A Friend of Medjugorje is in Guam this week, with two Caritas community members, one being his 16-year-old son. They arrived on Tuesday, May 18.
Guam is a thirty mile long strip of land in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, with a very large Catholic population that is deeply devoted to Our Lady. Also on Guam is a large U.S. military base. Though Guam is small and isolated, they have not escaped the devastation of the world’s current culture and are in need of Our Lady’s messages along with the rest of the world. Medjugorje visionary, Ivan, has come to Guam on a couple different occasions, to speak of his experiences and the messages of Our Lady, bringing with him the presence of Our Lady in the apparitions to bless this homeland of about 150,000 people. Though Medjugorje is known by some on the island, there are still many people there who don’t know anything about Our Lady’s apparitions there, or know very little. However, there are strong Medjugorje devotees who keep the light of Our Lady’s messages alive in Guam. It is always a moving experience to go to different areas and see devotion to Medjugorje deeply rooted among some of the people. It brings to reality that the seeds of Medjugorje have been literally planted over the whole earth, and those seeds have grown into plants that are bearing good fruit in individual lives, families and communities no matter what language the people may speak.
A Friend of Medjugorje has a full speaking schedule this week. From May 19-23, he has a different church every night in which he will be sharing Our Lady’s messages with two Catholic High Schools during the week, along with smaller groups sprinkled throughout his time there.
A week before leaving for Guam, A Friend of Medjugorje came down with a bad cold that developed into laryngitis, and there was very little improvement before the time came for him to leave. However, Our Lady has allowed him his voice back to speak of Her messages. Please join us in prayer for the people of Guam, that Our Lady will use this opportunity to reach hearts, leading them to greater conversion and devotion. To listen to the talk given by A Friend of Medjugorje at Santa Barbara Catholic School titled, Medjugorje: The Youth Are Important, please visit this page.
