Medjugorje visionary, Marija, displays joy on her face after seeing Our Lady on Her birthday. She shares here what Our Lady did in the apparition today, August 5, 2009. While at Caritas in Alabama for a wedding of one of the Caritas Community couples this past February, Marija commented that it is strange to watch herself get older every year, but Our Lady never gets older, Her face is always youthful, the only difference is that She grows more beautiful everyday.
Today, August 5, 2009, would have been a beautiful day regardless of the weather simply because it was Our Lady’s birthday, however, as Our Lady is always a giver of gifts even though it is Her birthday She arranged to have the weather cool off. Yesterday brought storms, rain showers and unseasonably cool weather that carried on throughout today. It felt like a typical breezy spring or fall day, and the rain had brought refreshment to this very arid time of the year for Medjugorje.
The apparition of Marija took place just outside of Medjugorje, in an Italian community. As the Joyful mysteries of the Rosary began, an Italian priest prayed the first decade, followed by Marija who prayed the second decade in her mother tongue, Croatian. The next decade was prayed by another Italian priest, and again Marija took the 4th decade. But before the 5th decade would begin, Our Lady surprised everyone when She interrupted the decade Marija was praying and appeared ten minutes early, at 6:30 p.m., instead of Her regular time of 6:40 p.m., for five minutes. Our Lady gave no explanation, but it was thought that because the pilgrims had to travel a short distance to return back to the Church, perhaps She appeared early to give time for everyone to be back in time for Holy Mass.
Our Lady’s apparition today, August 5, 2009, on Her 2025th birthday. The apparition of Marija took place just outside of Medjugorje, in an Italian community. Marija can be seen kneeling before Our Lady’s statue surrounded by several priests who were present for the apparition.
Marija said that when Our Lady arrived, she greeted Her by saying “Happy Birthday” and Our Lady smiled. Our Lady prayed over everyone and blessed them.

Thank you community of Caritas ! I left a very high paying job at a major automobile manufacturer back in 2013. Indeed, it was God calling and behold, I was able to cash in both my 401 K and Pension. Let me place this in a more proper context. I had been at Caritas over 15 times during the past 5 years. Each time I was able to experience a touching response to the reality to how life is to be lived. On December 11, 2011, in the field of apparitions, in celebration of Christmas in the field rosary, I experienced a physical miracle of the restoring of my vision that was dependent upon reading glasses. That afternoon, I ascended to the grotto, and “A Words From Heaven” Book was in the grotto. I randomly picked a message dated April 25, 2001 and the words that pierced my heart were “Little Children, prayer works miracles”. The reading from Joan was a stamp version of my life and the pursuit of a “New way of Life”. Visit Caritas and support the community, they are a miracle. God Bless

It’s been three years of clearing, digging, demolition, burning, major surgery, framing,electrical, plumbing, concrete, tractor work, well repair, unending rains and 80 mile an hour winds, forced retirement and lay offs and I love every minute of it because I and Ellen know that God is leading us on this path of graces. Tomorrow up again 4:30 am eighty miles trek to do it again until we get the homestead finished ready to move. pray for us… love you all…
