Special Edition: Recent Evangelization Trip to Texas with a Friend of Medjugorje

April 22, 2019 A.D.

“Thank you so much for coming to Texas. We need you in Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Waco, Fort Worth, Victoria, and all our cities. The evil is trying to take over Texas. Please come back soon. We must keep Texas in Jesus & Mother Mary’s Hands”

The recent encounters with a Friend of Medjugorje in Bridge City and El Campo, Texas, were the first since 2012-2014, when a Friend of Medjugorje shared about They Fired the First Shot 2012, visiting 18 cities in a 21-month period, along with three conventions at Caritas. A Friend of Medjugorje’s last public talk altogether was on October 15, 2016, at Independence Hall, just before the 2016 presidential elections. The growth of Caritas has required that a Friend of Medjugorje spend less time on the road and more time directing the expansion of the Caritas mission. With much expansion still needed, but already moving in a good direction, a Friend of Medjugorje accepted the invitations to come to Texas. Interestingly, the release of the evangelization trips for They Fired the First Shot 2012, back in August of 2012, also started in Texas.

Since the new book’s release, March 9, 2019, the book Big Q, Little Q: The Calm Before the Storm…, has quickly become the most popular Medjugorje book of 2019. The book continues to cross many barriers and introduce Our Lady to many different audiences.

“…we’re in an epic battle right now. This all explains Q, this explains what’s happening in Washington right now and the whole world. There is a fight going on. It is a great battle…”

Bridge City, Texas – April 11, 2019

volunteer talks with visitor in Bridge City, Texas.

A volunteer speaks with another visitor at the Bridge City, Texas talk, where Friend of Medjugorje shared for the first time in a public setting the new book, Big Q, Little Q. “Q” both Big and Little, continue to be the talk of the Medjugorje world, and the nation as events unfold, showing physical manifestation of what a Friend of Medjugorje wrote about in Big Q, Little Q.

Setup for these talks usually takes 3-5 hours. We were told that we would barely have 3 hours to set up in the Bridge City Community Center. When we pressed for more time, the city officials allowed it, but we were told not to talk to the maintenance man who would unlock the doors. When we arrived at the location the maintenance man, watching us setup a statue of Our Lady asked one of the volunteers helping, “Why do you worship Mary and not Jesus?” The volunteer, a young 16-year-old boy gave him a very simple answer: “Your mother always wants what is best for you. The world is hurting right now, and God is sending His Mother because She knows what is best for us.” The maintenance man responded that this made sense. The young volunteer gave the maintenance man a small packet of Caritas materials. The man quickly went to his truck and began reading through it all, while we continued to set up for a Friend of Medjugorje’s talk.

Throughout the night, which lasted until very late, the maintenance man came in and listened while a Friend of Medjugorje talked about Big Q and Little Q. Following the talk, the maintenance man continued to stick around, waiting for us to pack up so he could lock up the building. While waiting, he approached a Friend of Medjugorje and spoke to him for about 30 minutes. The man left with a bag full of Medjugorje materials. A Friend of Medjugorje said that the man was Catholic but had not been practicing his faith. A Friend of Medjugorje said that if we came the entire way only for this one man, then the whole trip was worth it.

Visitors listening to a Friend of Medjugorje in Bridge City, Texas.

Many drove from several hours away to hear a Friend of Medjugorje tell about Medjugorje, the plans of Our Lady and the book, Big Q, Little Q: The Calm Before the Storm… For some, attracted by the subject of Big Q, Little Q, this was their first real exposure to Our Lady’s Medjugorje messages.

“…Our Lady is here to go back to the original roots of Christianity. Our Lady said the Church is being betrayed and it has always been betrayed, but it grew through the suffering, through the blood of the martyrs. And Medjugorje brings this – a living martyrdom. Once you join Her, She’s got to purify you, because we are restarting Christianity back to its origin. We’ve forgotten how to live Christianity in this modern time…”

A Friend of Medjugorje
El Campo, Texas – April 12, 2019

A listener taking notes as a Friend of Medjugorje speaks in El Campo, Texas.

We saw lots of people taking notes while a Friend of Medjugorje spoke. There was much to take in, and more which will surely be revealed as the coming days unfold. This was the first of encounters with a Friend of Medjugorje, with several more being planned as we write this.

On Friday April 12, 2019, we headed south towards El Campo. This encounter with a Friend of Medjugorje took place in a church parish hall. The turnout was much bigger than expected, and we had to add more seating to accommodate the numbers of people flowing in the doors.

“My husband and I went to El Campo, Texas to hear Friend of Medjugorje speak about Medjugorje and his new book Big Q, Little Q. The experience was awesome, we literally felt like we were on a pilgrimage. It was so wonderful to hear about Our Lady’s messages and the hope of our future. It was also very motivating to hear Friend of Medjugorje remind us that we are Our Lady’s apostles and we all have to play our part and be Her extended hands. Caritas showed a beautiful clip of Medjugorje and a couple clips of Big Q, Little Q, which were very eye opening. We are so grateful Caritas put this gathering together. Everything was very organized and from the heart. I truly felt Our Lady’s presence that evening. Thank you, Friend of Medjugorje for staying strong and never wavering. May Our Lady keep Caritas safe and close under Her mantle.”

The Medjugorje truck, is an 18-wheeler and trailer which a Friend of Medjugorje purchased in 2014, and then designed a graphic of Medjugorje to go on its side. A Friend of Medjugorje knew the impact the truck would have on people seeing it on the road. He is resolute with the mission of Caritas to witness Our Lady and Her plans in every way possible. Our Lady of Medjugorje said on April 25, 2017:

“…I am with you and intercede for each of you so that, with love and resoluteness, you may witness and encourage all those who are far from my Immaculate Heart…”

Our truck, as with everything which a Friend of Medjugorje purchases for the Caritas mission, is for the purposes of conversion – even an 18-wheeler.

The Medjugorje truck on the way from Bridge City to El Campo, Texas. Hundreds of thousands of eyes looked upon this truck in the four-day journey from Alabama to Texas and back again.

There was bad weather forecasted for the way home, but we managed to miss it most of the way. Traveling back from Texas for the long ride back to Alabama, we stopped for Holy Mass. We had to park the 18-wheeler behind the church because it would not fit along the street. After Mass, one person asked if that was our truck outside. When one Caritas Community member said yes, they told us that we were very welcome there. Walking out the church, another person asked if that was our Medjugorje truck. We responded that yes it was, and they said that they were very glad to have us there. Two Caritas Community members were wearing the Big Q shirts, so it made us easy to spot, since the back of the shirt has the same image as what is on the back of the truck. When we were about to pull out, a family pulled up in their car and wanted to take a picture of the truck. The man told us that he read about Medjugorje and followed it years ago, but life got busy and he fell away. The community members spoke to him about the new book, Big Q, and gave him a packet of materials along with a copy of the new book. The man handed the packet to his wife, who immediately started reading some of the short books. The man told us that he would be visiting Mej.com as soon as he got home.

Our Medjugorje truck and Big Q shirts with the same quote make you wasy to spot

Originally written in They Fired the First Shot 2012, the “Give me my Liberator” quote from a Friend of Medjugorje is on the back of the Big Q t-shirts and the Medjugorje truck. As a special offering since going on the road, a Friend of Medjugorje had us change the pricing of the shirts to what we call evangelization mode”. In order to spread faster the word about the new book, Caritas is now offering the t-shirts for only $6 each and the long-sleeved shirts for only $8 each! That means that whatever quantity you order from now on, whether one shirt or one hundred, you will get the new pricing, $6 for the t-shirts and $8 for the long-sleeved shirts. You can order your Big Q shirts online with the evangelization mode”  pricing here…

As we mentioned already, we barely were ahead of bad weather, which was right behind us. We got home to Caritas on Saturday, April 13, at about 9:30 PM, a long 16-hour journey. After securing the truck, we managed to finally make it to bed by 11:30 PM. Just after 4:00 AM, the weather alarms went off that there was possible tornadic activity in the area, heading towards Caritas.

There was a “calm” that descended upon the whole area for a few minutes and then the rain started to come down do hard that some community members said it sounded like the roof was being sprayed with a fire hose. Then, in just a few minutes, the single consecrated men’s house was shaken by a violent impact that felt like a train hit the house, practically knocking them out of their beds. Glancing out the windows, tree branches could be seen, and rain started pouring in a new hole in the ceiling. When it became daylight, Sunday morning, April 14, an entire tree, base in the air, was seen laying completely on the house, with two branches poking in the roof. We felt blessed that no one was hurt, though there was damage inside the house caused by the impact. One thing that struck us profoundly. It was exactly one month ago, to the day, March 13, 2019, a “bomb cyclone”, an incredible storm hit the entire United States, just after the release of the new book, Big Q, Little Q: The Calm Before the Storm… Many at the time, saw it as a sign. Here it was, exactly one month to the day after the “bomb cyclone” and after a Friend of Medjugorje’s first talks about the new book, another major storm broke out. Are we seeing the calm before the storm? We’ll find out…

The tree which fell on the single consecrated men's house the morning of April 14, 2019

The base of the tree with dirt and all, bears complete weight on the house. This picture does not quite do justice to the size of the tree, nor the damage. The trunk of this tree was around 22 inches in diameter, while on top of the roof, two branches are poked in through.

  1. I think of that inmate often, and pray he is still reading/keeping up with Mej.com as best he can. I pray he is on the mailing list to get everything he can from Caritas.

  2. Sorry! Part II!..Remember the inmate, during the fund raising when mej.com was offline? He spoke of Our Lady’s picture in the pieta prayer book! I immediately knew what He was referring too! Although many years had passed, I had a pieta prayer book and an early version of Words from Heaven! But, as I said, in my ignorance, I thought Caritas was just a publishing company! In the last 4 years following you…I hope I’ve grown up a bit. So many things brought to full circle! I truely believe I owe my conversion to you and Wayne! Praying you are coming to California soon!!

  3. Amen to Northren Apostle!! I am so full of excitement at Friend of Mejugorie’s decision to come back out to us who are far from you!! Since following Caritas since 2015, I have realized that my spiritual birth, was sparked from Caritas in cohort with Wayne Weible. And I think…did I hear you…at the Medjugorie Peace Conference in Irvine, California? Early 2000s… You had to be there…I was young, but I purchased an early version of Words from Heaven as well as the Pieta. I remember hearing at that conference that Our Lady was appearing in Alabama. But the voices around me, as you have said, were saying, “Well, She’s appearing because the visionary is there.” But someone at the table said She was giving messages for America. I was stunned! “She is?!” So I think I also walked away with a pamphlet of those messages. I never heard then, that She had asked for a community. Honestly, I thought Caritas was a publishing company! Until you were off line…remember the inmate

  4. Northern Apostle

I thank God for the community and their safety from the storms. I thank God for the travelling the community is now doing. I pray for the protection of the community, especially for the consecrated men whom are carrying out an outstanding job within the community and the devil wishes to injure. St. Michael, may your protection be over the entire community. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
