Our Lady Gives Three Things When You’re Sick
[Podcast] (Updated 25 Minutes) – Praying for healing? A Friend of Medjugorje tells some major revelations of this very common issue – of people being sick or suffering and needing a healing. What does Our Lady say? How does Our Lady want us to respond?

We have Our Lady every day. We have the news coming to Marija just by the apparition when Our Lady doesn’t give us messages. The big message, the main message, is we’re sick. Very sick. We have a messed up world that is messed up beyond being healed. Only by divine intervention, resulted by prayer, will save us. Think about God destroying the world by saving it by a Flood. Suffering brings you to God. Our Lady said,

“…More than ever, today, it is necessary to pray for the family, that it may be spiritually healed…”
The first healing is not cancer, corona, or anything like that. It is a spiritual thing. First and foremost, Our Lady is here, is a spiritual healing. Everything else will follow that, because we know She’s with us. She said on July 2, 2019,
“…I have given you, and will still give you, evident signs of my motherly presence…”
That’s an incredible thing. She’s talking about something physical, “I’m telling you and showing you evident signs of my motherly presence.” For what?
She continues. She says,
“…My children, this is [my] motherly desire for the healing of souls…”
Not the body. Our Lady has pity with us. She feels bad for us. But the first priority is the healing of souls. In that same message, Our Lady says,
“…my Son…the light of faith…showed you the way [to] faith…”
And then She says,
“…faith elevates…”
By what? She says by,
“…mercy—a conversation…”
And listen to this,
“…a gift of alms…”
You can help somebody financially or do your labor for somebody. It elevates your faith. “…True faith…” She says.
There is no healing where there is no faith. We have more medical things and hospitals and doctors all over the place all over the world, and we have now, more sickness. Only the wisdom of Our Lady can come to us and say, “…a gift of alms…” elevates your faith. And if your faith is elevated, because healing is through faith.
We have a lot of people just praying and fasting to be healed, and Our Lady comes up and says, “…mercy—a conversation, a gift of alms…” elevates your faith. We can’t do anything without faith.
In the same message, She says,
“…I am calling you to give an example of true faith, to bring the light where there is darkness…”
We are in a crisis of faith, and therefore, the world is in crisis. And that’s why we have so much sickness. All these auto-immunes and diseases and problems people have, where does all this come from? Sin. I’m not saying you got that because you did a sin, but we’re in a fallen culture. Our Lady, when She came to Medjugorje, the repeated thing She said, “Faith is in crisis.” She never talked about anything else. It was repeated for two or three months. “I’m here because you lost your faith.” God can’t do anything if there’s no faith, not because He doesn’t have the strength. It’s what He requires to give the strength to us.
Our Lady said,

“…I pray to [my Son]…”
She says, “…Him…”
“…to heal your souls because He can do so…”
His interest is not your body first. It’s your soul. That is what Our Lady’s primary reason for coming here. She wants your soul cured. That was in the message I said a little while ago,
“…My children, this is [my] motherly desire for the healing of souls…”
Because we have a broad audience for Caritas, we hear about people constantly about they’re sick. Somebody’s dying. Somebody’s going to have to have an operation. All kinds of things that happen. People call us. They write in. They do feedback on our website, and a lot of those cases are very sad, and we pray for them. But on July 2, 2014, Our Lady said something very interesting. She says,
“…Only humility can heal you…”
Wow. If you’re not humble, you won’t be healed? Both spiritually and physically?
“…Only humility can heal you…”
Then She says,
“…My children, I always lived humbly, courageously and in hope…”
There’s three things She just gave us from Heaven, the Virgin Mary. We have to have humility and be courageous and hope. And if She says, “…I…lived humbly…” means that She can relate to us.
This message continues and says,
“…you are a part of me…”
It’s amazing, that. But before that, She said,
“…God is in us and we are in God…”
And then defining it, saying,
“…you are a part of me…”
But it’s not just your healing, because the calls come in often is to loved ones, and they’re worried to death. Our Lady said,

“…I am imploring the Holy Spirit to renew and strengthen you. I am imploring the Holy Spirit that, as you help others, you…may be healed…”
By you helping other people, praying for their sickness, doing other things for them, charity, whatever, Our Lady gives the condition, quote,
“…you too may be healed…”
Our Lady gives us the instructions through Her messages, how to live, how to be what we’re supposed to be, so that when we need something and we ask for it, we get an answer, if it’s God’s will. It may not be. Somewhere, sometime, somebody’s going to be sick in their life, let’s say about a 110 years ago, everybody is dead. You’re going to die. We need to live humbly. What God allows for us is for our good. But what happens when we get sick, the first thing we do, we go to the doctor. We get the medications. We get the operations. And that’s natural, but if you’re living a life of prayer, and God’s guiding you, what happens, you accept it. If you can’t accept your sickness, you can never be healed.
My sister works in a children’s hospital in the ICU. One story she told me is typical. A twelve-year-old had been riding on a four-wheeler, no helmet, crashed into a tree, and was in a coma. And they knew, after a few days, she was going to die. And they told my sister, when my sister was talking to them, the parents said, “Well, there’s nothing left to do but prayer.” What does God think about in that conversation? Why is prayer not the first thing? Our last resort is prayer. Our Lady is here to show us to be constantly in prayer. She’s told us to pray three hours a day. And everything comes to you in peace what happens.
But people live this way. “There’s nothing left to do but pray.” What does God hear? What does Jesus hear? What does Our Lady hear?
February 25, 2000
“…Wake up from the sleep of unbelief and sin, because this is a time of grace…God gives you. Use this time [to] seek the grace of healing of your heart, from God, so that you may see God and man with the heart…”
God wants us to have a heart. What is a paramedic looking for when somebody has a heart attack? They want the heart to be beating. They’re wanting the patient to respond. And this is what Our Lady’s doing with every message. She wants you to be responding to Her call, because we’re sick, very sick, and in darkness. And we have wrong mentalities about many, many things.
On November, 1991, Our Lady says,
“When you are sick, when you suffer from something, don’t say, ‘Oh, why has this happened to me and not to somebody else.’…”
Our Lady continues,
“…No, say instead: ‘Lord, I thank you for the gift you are giving me.’ For sufferings are really great gifts from God…”
Wow. That’s how God treats us? It’s for our good. He knows what we need.
This message continues,
“…They are sources of great graces for you and for others…”
That’s the principle of Jesus. He suffered, gave the source of grace for others, which helps you do the same.
Continuing, She says,
“…When you are sick, many of you only pray and repeat, ‘Heal me, heal me.’ No, dear children, this is not correct because your hearts are not open; you shut your hearts through your sickness…”
This is a profound statement and an insight of how we deal with our health. The problem is, what we’re doing is not abandoning ourselves to God, depending on the Father.
This message continues,
“…Pray this way…‘Thy will be done in me.’ Then only can God communicate His graces to you, according to your real needs that He knows better than you. It can be [a] healing, new strength, new joy, new peace – only open your hearts.”
That’s the key.
There’s something wrong with all the pharmaceutical companies. All the way back to Corinth, 2000 years ago, they were able to cure people with incredible things. When I visited there, where the hospital was, it was amazing what they were doing back then. Anesthesia, everything. It was shocking.
But today, it’s not dependent upon what God gave us through herbs and all these other things. We make artificial medicine, all of which has so many side effects. Then you have to get another medicine to take care of the side effect. It’s not guided by the light of God, so there’s a lot of consequences that’s negative. And Our Lady tells us what it is.
September 9, 1988, She says,
“…Prayer is medicine that heals.”
I’m not saying that, stating you don’t see a doctor. But we have to understand what is first. What are the words that accommodate what Our Lady said, “…Prayer is medicine that heals”? Our Lady tells us.
June 25, 1988
“…Surrender yourselves to God so that He may heal you…”
Our Lady gives us instructions about prayer and medicine that heals. She says,
“For the cure of the sick, it is important to say the following prayers: the Creed, and seven times each, The Lord’s Prayer, the Hail Mary, and the Glory Be, and to fast on bread and water…”
It’s really interesting and really beautiful when you go through all these messages about healing and medicine and about sufferings and what is the way to do it.
She adds another thing to do:
February 9, 1982
“Pray for the sick. Believe firmly…The most important thing, in the meantime, is a strong faith. Numerous sick [people] think that it is sufficient to come here in order to be quickly healed…”
“Here” is in Medjugorje. People go there just to get healed.
At Ivan’s apparitions, there would be thousands of people on the mountain, and they were all there, coming there to Medjugorje. They wanted to get healed. They wanted to get cured. And there’s something very interesting in Our Lady’s messages to Ivan, repeatedly, on the mountain. Typically, after the apparition, Ivan says what Our Lady did and what She said, and She was very happy. And almost every time with his apparitions, he would say, like this message on July 29, 1984,
“Our Lady prayed one ‘Our Father’ and one ‘Glory Be’ with us in a exceptional way for the sick.”
So, Our Lady’s on the mountain doing this. You can take any date of Ivan’s apparition on the mountain.
This is October 18, 2019. After the apparition, Ivan says,
“…Our Lady prayed especially over you who are sick present…”
Another one, in 2008. August 29th. After the apparition, Ivan says,
“…Our Lady then prayed specially [for] all [the] sick who were present…”
And I’ve listened to this over and over for decades, in Medjugorje, and almost nobody’s getting cured. The numbers are very low. So, why is Our Lady praying? Are Her prayers not working? Is She weak? Has She got no influence? Why is She praying for those who are present who are sick? Yes, we’ve covered about the soul, but there are many people there that’s sick, physically, seeking that. And She addresses that. “I am praying over all the sick here.”
We know the purpose of the three Secrets is to heal the world. So, if the soul’s going to be healed, will there be some kind of beautiful and incredible healing, physically, of all those through the years that have been prayed over, that God’s going to allow Her to also give physical healing?
That gave the commission in the Vatican problems because so many people go there to be healed, and there’s so few of them. It’s extremely rare. But if there’s massive healings, and they’ve been to Medjugorje, you know who’s going to be trumpeting Who did it.
So, there’s something to this that Ivan always says this: “Our Lady prayed for the sick.” And nothing happens. Think about that. Contemplate that. I saw this years ago. “Something’s going to happen.” People are looking to be healed. It’s understandable, at the same time, that suffering and the pain that you have, that you ask, “Heal me.” But Our Lady’s trying to change our mentality to put you on the foundation that if God wants that, He can give it to you. It’s we who ask with the right mentality.

So many sicknesses satan gets into to turn you against God. he makes use of everything he can. But Our Lady wants to minus him out of it, that that suffering brings redemption, help others, help yourself. Just meditate on the Wounds of Jesus and ask Jesus to heal your wounds. This is all we need. Yes, carrying a sickness is a great burden. But following Our Lady and what She says, you can lighten the burden.
For all of you who are suffering, we pray for you. We pray for your souls. We thank you for what you do in supporting this mission of breaking open the messages for you and for the world and for the future to the end of the world, that it be put into life. And they are truth.

So many great insights in this edition, as always. When we are sick we are called a “patient.” We need to pray and be (a) patient. Like our Lady said at that apparition to Ivan, to pray and be patient. The time that passes during the suffering not only builds our physical strength but of course spiritual muscle which we need at this time in history more than possibly ever.
And the saints tell us that we will praise God and thank him for our crosses.

I am so hesitant to say this because I must remind myself constantly of my sinful state, but today for the sake of all readers this has to be said. I am 75 and have a combination of many lifelong illnesses. Over the years I may or may not have seen or simply forgotten these messages from Our Lady, but I know with certainty that Our Lady guides me. In my life of prayer, especially now I know prayer is the medicine. So even if I have not recorded and saved the messages in the past, every one of Our Lady’s messages highlighted for us today is the way I deal with my daily frustration with strong faith and acceptance of illness, which I can offer up as sacrificial offerings for all my intentions. Just the other day, while n Prayer I wrote: ” O Holy Mother, You know the load I bear in the depths of my soul, so much which I can never share with anyone except to bear all in silence and pray. I know You journey this long and narrow road, protecting me and giving me strength. Thank You for Your unfailing presence in my life, help me to stay close to You especially when my troubles, pain, and discomfort pull me down.

Dear Veronica …. you have the best way to help the souls in purgatory. Offer up every pain, trouble, discomfort for the souls in purgatory every day. Your friends and relatives who are in purgatory need your assistance and by offering up all your sorrows and pain you can be of tremendous help to them to help them get out of purgatory and move on to Heaven. Thank you for this podcast. I prayed from the start of the pandemic that God would let me be the one to get the Coronavirus. I am in my late 40s, I do not have health issues but my husband really struggles with asthma. Low and behold, I got it in September 2021. It was quite an experience, (I’m not vaccinated) but I never lost faith. Afterall, GOD answered my prayer! I am the only one in my family that got the virus! Since then, I got the virus again in December – nothing happens by chance! Still going strong in Faith. Oh on another subject, I did get to ask our Bishop yesterday why the church is not speaking on our Blessed Mothers apparitions. He said it is not a focal point. He stressed what the focal points are but her apparitions/messages are not a focal point. I asked why the church is not speaking about the times we live in (the power that Satan has right now) and he agreed things are bad but that ended our conversation. I feel like I’m supposed to be doing something more, please pray for me and my family. God Bless You All!!

Last night I finished watching the movie “Esther” from the Old Testament. She instituted the Feast of Purim. This year that Jewish feast starts the eve of March 16 and ends the next eve on March 17. Our Lady’s so Cool, She tells us we need to be, “Spiritually Healed,” reminds us how important Faith is, and during this Special Time of Grace gives us, “evident signs,” of Her presence, to nurture us into Children, with the Necessary Faith we’ll need to get through anything. Before we reach Heaven we’ll all be Refined, one way or another. Some suffer more in this life, but when it’s offered up properly to Our Lord and Lady, it becomes the gift Our Lady tells us it is, bringing unseen Mercy, Glory and Grace because we know God is more than Merciful and Forgiving. As FOM states, there are a number of ways to heal our souls, we should practice them all, and always remember true healing, goes beyond the physical and is only through faith. I reckon Lourdes is for physical healing whereas Medjugorje is for spiritual healing. I was in Lourdes at Christmas as I brought with me a woman with severe mental health difficulties and asked the Lord God at the grotto to heal her of same. She had had a bad toothache several days before the trip and as a result could not eat. I saw her back tooth loose and sympathised with the pain she must have been in.
So she was on a day 2 of fasting by the time she had arrived at the grotto.
The water supply in Lourdes is closed off so I knelt down on the ground at the grotto and collected the water dripping from the ceiling of the cave and blessed her forehead with it.
The next day she felt her tooth was being pushed back into her gum and realised she had received a healing. she noted that it was exactly 24 hours since I had blessed her forehead with the holy water.
I asked the Lord God why, when the woman had mental health problems he should heal her of a toothache.
I subsequently realised that this personal touch to her tooth was the beginning of a healing to her mental health by a personal touch from the Lord, particularly as her mental health issues arise from a personal childhood trauma.
I also realised that she will probably experience the spiritual healing she requires in Medjugorie. After all you don’t bring a person with mental problems to a fracture clinic. It seems the very same in the spiritual life. Different places for specific types of healings required.

I say many times every day “Thy Holy perfect will be done” or sometimes Thy will be done” I have been saying it for many years. I wondered why I have been doing better than a lot of people I talk to. Now I understand. I have lots of problems and suffering; don’t get me wrong. But I trust in God! I tell Him that. I am not any better than the next one. I’m a poor sinner and I know it!
