There Was More to the Story…

There Was More to the Story…

May 30, 2018 A.D.

The BVM Caritas Medjugorje Pilgrimage group arrived late yesterday and experienced their first full day of pilgrimage today. This May 28 – June 6 pilgrimage, is the group which most took advantage of the special 72-hour sale back in February. As many remember, we mentioned back in February that there were several couples celebrating wedding anniversaries on this group. One such couple will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. That was the story we told back in February because that was all we knew. What we found out today was that there was more to the story.

Medjugorje Pilgrim Praying Rosary

A BVM Caritas pilgrim prays the Rosary on Apparition Mountain today, May 30, 2018. Our Lady has told us to pray the Rosary every day, especially in the family. Our Lady of Medjugorje said on September 27, 1984, “…I request the families of the parish to pray the Family Rosary…” and on August 25, 1997, Our Lady said, “…The Rosary, little children, is especially dear to me…”

Medjugorje is a place of healing. Medjugorje also causes healing, even for those who have had a chance to go on pilgrimage. Ealier this year, in February, we mentioned one couple that was going to be on this pilgrimage group, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. This was all we knew back in February. But, there was more to the story.

Years ago, this couple were separated because of marriage problems. The wife then found out about Caritas and Medjugorje. She joined a prayer group who shared a Friend of Medjugorje’s writings. After some time, and many prayers, the husband and wife got back together again, no doubt because of the prayers. When they got back together, the wife wanted to go to Medjugorje, but did not think her husband would want to as they were still working out many problems. So, the wife waited. Then, earlier this year, her husband asked the wife what she wanted for their 50th wedding anniversary and she knew this was the time to ask. She said that going to Medjugorje is what she wanted, and her husband agreed.

This pilgrimage, as with every Medjugorje pilgrimage is not only a blessing for all those who take part, but also for those taking part at home, enduring similar circumstances, waiting for that miracle to take place. We pray that all feel the grace of the prayers offered from this Holy Village by the Caritas Community with the group right now. For all those enduring a struggling marriage, a wayward child, or any other tragedy of life, pray in union with the Caritas Community and group, that the graces experienced by this group will benefit you as well, remembering Our Lady’s words of May 25, 2018:

“…I am calling you: do not neglect prayer because prayer works miracles…”

Whether the miracle is in your daily life, or the miracle is being able to go to Medjugorje yourself, know that with prayer, anything good can happen.
