It was a beautiful, clear night in Medjugorje, as pilgrims from all over the world slowly gathered on top of Apparition Hill to join Ivan’s prayer group in singing and prayer in preparation for Our Lady’s apparition to Ivan. The singing began at about 8:45 p.m. At about 9:30 p.m., Ivan announced that we would be praying the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. At the end of the Rosary, all grew quiet as Our Lady appeared to Ivan, around 10:00 p.m. The apparition lasted several minutes. The following is Ivan’s description of tonight’s apparition:
“Also today, after the meeting together with Our Lady, I would like to bring closer to you and to describe tonight’s meeting to you. Also tonight Our Lady came to us joyful and happy and She greeted all of us, at the beginning, with Her motherly greeting, ‘Praised be Jesus my dear children.’ Then, for a longer while, she prayed over all of us here with Her arms extended, and then She prayed especially over the sick who are present here. Then Our Lady prayed especially for the priests and vocations in the Church. Then Our Lady blessed all of us with Her motherly blessing, and She also blessed everything you brought to be blessed. Then I recommended all of you, all of your needs, your intentions, your families and, in a special way, the sick. After that Our Lady continued to pray for awhile over all of us here and she left in that prayer, in an illuminated Sign of the Cross, with a greeting, ‘Go in peace my dear children.’ I would like to emphasize especially that Our Lady today especially prayed for priests and vocations in the Church.”

Tonight Our Lady prayed especially for priests and vocations. A Friend of Medjugorje tells us that good vocations come from good families. In a very real way tonight, Our Lady, the Mother, by Her praying for priests and vocations, is in reality praying for good families to spring up, to be renewed and to be the Church of the future. Our Lady’s children today, are the Church tomorrow.

Mother Mary, I join with the millions of friends in thanking you for blessings us with your appearance for so many years. Hear our pleading to watch over our country, to give us a leader who will bring God back to us & resume the country our forefathers fought so hard to make us free & under the hand of God. Amen
Praised be Jesus and Mary forever! Thank God for the gift of family and I pray that my own family would live a life of holiness and prayer. Holy Family, pray for us! Amen.

My Dear Mother I also ask of you to please give my country, a leader who will bring your Divine Son back to us. WE NEED a president who will bring back God in the USA. Mother Mary we love you, we need you, never leave us. Thank you for your prayers to our Beloved Lord.
Let us thank our Blessed Lord for the beautiful Mother of God the mediatrix of all graces. Her holy hands raised to intercede for us poor sinners on our behalf, o what a gift.
