Medjugorje and Hard Hearts

Medjugorje and Hard Hearts

O Shepherds of the Church–if today you hear His Voice, through His Mother, harden not your hearts. This epistle was written by A Friend of Medjugorje and posted on Medjugorje.com on April 2, 2007.

Arunner sets aside time for preparation to achieve victory. His triumph is to win. Our Lady has come for the same reasons. We now have a special period of time to prepare for a victory, a triumph over darkness which is convulsing in every way to triumph over light and destroy the whole world, right down into the nucleus of the family. Our time was up when Our Lady first appeared at 6:40 p.m. on June 24, 1981. But at that precise moment, an abundance of mercy began to be poured out upon the earth through Our Lady blessing all the world at each daily apparition. How many hearts responded and later grew hard to this daily mercy? How many went to Medjugorje and then grew tired? How many actually went to Medjugorje and now no longer even believe in the messages? The heart of man has grown hard, just as the Israelites did in the desert while wandering for 40 years.

Twenty-six years of apparitions* have made some former “Medjugorje-ites” just as the Israelites, grow hard-hearted. Our Lady’s plans are for all hearts: Jews, Christians, Muslims, non-believers – all to resurrect in the light of Christ. She is planning to triumph in this momentous glorious cause. Her want is to transform all of mankind, a real transformation of the world. And we know Mama got what She wanted at the wedding feast of Cana, and She’s not going to get tired or stop until She gets what She wants now. The real question is who will still be standing with Her? Who will not transform in the “special time of prayer” will be transformed in the time to come, the time of purification of the earth. Our Lady’s plans are to bring about a holy purified earth, cleansed and washed by severe storms. These plans will come to pass because Our Lady said on October 10, 1981:

“…I have made promises to you…”

The three secrets are promises that Our Lady said will not be avoided, at most they can only be mitigated by prayer.

Our Lady of Medjugorje said on April 2, 2007:

“Dear children, do not be of a hard heart towards the mercy of God, which has been pouring out upon you for so much of your time. In this special time of prayer, permit me to transform your hearts that you may help me to have my Son resurrect in all hearts, and that my heart may triumph. Thank you.”

Our Lady added:

“Your shepherds need your prayers.”

Our Lady blessed all those present and all religious articles, emphasizing that Hers is a motherly blessing and that the greatest blessing is that of a priest.

We receive several calls per day of requests for prayers. One call may be for a son killed in a car accident, another for a wife with cancer, another for surgery or a lost job. We gladly comply with these requests because prayer is our life.

Prayer requests are always crisis-oriented, a problem of such magnitude that the situation is beyond human help. One thing for sure, when the request comes in, it is a serious crisis. Today’s request from Our Lady, that “your shepherds need your prayers,” says what many in the Church know. We have a crisis amongst our shepherds. There is much unbelief amongst our shepherds. It is interesting that Our Lady has told us several times during the second of the month apparitions for non-believers to pray for our shepherds. The flock is starving, and it is Our Lady who is coming to feed us. A recent proclamation from the Shepherd’s conference started off with “we the successors of the Apostles.” Why must we read “that” if we all believe “that”? Insecurity in one’s own self, breeds such reminders, (“we the successors of the Apostles”) which gives evidence of not doing what one is suppose to be doing. We don’t need more Judas talk about “but what about the poor” when man is so impoverished in sin that hell is prevailing in society. Mankind is very, very spiritually poor today. Our Lady said due to this state, most people go to Purgatory, the second most go directly to hell, and few go directly to Heaven. Is this a shepherd problem or a flock problem? It is why Medjugorje is a lay-led movement, and perhaps why God has not let it be approved yet. However still, we cannot, as faithful Church members, challenge obedience to good or not so good shepherds.

But obedience does not stop us from realizing the reality of our situation, that the flock is starving while the shepherds are well-fed, yet do not understand or believe who and what power they possess. Our Lady has said that the greatest blessing is that of a priest and has repeated it several times in the last several months. Mirjana said Our Lady “emphasized that the greatest blessing is that of a priest,” once again in the apparition of April 2, 2007.

Our Lady has recently said at the end of Mass, when a priest blesses, it is Her Son Jesus blessing you. Yes, many have knowledge of this, but how many know what that means? So Our Lady calls in a request today for a crisis prayer, “Your shepherds need your prayers.” We should take the request seriously and at the same time realize our own calling is to resurrect the Church and usher in a springtime. It will be done by the faithful, led by Our Lady.
