How do we pray with our poor love?
April 15, 2016 A.D.
As we are getting near the final days of petition for the 54-day Rosary Novena being prayed by thousands across the world in union with a Friend of Medjugorje and the Community of Caritas it would be good to remember the words of Our Lady from March 25, 2016:
“…You, little children, are poor in love and you still have not comprehended that my Son Jesus, out of love, gave His life to save you and to give you eternal life…”
How do we pray with our poor love?
Our Lady, in truth has reminded us that our love is poor. Therefore, what most often ask in their prayers, and what we are now asking in our 54-day Novena, is beyond what God in justice should grant us. It is the reason why we offer this Novena to Our Lady, precisely because we are asking for what we do not deserve. A Friend of Medjugorje, in speaking to a pilgrim group at Caritas said:
“Our prayers before God are like the chirping of crickets, their sound filled with many things not pleasing to Him, self-interest, etc. Yet, when we offer our prayers through Our Lady, She turns our prayers into a symphony that is a beautiful song to God’s ears.”
As we near the end of the days of petition in our 54-day Rosary Novena, we need to go deeper into our love for Our Lady, deeper into offering these petitions through Our Lady’s hands, Who will perfect them and make them pleasing to God.

I love the symphony analogy about our prayers being a beautiful song to God’s ears through Our Lady. God bless us all, through Our Lady, Our Advocate before the Throne of God and Mediatrix of All Grace. Many blessings to you, Caritas and A Friend of Medjugorje!
