“Nothing is by chance”. I had not listened to this broadcast yet until after Church today. I hadn’t even pulled it up to see what the topic was until after I got home.
I had just left Church today with my family, only to learn that we weren’t going straight home, but to the store instead for some stuff. Well, long story-short, everything contained within the letter from all the justifications and arguments made in said letter, to FoM’s reaction and scandalized outrage was pretty much exactly how my argument with my folks played out today. My folks made all the excuses about doctors in emergencies, ohhh you gotta tend the chicken coup on a Sunday or else it gets messy and they get sick! Well, I don’t know anything about raising chickens, but I kept trying to remind them about the whole…don’t make others work for you on the Sabbath such as going to the store. It was like talking to a wall though. It is just so aggravating to see people…anywhere, regardless of who they are, who claim to be Christians, care so little about following God’s Commandments. It is one thing to mess up and make an honest mistake. Everyone messes up, but to openly violate the 3rd Commandment immediately after mass to get some groceries when said supplies could have been fetched literally any other day of the week and then make excuses and justifications for it. As annoyed as I am, I guess it just reminds me just how decayed the faith as become. Of course, vast majority of priests I’ve seen would never address such a thing with the congregation in any effort to get Christians to follow the Commandments to the letter, but that is another topic.

But if I remember correctly, the Miraculous Medal cannot be shifted overseas outside the USA. Is it not a grace that Heaven gave especially to the USA? If it can be shifted to Taiwan, I would love to purchase some Miraculous Medal Round.

Same here in the UK. I would like to, love to, buy at least 4 Miraculous Medal Silver Rounds for my family, to assist in evangelisation. I have bought a little bit of silver troy to leave them but it isn’t the same as consecrated silver.
Friend of Medjugorje I agree with your words about policeman and doctors having to work and responding to emergencies even relating to animals. This matches my understanding of healing on the Sabbath.
Yes in the words of Lord Jesus the Sabbath was given for man, not man for the Sabbath BUT it was given for man to keep holy NOT for us to do as we please on that day and certainly not to live like any other day. Jesus’s words that the Sabbath was given for man, can easily be reconciled to the Commandment: “Keep Holy the Sabbath Day.” THAT is the gift of the Sabbath to us. That is what God wanted to give us – the experience of keeping Holy the Sabbath Day and all the Blessings that follow when we observe this – when Jesus said the Sabbath was given for man, not man for the Sabbath. I have given this quite a bit of thought and it is very easy to reconcile Lord Jesus’s words with the 3rd Commandment.

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.
The broad road is bumper to bumper with lukewarm people. If most of the world is going the same direction as you are, then that is a very good indication that going the opposite way is the right move. We need to be narrow minded. Meaning heading towards the narrow gate. We will be living constricted. Meaning saying no to what the culture says yes to. We have to pray and ask Our Lady to help us do it. FOM is right in being angry, I’m angry too. There is too much compromise and God ends up in last place over and over and over again!

I 100% agree with you FOM regarding the sabbath and the 3rd commandment. It just makes sense that it is our fault and I think you or someone else said abortion will be gone only when we start to obey all the commandments, God will listen to us again only when we obey him as a whole. I don’t mean he doesn’t listen to individuals with graces attached by him, but as a nation he will only help when the majority are back honouring Our God as we should do. As I am from Australia I had a hassle recently regarding my retirement account (we have different names down here and call them Superannuation Funds) because they are obviously trying to slow down the physical ownership of silver. This company is backed by one of our State Governments and I had to reidentify my retirement account again (even though I had already purchased Gold and Silver many times previously). Further, this company had a bad story appear in the news suddenly that they weren’t selling 99.9999% silver and gold as advertised. The story was easily debunked but no doubt had an effect on some people down under buying Gods metals. Keep up the great work FOM, you are over the target when you get criticized. God Bless.
