“No one can serve two masters. He will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life– what you shall eat or drink– or about your body– what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

“Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap. They gather nothing into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you, by worrying, add a single moment to your life span?

“Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wildflowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will He not much more provide for you, oh you of little faith?

“So do not worry and say, what are we to eat? Or what shall we drink? Or what are we to wear? All these things the pagans seek. Your Heavenly Father knows that you need them all.

“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.”

[ANNOUNCER]

And this is Mejanomics with a Friend of Medjugorje.

If you heard a Friend of Medjugorje’s broadcast on the 25th that was titled “Peace is Now”, he lays out very clearly about how Our Lady’s implementing that plan of peace. We’ve had a few questions about that broadcast and Some of them were financial in nature, and so the purpose of tonight’s broadcast will be to cover some of that ground.

This broadcast that we’re sharing with you tonight with a Friend of Medjugorje is from January 2010.

And a Friend of Medjugorje explains that the problems we have are not financial, it’s the way we live. And he poses the question, how do you have peace with the system the way it is now if God’s not at peace with it?

The title of the broadcast is “Worrying or Thinking”. Here is a Friend of Medjugorje, January 2010.

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

We want to again welcome you to our program and welcome us into your homes and places and in your cars who download this later, and those who pass it on to friends who may not be familiar with what we do.

But basically, our financial problems and our things and anxieties that we have and worries that so many people have today is really the program’s not so much as do A to get to B as much as a financial philosophy.

What is our approach to finances or to our means of our livelihood or how we make our way in life?

Really, if you form a philosophy, you’ll know how to make those decisions. Because people often write to us and say, what I do with this and this and this?

Well, what you have to do is back up and have a financial philosophy. I’ve said it before. I was taught growing up, don’t have credit cards. The best credit to have is bad credit because you can’t borrow money.

So that means what you own, you don’t have a loan for it. You build little by little. And I went by that philosophy. My dad drilled it into me.

I just got through reading a book to something else so I understood from a young age is you can’t do anything by yourself. And Our Lady’s forming community because of that. It works better. Not one family can take care of the cow, the chickens, whatever, or even in the modern day, if you take it from the agrarian way of life to today, the dad works and everything worked with the kids and the family in the subdivision.

It doesn’t work that way. And our neighborhoods aren’t neighborhoods. And so, we have a whole intangible system that actually has brought slavery. And so, all of it comes down to not the proper thinking and not the proper approach to our financial stability and the way we live.

↓ Share your thoughts – It helps bring people to conversion ↓

And I’m saying financial because that’s the way people are identifying things today when really it’s not that. It’s a way of life. If you form a way of life, that’s the umbrella over how you make it and what decisions you’ll be making about your way to eat or put a roof over your head.

And so much of the answers we discuss is found in forming of a proper mentality, a proper philosophy in your approach to how will I make income? Today people are taught to go to school, they’re drilled by the parents, they’re drilled by the teachers, they’re drilled by themselves, they’re drilled by the billboards, the system.

Go get a university education, for what? What’s the purpose of that? Because I want to make my career, no, the purpose is to have a way of life.

The purpose should be putting people, what kind of way of life do I want? What is God leading me to?

Our Lady once said, do novenas where you feel most bound. So where are you bound? To the university? Who’s telling you that? Who’s feeding this garbage to you? Because I say it’s garbage.

Because the universities are tainted today with this whole system. Very corrupt. Very corrupt. Is there some good professors out there? Yeah, I know one of them very well.

But he’s a miniscule percent compared to what runs these learning institutions. Education is very important. It’s just who you’re going to let educate you. And most people by large have the wrong ideas about how to approach everything.

Well, I get married, I get a loan, I get a house, I get a loan, I get a car, I get a loan, I get this, I get a loan even for furniture today. All of which is absurd. Unbiblical.

Read your Bible. Owe no man anything. You know, how do you do that? Well, you say, how do you start? Well, I started with a shovel. When I bought my first shovel, I made money with that shovel to buy the second shovel.

And from there, many shovels to buy a machine that would dig, what, 10 shovels, 100 shovels would do. And from there, that machine bought something else.

One step at a time. But see, that requires patience. It requires vision. It requires a philosophy. What I have, I own. What I own, I can be at peace with. And we’ve gotten away from this. We’ve gotten away where the bank owns everything everybody has.

And so how do you have peace with that? How do you be in peace with the system? God’s not. It’s usury. Nobody uses that word now. And it changed even in the membership of the Church, not with the Church, but the membership of the Church.

I’m talking about the hierarchy to the people. And that money became a commodity, like apples or like oranges or like lumber. They started viewing this money as that, and money is to make money off of.

It’s still usury. We’ve just accepted this heresy that nobody identifies as a heresy. It’s A heresy.

So, let’s put our perspectives in proper order. Jesus spoke against usury, and it’s wrong. The banking system’s wrong. The system is wrong. The system’s rotten.

And two things exist. The presence of Our Lady to lead us to another way, or the presence of what exists to lead us that way. Who do you want to make your bet on, if you want to put it in those terms?

And so we need to have a proper philosophy, and that’s really why we wanted to do Mejanomics. It’s not about you making money. It’s not about telling you, oh, go save your money this way.

Yeah, we believe very strongly, preserve your wealth, preserve the blessing God gave to you, share your blessing God gave to you. All these philosophies are important, and that’s some of the systems and things and the detail we might tell you.

But the most important thing to make all your decisions is learn how to make that decision. That comes from philosophy.

[COC I Reader]

It’s called “Do It Daily”.

“You must consciously prioritize your life every day. Most of us need to do this very practical exercise in the morning.

“Yes, I am saying you should get up 30 minutes earlier. When you get up, you can spend some time in the quiet of the morning assessing where you are and where you want to be.

“Most of us have grown up in an alarm clock society where we leap out of bed and run through the shower straight to the car, where we drink our first cup of coffee and put on our tie or makeup on the way to work, barely arriving at our place of employment on time.

“When I sit in traffic, I’m always amazed at the number of people who have become fairly good drivers while using their knees to steer so they can eat breakfast and get dressed on the way to work.

“You cannot only dramatically affect your financial life by having a quiet time early in the morning, but it will affect your career and your spiritual condition positively as well.

“In days past, America was largely an agricultural society and we kept different hours. My grandfather will still get up from his chair at 8.30 P.M. and say, ‘Honey, we’re going to have to go to bed so these folks can go home.’

“He was raised in a household where you got up at sunrise, worked hard physically all day, and then went to bed early.

“We do what we really want to do. If you truly want to change certain areas of your life to avoid pain and then prosper, you will have to try new ways of doing things.

“You have probably experienced having planned an exciting Saturday, one for which you had to wake up early and you wake up 30 minutes before your alarm clock goes off.

“It is amazing how your mind and body will cooperate for something you really want to do. If you want to have time to consciously prioritize your life daily, you will make the necessary changes in your lifestyle to accommodate that few minutes of serenity each day.

“You can spend your quiet time learning from your past by review, as well as thinking where you need to be in five years personally with your family and in your career.

“This time of reflection will cause you to make adjustments in all these areas of your life. You can also search out your spiritual part since your makeup is more important than just physical and emotional.

“I spend my time looking to the Lord Jesus Christ daily and weekly in church to strengthen and guide my life. You may ask, what does this have to do with money? Everything.

“We are spiritual beings and when you neglect that aspect of your life, you do not run on full power. All areas of your life will be affected including money. Yes, Christians have money problems too, but they have an extra ability to survive and prosper in the long run.

“As you add quiet time and grow spiritually, the quality of your life will improve and so will your financial condition.

“The personal and financial growth that these simple little changes in my daily schedule have brought me is immeasurable.

“My day starts under control, and so when the torpedoes hit, as they often do, I am ready. I am ready because I am not alone.

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

We had this naturally “fabric-ed” into the way of life when we were in agrarian society. The writer just says it when we were all into agriculture.

Ninety percent of the people put on the census in 1900 that their primary occupation was farming. And of course, we talk a lot about that and people say, oh, a Friend of Medjugorje wants everybody going to farming.

No, Our Lady’s leading to the Bible, read the Bible every day. God ordained Adam, by the sweat of your brow you shall eat.

And we’re trying to make things on a false system of making money on money or making money on reselling. And this is not a way of life. It’s a way of hectic anxiety, psychological problems, difficulty with kids, divorce. That’s what that fruit is.

You can’t say getting, because it’s this way. America lives this way. Jump in the car, jump in the shower, from the shower, jump in there, go to work and they’re late and they’re doing makeup on the way or whatever.

You see this every day. It’s true. You have that and then they get the money and then the weekend, you got money and people that are either come into money for some reason or either owe bills and before they pay those bills and those obligations, they’ve committed themselves to, they just want to go splurge on something.

That’s a sin. Every single sin produces some kind of bad fruit. Be it more worrying because you didn’t pay that bill and now you owe it and you don’t have the money because you had this immediate gratification which this whole system and probably a big, not probably a real fault of America and its people, is the commercialization of want.

TV commercials, radio, “you deserve this”. The whole concept, “you deserve this”. You don’t deserve anything. You don’t deserve anything in life.

We get what God gives us, and we should always say that’s a blessing, no matter how small. Why is it that some people make $40,000 a year and they’re going bankrupt? Why are some people make $300,000 a year and they’re going bankrupt?

Why is it some people making $16,000 a year and they’re going bankrupt? Why is it some people that make $16,000 a year, have a roof and it’s paid for over the head and they’re eating? It’s their philosophies. It’s the way they live.

So, what do you choose? And so, we’ve got to realize the errors in our society, the problem, the divorce, all these things are tied to this gratification, this greed, this want, this desire, just like Eve desired something she wasn’t supposed to have.

And we failed because Adam followed her. And we are a female-driven society. People don’t like to hear that, but we are. We’re A female-driven society. Everything on the billboards about the woman getting this, the man owes her this and this. It’s way out of whack.

↓ Share your thoughts – It helps bring people to conversion ↓

If you don’t agree with that, that’s fine. But you need to go to more prayer. And you’ll understand that. But we can’t even say he, meaning all of man, or mankind, because we’ve got to say he-she or humankind.

This is from the devil. I wrote a whole chapter on “How to Change Your Husband” about it. And it’s definitely tied to economics, because women have naturally an instinctive thing for desire.

A man has a natural instinct to want to please his wife and give her these things. And we need to go the other way. We need more of a manly society. We need to take charge. We need to be more in providership. We need to realize this is not a good thing. How am I going to feed my family later?

And little boys are being raised to have the same thing now because they’re feminized in this. Things, things, things. One of the things he should have is how is this going to help my family? Is this going, is this going, going to sports all day on Saturdays? Is this really helping the livelihood of my family later?

I mean, there’s a lot of philosophy in this, a lot more, and it’s about women and men, and it’s about how we think about each other. God gave us roles. By the pangs of childbirth, “you will be saved,” Eve was told for all women.

Isn’t that a strange statement? Go to your Bible and read it. Don’t take my word, just think about it. Wake up in the morning and do this, because this hour is important.

And so why do we have the things we have? St. Francis de Sales says, “we shall steer safely through every storm so long as our hearts are right, our intentions feverent, our courage steadfast, and our trust fixed on God.”

These are the ingredients to change our economic situation and the finances that surround you. It’s the heart. Why? Because if you’re right with God, He’ll make everything else right.

Does that mean people won’t be in poverty? There’ll always be that. Jesus himself told Judas that. You will always have the poor. But there’s the poor living within their means, and there’s the poor that’s living above their means.

There’s a middle class that’s living beneath their means, and those in the middle class living above their means.

There’s a rich class who’s living beneath their means, and those living above it. A poor person in poverty can be just as greedy, just as corrupt as somebody on the other end.

So, it’s the heart. And that’s what’s wrong with our nation, our economic woes, because economics, the dollar, when something changes with that or your money or your wealth of a nation, that’s all tied to some spiritual disease in the nation.

Because it’s a biblical principle, go back to your Bible, that if you do right with God, you walk the right way, He’ll take care of things. He feeds the sparrow. He clothes the flower. Better than Soloman.

We either believe that or we don’t believe that. I’ve always believed all I have to do is be right in front of God and He’ll do right. There takes some education with that, yeah, because there were 150 Medjugorje centers that started when I started this center. We all met in Boston.

We were able to do some things that hasn’t happened with the other Medjugorje centers. They’re doing their job. I mean, they did it with their heart. Some are tabletop, some are bigger than that.

We’ve turned international and we’re expanding in one of the worst economic times that has ever happened. And I say this because not to say we’re above anybody. I’m sure there’s a lot more holy people in the movement than we are, but that we’ve made the right philosophical approaches.

We know to bring the world to conversion takes a lot of things of the world. These temporal goods are to be turned toward God’s Kingdom.

Our Lady says, take all that you possess and give it over to Jesus as a king over a kingdom. This whole place is structured that way. And we’re growing, we’re expanding, we’re revamping a lot of things right now with the Retooling of the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages and this whole mission, both here and in Medjugorje.

That said, why is that happening? Why didn’t that happen to 150 other people doing this? Well, a lot of it’s just the financial philosophy and to put the spirit first in what St. Francis of Sale says here.

You know, how do we take nothing and turn it into something? And often an irritation, because when you get into the Medjugorje movement, there are thing’s that are irritating in the sense that you’re attacked, you have troubles, you have crosses, you have all these difficulties that hit you.

Henry Emerson Frederick said,

“Most of us can afford to take a lesson from the oyster. The most extraordinary thing about the oyster is this. Irritations get into his shell.

“He doesn’t like them. He tries to get rid of them, but when he cannot get rid of them, he settles down and makes of them one of the most beautiful things in the world.

“He uses the irritations to do the loveliest thing that an oyster has ever had a chance to do. If there are irritations in our lives today, there is only one prescription, make a pearl.

“It may have to be a pearl of patience, but anyhow, make a pearl. And it takes faith and love to do that.”

And this is Our Lady. She’s coming just to do this. She said, I want to make a mosaic of flowers for you for eternity. In other words, I want to make a pearl for you.

How do these pearls happen? Through irritations, through trials, through difficulties. You made this bed you’re in of financial situations.

Am I being accusatory? Yes, I am. Because if you’re in the situation you’re in, you made that. You made bad decisions. Maybe you didn’t have the upbringing and you didn’t have the philosophies. But you still have to take the responsibilities of those decisions.

And when you go buy a $100 knife or the wife goes buy a $100 pair of shoes when they can’t even afford it and they could have got something for $30, we go to the outlets here and buy brand new shirts. People wear them one time, they give them over there, $60 shirts, we buy them for $2.

I said, where there is a will, there is a way. You can do this. You can live differently. And you can live not just by your means, but well beneath your means. And you use those extra funds to get to the way of life Our Lady’s trying to get you to.

So, I’m saying this because you owe today this money, this bank, this car note, this ???, whatever those things are.

But this is your answer. It’s a philosophy. And when we understand that, we turn these things into a pearl, we become that.

We’ve talked about troubles and complexities drive us to prayer and those prayers drive away the troubles and complexities. This is the way it works.

↓ Share your thoughts – It helps bring people to conversion ↓

So, we’ve got troubles in our nation after decades of really flourishing and bringing the world to that. Our wealth has been transferred to China. They’re coming out of, there’s people riding three days on a train to go and make $20.

But to them, that’s a lot of money. People think it’s slave labor. It’s bringing them out of poverty. Many places around the world have trickled away from what we have and gone that way.

And so, what are you doing for your generations? What are you doing for the generations to come? Are you making it better for them? Are you making it worse for them?

And that’s what we need to understand, that this life that we’ve chosen is bankrupt and Our Lady wants through trial and the invitations, the words that come to us, to change that into something not only for you, but something for your children.

[COC I NARRATOR]

Something that he wrote for one of our school seasons. It’s called “The Way is Bridged.”

“He had grown old. For the last time he was passing a stream which many times had almost swallowed him. He would never come this way again.

“He began to build a bridge that he would never use.

‘Old man,’ cried a watching angel, ‘you are wasting your time, for your eyes will close eternally this very night. You will never pass this way again.’

“The old man looked up, tired and wearied. The evidence of a life of toil etched on his face and replied,

‘There comes behind me a fair-headed youth who will cross this perilous water.’

‘Old man,’ replied the angel, ‘he cannot repay you. You are wasting your time.’

“The old man said, ‘it is not for repayment that I do this work. Rather that they can go further than me down the path. That they too will build bridges over other perilous streams when they come to them.’

“With that, the angel vanished and the old man finished his work. More tired than ever, he struggled home. He wondered if he would make it.

“Finally reaching his door, he felt life leaving him. With all he had left, he opened the door. There, in front of him, with a light so brilliant he could hardly believe, a bridge, golden, beautifully constructed, leading to a dazzling light with the angel standing in the middle with tools in hand.”

‘Old man,’ said the angel, ‘I too have been busy for you. Come across, old bridge builder, for this bridge you have made, you will now cross and many will follow.’

“When he was found there in the doorway, there was upon his face such a sweetness that all knew he had gained heaven in his last sleep.”

[A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE]

Well, I believe strongly what I wrote in that years ago, that we’re not a generational people anymore. We live for immediacy to have things instantly. We don’t think about just even the taxes our government now is putting on. And this is a worldwide thing. It’s not just in this country, it’s all nations, that they’re passing on to the children.

Who’s going to pay for what we’re doing now? And so the system is a lie, the system is corrupt, and the system is arrogant, just as Our Lady just recently told us.

We have to realize and we have to think, really think our way out of this. And you can’t think without waking up in the morning, as we started this show, about what it is I’m doing to do this, what decisions I need to make.

Harold Walker says,

“You can think about your problems, or you can worry about them. And there’s a vast difference between the two. Worry is thinking that has turned toxic. It is a jarring music that goes around and around and never comes to either climax or conclusion.

“Thinking works its way through problems to conclusions and decisions. Worry leaves you in a state of tensely suspended animation. When you worry, you go over the same ground endlessly and come out the same place you started.

“Thinking makes progress from one place to another. Worry remains static. The problem of life is to change worry into thinking and anxiety into creative action.”

And that’s your way out of your situation. That’s your way out of your problems. We need to realize that we need to be bridge builders.

Our Lady with Her messages are giving us a new way. And it’s literally that way. You say, well, man’s been here for thousands of years. He’s done this before and of the previous generations.

No people have lived in a generational type environment that we have where everything is so fast, so complex, so difficult, and people be so stupid. And I say that with sincerity. People are not just ignorant. They’re stupid.

And they’re stupid with sin and immediate gratification. And that’s what leads to stupidity. And to break from that, break from this path we’re on and going over the same ground as we just read over and over and over, take some reflection, some quiet time.

That’s where you start your financial situation to change. That’s where we change our nation. That’s first where it’s got to start in the heart.

So, as we leave you today, again, we look forward to our show next Thursday with you. And of course, as always, be praying.

And remember our mission. We have a lot of things we’re starting in this, and we’ll be launching some beautiful, powerful, important projects. We wish you, Our Lady. We love you and God bless you.
