How does Pope Francis’ proclamation connect to Medjugorje?

We are hearing from people all over the world participating in the 9-day bread and water fast with the Community of Caritas, coming up September 26 through October 4. Part of the 9-day fast is for a particular intention for the United States and personal intentions. The Community of Caritas, for over two decades has offered several 9-day bread and water fasts per year. The annual fall fast we invite everyone to join us. It is a beautiful grace that there are so many who have made the decision to offer this annual fast in union with the Caritas Community, an invitation that has been taking place for the past 13 years.

There are people participating all across the USA, from the Hawaiian Islands to across the east coast, to Europe, down to Kenya, Africa. Also joining in the 9-day fast is a 61-year-old woman from Sri Lanka and her 84-year-old mother. With the Caritas Community children who will be fasting as well, the ages of those fasting will span from 6 years old, to right now 84 years old. So everyone from young to old can be offering this 9-day fast, which is so much needed in this time of battle against satan.
Through the years, we have witnessed Eucharistic adoration being renewed across the world solely through Medjugorje. We have witnessed empty seminaries and convents being filled because Medjugorje. We have witnessed confession being solely renewed in the entire Church by Our Lady’s calls through Medjugorje. The youth movements across the world and in the Church have been inspired either directly or indirectly through Our Lady of Medjugorje. Our Lady’s constant calls for 30 plus years, for Wednesday and Friday fasts are inspiring many actions, the latest being Pope Francis’ proclamation for a day of prayer and fasting for peace on September 7. Specifically the Pope refers to Our Lady in his proclamation as the Queen of Peace. Our Lady has been building up over 32 years the Wednesday and Friday fasts to lead to a worldwide momentum of prayer and penance for Her intentions of peace. She has repeatedly called us to pray for peace throughout the past summer during Ivan’s prayer groups. The Pope’s latest proclamation is just another initiative of Heaven, inspired through the spirit and plans of Our Lady of Medjugorje. All those in union with Pope Francis’ proclamation should be ready to move into the Wednesday and Friday fasts as Our Lady calls us. Our Lady in Medjugorje said on July 21, 1982:

When we need God, we experiences Him most of the time. Pray for all to receive the Holy messages as it is to prepare the world the way God want us.
