Our Lady of Medjugorje revealed in 1984, that She was celebrating Her 2000th birthday. Our Lady asked us to honor this day, by fasting three days in advance, going to confession and preparing in prayer. One can reason out, that the birthday of She, Who was full of grace, will result in filling with grace, those who prepare in prayer. A number of people have also called and asked about coming to Caritas for August 4 and 5th. There are directions which follow below. Following, are several spiritual ways that a Friend of Medjugorje has recommended that we prepare for Our Lady’s birthday.
The Marian Mysteries
The Community of Caritas will be praying the Marian Mysteries of the Rosary, in the Field of Apparitions on the evening of August 4, 2019, a day that a Friend of Medjugorje has named, Mary’s Eve. The Sinless Day
An important book to read is, August 5, What Are You Doing for Her Birthday?, in which A Friend of Medjugorje writes about a special gift you can offer to Our Lady for Her birthday – a Sinless Day. A Friend of Medjugorje first offered this many years ago, and the Community of Caritas joined in union with him, in 1999. We have continued to offer this gift to Our Lady every August 5. The First Public Celebration of Our Lady’s Birthday
