She Really Hears Us

This visit of Marija to Ecuador, was arranged by a Friend of Medjugorje, along with another man from Ecuador, who was miraculously healed in the Bedroom of Apparitions at Caritas, in March 2011. Our Lady is a mother. Like all mothers, Our Lady knows what it is like to have a small child call Her name, over and over again because the child has a need. In the past months, it is certain that Our Lady’s name has been called again and again, so much so, that Our Lady, immediately, without saying the usual, “Dear children, today,” lets us know right away that She hears us. This message, given a few days ago on June 25, reminds us of another story, in which Our Lady made this known to a Friend of Medjugorje, and it is a lesson for all of us.

Almost 30 years ago, a Friend of Medjugorje had a very important intention laid upon his heart. It was an intention that was really about the future of Caritas and its mission, about Our Lady’s plans here in Alabama. He felt strongly enough to go to Medjugorje to implore Our Lady about this intention. At the time, Marija was going to St. James Church every day for the apparition, but this particular time, Marija was sick and had the apparition at her home.

A Friend of Medjugorje was at Marija’s home, and was present during Marija’s apparition of Our Lady this particular day. During the apparition, a Friend of Medjugorje poured out his heart to Our Lady. The words of his prayer was that Our Lady would just please, “hear” him.

After the apparition, Marija said, “Our Lady did something very strange today.” Marija continued and explained that during the apparition, Our Lady leaned forward, tilting Her ear towards them. A Friend of Medjugorje, struck by Marija’s words asked, “What do you think this meant Marija?” Marija responded to him, “Our Lady was showing us that She was listening to us.”

Needless to say, this was a major consolation for a Friend of Medjugorje, and it happened later, that his intention was granted. But, this story is a witness for all of us, that if your heart is sincere, and you are striving to work for Our Lady, then She will see to it that nothing of your needs, will go without being met. That is everything: your own life, your family, your nation, your church, everything. She really hears us. Of this, we are witnesses.
