Take the Cross

Take the Cross

Suffering – who can escape it these days?

February 26, 2016 A.D.

Our Lady of Medjugorje said yesterday, February 25, 2016:

“…Take the Cross, look at Jesus and follow Him. He gives Himself to you to the death on the Cross, because He loves you…”

Mt. Krizevac in Medjugorje

Mt. Krizevac, Cross Mountain in Medjugorje, visited by millions of people, carrying all their Crosses of life. Our Lady has come to teach us about that which we cannot escape in this life.

What does it mean for Our Lady to say “take the Cross”? A Friend of Medjugorje tells us:

“Suffering – who can escape it these days? It seems as an affliction upon us all. Yet, Our Lady says of this time:

December 25, 1995

“…This time is the time of grace…”

It seems somewhat of a contradiction to be in the time of grace and so many of Our Lady’s committed children are suffering. Yet, we have the lives of the saints who are faithful reproductions of Christ. Their lives were filled with crosses, trials and sufferings. Most want to unite themselves to Christ, but few wish to pay the price of doing so in completeness. Christ suffered, and the more you unite to Him, the more you will experience the same. Why? To unite with Christ is to turn against the ways of the world. The world, in turn, is not tolerant of your effort toward change and will hate and persecute you for it…”1

When you begin to change your life through Our Lady, She will form you into “Christ.” When your family, your best friend, even your priest turn against you, do not be surprised. It is part of the walk with Our Lady along Jesus’ path.*

  1. This is a time of grace. It is where our crosses can turn into blessings if we only say, YES!!, to God. Our Lady will teach us how to “Take the cross, look at Jesus and follow Him” My husband lost his job and we may have to leave our home that we love and believed Our Lady brought us to in the mountains. My husband would very seldom pray the rosary with me as a family as Our Lady invites us. Losing his job and financial security God has humbled him. His heart is opening more to the graces God is giving us in this time through Our Lady. We pray everyday the rosary and I see how this cross is being transformed into ” A time of grace” in bringing my husband to what is the truth and the life. Jesus. It was beautiful to pray in the field together with you snowing in Alabama!!. Not only did my husband want to come, he also prayed on his knees in the snow. You are a living example of how crosses can become joy and peace in the mist of great adversities.Thank you. In the love of Mary, Peace.

  2. How can anyone at the Vatican have an issue with this blessed place? Do you really think satan would ask this? Pray for our fallen priests and bishops MIke

  3. Thank you for all your writings which I really look forward to. This is just as Our Blessed Mother would say it. Straight from the heart. Thank you!
