The Field of Apparitions
The holy site near Birmingham, Alabama, the Field of Apparitions, where Our Lady Queen of Peace appeared to Marija Lunetti, one of the six visionaries of Medjugorje, for the first time on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1988. During the apparition, Our Lady appeared with 12 stars around Her head. Our Lady promised from this spot to carry all our intentions to the Father. She gave a message, through Marija, saying:
“I invite you to live my messages. I am here to help you! I will intercede for you to God for all your intentions.”

Since then, tens of thousands have flocked in pilgrimage to this sacred spot with their intentions to offer in prayer to Our Lady. Many receive special graces and answers to their prayers. The Community of Caritas meets daily in the Field of Apparitions at 5:oo a.m. and again for the daily rosary, 10 a.m. in the winter, 11 a.m. in the summer, which coincides with the apparition time in Medjugorje. The Field is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
