When we heard a Friend of Medjugorje speak during the July 29, 2021, Special World Report titled, Losing God’s Blessing, this writing immediately came to mind, as it is a timeless message that we believe future generations will look back upon and be in wonder of how the present age did not heed the call of Our Lady’s messages in Medjugorje. When you get to the end, we have an important update regarding the Mej plea, and where we are in reaching our goal for 2021.

 

The following was originally published in a Caritas of Birmingham Words of the Harvesters newsletter. As we look at the signs of the time, now after 40 years of apparitions, it is amazing to see how prophetic a Friend of Medjugorje’s words were in 2009.  – Medjugorje.com

 

It is important to stop and pray to the Holy Spirit before entering into this writing. As it was being written, the ideas put forth on paper were placed very strongly in the heart of a Friend of Medjugorje, but it is difficult to communicate these ideas and thoughts, with the same intensity. It will only be through prayer that the gravity of these words will penetrate and move the hearts who read what follows. So please pray and ask the Holy Spirit to come over you, to guide your thoughts and lead you in what is written and left unwritten.

 

The World is in its Death Throes

Recently during Rosary in the Field, one-year-old Rebekah was playing with Rebel, the one dog of the Community. As with any dog and young infants, Rebel mesmerizes the little ones. Just as the other children have done before her, Rebekah is at the age when she lights up when she sees him. At Rosary time, she crawls to him, pulls up on him, and is in his canine face without fear. Rebel likes to lie on his back and chew on sticks that the little kids give him while they watch him crunch them up. Rebekah was watching him, just six inches away, face to face with Rebel’s upside down mouth in full view of his teeth. Seeing this many times, Rebekah had no fear of the chomping teeth, but rather had only a smile and a joyful twinkle in her eyes. A Community adult member put his finger in Rebel’s teeth and let Rebel gently bite his finger. Rebekah suddenly had an awakening. Her face became straight and deathly serious while she computed in her little mind, “That thing don’t just chew sticks, but can eat fingers.” It took all of five seconds for her to compute this new horrible reality. We laughed as she high-tailed it into fifth gear, crawling into the arms of the nearest adult, and then knowing she was safe, she looked back at that ferocious thing that just a short while before had mesmerized and entertained her.

 

Our children live in an oasis of peace. Our life, our prayer is the fruit that comes from desiring what Our Lady wants for us here. While we consider it a privilege to live in Community, we, however, are not privileged above anyone else in regard to the opportunities for anyone to do the same. We decided for this, sacrificed for this, worked for this with interest only in the desires God had for our lives. And even here in Community, one still must decide to be internally an oasis of peace. Our Lady has made Herself quite clear in this for all. However, She has also made it clear that, as Rebekah played and was mesmerized for months in front of ferocious canine teeth without the knowledge of what else could happen, so are many face to face with satan, ignorant because of a lack of prayer or a decision to live holiness. They do not see that satan is playing with them, just as a “Rebel,” and will sink his teeth in them at the right moment. For years, Our Lady has tried to get the world to see this and become as a little Rebekah and flee from satan, running quickly into Her arms. But many do not want that because they like “the play” satan performs and are mesmerized by him. So many people, including many Christians, do not have peace, do not live in a family oasis because they only partially, and do not want to fully, incorporate Our Lady’s messages into their lives. Hence, they do not experience the love and oasis of peace God desires to give them in their everyday life. Our Lady of Medjugorje said:

 

March 25, 1992

“…I invite you to change your life because you have taken a path of misery, a path of ruin. When I told you, ‘Convert, pray, fast, be reconciled,’ you took these messages superficially…And so you have gone away from God and from me because of your miserable interest. I wanted to create of you an oasis of peace, love and goodness… Therefore, here is what I say to you, ‘satan is playing with you and with your souls and I cannot help you because you are far from my heart.’ Therefore, pray, live my messages and then you will see the miracles of God’s love in your every day life…”

 

Our Lady is always teaching us something, just as with the five second lesson of ‘lil’ Rebekah fleeing from danger. We must realize we are in the midst of a profound moment in history. Few do. While writing this Words of the Harvesters, a break was taken to go for a walk and to pray a Rosary for the intention that Our Lady would inspire what was being written. As the last decade was being prayed, a bumper sticker was seen on a car which stated, “Be kind,” and underneath it continued, “Everyone is in a great struggle.” Amazingly, this is defined in the August 2, 1981, message from Our Lady:

 

“…A great struggle is about to unfold. A struggle between my Son and satan. Human souls are at stake.”

 

What the bumper sticker stated, the Divine Wisdom had already revealed: that every single person on the face of the earth, all 6½ billion people, “Everyone is in a great struggle.” The struggle of the soul is to be either enslaved, trapped, and mesmerized by satan or to be attracted by Our Lady, running into Her arms, the arms of our Mother, who teaches us to “be kind” to help lead others away from satan, just as She helped us to be free from him, to be holy and in peace.

 

Therefore, it is an impossibility for the world not to be in its death throes. This is why we are living in a profound moment, greater than any in history outside of the time Christ walked the earth. With a strong prayer life and a perceptive spirit, one will recognize what many are not able to see. With each new day, Our Lady’s visit through Her Medjugorje apparitions, gives to the earth one more blessing over the entire world. In countering and, therefore, creating the great struggle, satan adds one more day of growing his decadence over the world. Up until recently, this struggle was within one’s own soul and personal trials. Now, however, the struggle is beginning to manifest physically in the culture. We begin to realize the magnitude of this great struggle, as the grace from Our Lady’s visits grows along side the darkness of satan who was unbound, as Our Lady announced on January 1, 2001*, and let loose in the world. Though it be individually and personally “your great struggle,” everyone being included in it comprises the whole world.

 

It is now a “particular time” in history** in which these two powers contend for each individual in the hope to win over the whole world. As two generals who are building and forming an army, the amount of grace and of darkness are at the point of a catastrophic confrontation that will change life as we know it, sending the world into a proxy hell on earth, a Babylon…or a proxy Heaven on earth, an Oasis where angels will freely descend upon the land, villages, and families. This is not to imply that all the earth will be made of believers, but rather believers will be able, as individuals, to experience what we experience in the daily life of our community… an oasis, a home where grace abounds, bringing the possibility for peace this century. As Our Lady of Medjugorje said a few days before the turn of the century:

 

December 25, 1999

“…I am giving you the possibility to decide for peace. Through your ‘yes’ for peace and your decision for God, a new possibility for peace is opened. Only in this way, little children, this century will be for you a time of peace and well-being…”

 

What will life be like with Our Lady’s victory? If Our Lady wins, it is impossible for the world culture to remain as it has been for past decades or as it is now. Her victory, Her amounting and banking up graces are now manifesting attacks against the financial systems, political systems, consumerism, the corruption and decadence—in short, everything which prevents man from coming to the love of God. Do you doubt it? Again, it is impossible for Our Lady’s victory through Her presence not to annihilate what is not of God. She represents God and it is God who:

“…desires to convert the entire world…”

 

The world, therefore, is under an edict–a death sentence of its wayward ways. The wayward ways and Our Lady’s presence cannot coexist. Her daily visits are forcing a confrontation with satan’s gains. As Our Lady said:

 

March 25, 2008

“…Everything is passing, little children, only God is not passing…”

 

Those “things” passing are being purified. With Our Lady’s victory, it is impossible for us not to witness a new way. A new way will result in a new world. Man has built, by his own strength, a house of straw from the financial to the materialism. Our Lady said:

 

January 25, 1997

“…You are creating a new world without God, only with your own strength…”

 

We must bind ourselves not to material things but to God.

 

August 25, 2001

“…Be real with yourselves and do not bind yourselves to material things but to God. ..”

 

This straw house is without God and without peace and is beginning to be purified back to how man was intended to live. Our Lady continued in the above message of August 25, 2001:

 

“…And do not forget, little children, that your life is as passing as a flower…”

 

Not only man’s life but also the life of the world, the culture as we know it now, is about to undergo a “redirection.” Institutions, thought to be invincible, will fall along with many errors of the world. The fall of the errors does not mean that the great confrontational struggle, comprising a great purification, will not take place and we can all relax. Rather we must understand the harsh winter the world must go through is programmed into creation to bring forth a beautiful spring. This will result from you following Our Lady’s messages. This is Her intention. Our Lady says:

 

October 25, 2000

“…pray for my intentions. I desire to renew prayer with you and to call you to fast which I desire to offer to my Son Jesus for the coming of a new time—a time of spring…”

 

What is the new spring associated with? The Church? Yes, but much more, a total transformation of society. If we reflect on our future as Our Lady in Medjugorje says, if we read the Bible as Our Lady says, if we live a simple life as Our Lady says, if we go back to what was the beginning in living the way, as Our Lady says, we will see man’s air of confidence, his artistic ideals, his pretentiousness, his sophistication and many accomplishments were inflated and exaggerated. And we will understand that man will return to what is real. A Chinese proverb states:

 

“Man, despite his artistic pretensions, his sophistication and his many accomplishments owes his existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”

 

Spring brings forth the fruits of the earth. It manifests in creation the resurrection of man back to his roots. Man, no matter how sophisticated he gets, returns to where he started.

 

“The greatest fine art of the future will be the making of a comfortable living on a small piece of land.”***

Abraham Lincoln

 

The declaration on the Farmer’s Almanac printed on every cover over the past 212 years states:

 

“Agriculture is the mother of all industry.”

 

Industrial manufacturing, auto manufacturing can cease, technology can blow away with the wind, all businesses can fold and close their doors, but it will never happen with agriculture for it is the foundation stone by which all industry is built and rebuilt. It is ordained as “the mother of all industry.”

 

But what of those who do not want to be in the soil? Then learn how to make plows. And your uncle, who likewise doesn’t want to work the soil, he can make iron for you to make the plow. Work is good. Work is holy. Jesus worked as a carpenter and He worked with wood which came from the soil. All of this is physical economy, but we’ve become a paper society. The culture’s paper speculative society is being exorcised as the demons are cast away through Our Lady’s daily blessing of the world. The people who are known in France as the more Godly and virtuous are the people of Brittany, a farming region. Regions across the world that tend to have stronger faith in God are the rural areas. Thomas Jefferson said:

 

“When we get piled up upon one another in large cities as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.”

 

Do not wait for winter. While society is in the fall, while society is dying as the leaves do on the trees, make preparations for winter by preparing for spring. This is why Our Lady says:

“…do not forget that you live in a time of grace, in which God gives you great graces through my presence…make good use of this time…”

 

March 21, 1985

“…Therefore, I call on you—accept me, dear children, that it might go well with you. Listen to my messages…”

What you have read above from a Friend of Medjugorje feeds your soul. This is what Our Lady has called him to do in spreading the Medjugorje message to the whole world. Thousands of people have been touched and fed by what Our Lady has shown a Friend of Medjugorje in not just praying more, but turning the messages into a physical way of life, that we know with certainty will be the future of the world.

 

We have already stated that we do not want to have to shut down the site in order the raise the funds to keep this spiritual direction feeding the world. We need everyone to help.

 

A major development happened earlier today.

 

A very generous individual has stepped forward and donated $15,000 to the Mej plea!

 

The total now raised is $35,840!

 

This puts us just below half-way.

 

If three more individuals did the same thing we would be able to finish this plea.
