“I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful Rosary for our Country…”
As we near the historic gathering, praying the Patriotic Rosary at Independence Hall in Philadelphia on October 15, we continue to put out the call for a deepening of prayer in this time. Someone recently wrote to us about the Patriotic Rosary:

“I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful Rosary for our Country. I have been praying it everyday and I haven’t missed a day. I think this is so powerful and I know God will hear us…”

The United States of America was consecrated to Mary, Immaculate Virgin, by Bishop John Carroll in 1792.1 The U.S. Bishops formally named Mary Immaculate as the Patroness of the United States in 1846. The consecration by the U.S. Bishops was renewed in 1959, and another re-consecration took place in 2006.2 A Friend of Medjugorje wrote that America is Hers.3
We are seeing today, the polarization of what a Friend of Medjugorje wrote about in 2006:
“…There is a polarization taking place in our nation, darkness vs. light. In the book of Judas Maccabees in the Bible, similar events unfolded. We are at its beginning and with 14 years of seven novenas a year,* something must result from the tens of millions of prayers prayed through these novenas to Our Lady…”4
The words, “…we are at its beginning…” which were penned by a Friend of Medjugorje 10 years ago are being seen manifested everyday. It is important to be closer to Our Lady in this time. Our Lady said on October 2, 2016:
“…the Holy Spirit, according to the Heavenly Father, made me the mother — the mother of Jesus — and by this alone, also your mother. That is why I am coming to hear you, that I may open my motherly arms to you…”
We know that with prayer with the heart, God will hear us. Be in deep prayer, that Our Lady will hear us and open Her motherly arms to us, and to our nation that is consecrated to Her. It is important to be a part of the historic prayer gathering, praying the Patriotic Rosary at Independence Hall on Saturday October 15. Although I won’t be able to be there, I will be praying along with you. While reading scripture today, I felt urged to suggest that upon completion of the Rosary on Oct 15, you should also read the following scripture passage Acts 4:23-31. It is a community prayer that very much applies today. The second time I prayed it I replaced Herod with Obama, Congress, and the people of our country. As a Friend of Medjugore urges, we need to have boldness, and it will only come through the Holy Spirit.
