Today, just two days away from Christmas, we share the four preparations one should be making.
The home of a Friend of Medjugorje and his wife, December 10, 2019 – The three wise men did not see the star by being idle, but because they were full of good-will and active in looking for the signs from Heaven. Our Lady of Medjugorje said, May 2, 2016, “Observe well the signs of the time…”
These are the four preparations we should be active in at this moment:
1. Spiritual Preparing: the Nine Days Before Christmas Novena, it is not too late to stop and begin. If you have missed it to this point, begin today fresh.
2. Physical Preparing: Many make material preparations for their Christmas meal. Look at simplifying it. A Friend of Medjugorje, in order to simplify the physical preparations for Christmas, and to be united with Little Jesus Who came to us poor, has the Caritas Community have a simple meal of chicken soup. We wrote more about this about 10 years ago, and many changed their Christmas to make it more simple. Read more here…
3. Spiritual Anticipation: On Christmas day, Our Lady will give Her monthly message for the world through Marija, and Her annual apparition to Jakov. Begin now to pray for Our Lady’s words to speak to you directly. As a Friend of Medjugorje has prayed many times, ask for Our Lady to give you one sentence that will speak directly to you. How is this possible with tens of thousands of you reading this right now? We can affirm, it is possible. The message will be available here on the site as soon as we get it.
4. Physical Anticipation: Make a decision to stop and honor the moment of apparition on Christmas day. Your local apparition times can be found here. Since many are already gathered with your families, just take a few minutes to stop and pray that your family would be blessed by Our Lady this year. Just those few moments with your family in honoring Our Lady will make an eternity of difference for your family. The apparition time in Europe will be in the afternoon, in the U.S. will be in the morning time.

Merry Christmas to all of you! This has been tugging at me all day so I just have to share it. My nine year old Grandson and I have been praying together the Nine Days before Christmas Novena. During our Rosary, it felt as if we were there with you praying together. I could feel all of us together in the field, the smell of the outdoors, the coolness of the breeze, and the feeling of the purpose and happiness I have felt in the past being in your company at Caritas. I have prayed for many years for the Reconciliation of myself, my spouse, & my family back to God, but also back to each other. I miss the time when our children were young and shared the 8 Days during Advent preparing for Christmas with you. The road may be long but Our Lady did not give up on us. It is my hope that I will have a reunion of my family and we will pilgrimage to Caritas to celebrate. Thank you for this Novena, it is the most beautiful gift. God bless you all & Merry Christmas.
