Our Lady said through Mirjana, yesterday, October 2, 2019:
“…the purpose of life is not always to want and take, but to love and give…”
This is our charge for these days, to see what can we give with love. We have an opportunity right around the corner.
Medjugorje October 2, 2019 – Medjugorje visionary Mirjana receives Our Lady. Our Lady wants us to take Her words with the simplicity of a child, like the child seen in the lower right of the picture. How we would please Our Lady to simply accept Her words with love!
Our Lady is asking us not to take, but to give; not to want, but to love. This is how a Friend of Medjugorje has responded to Our Lady through the years, and inspired others to do the same. We have a great opportunity to do this through the upcoming 9-day bread and water fast, which a Friend of Medjugorje is encouraging everyone to take part in. Many have continued to join and are excited to offer this for Our Lady:

I wanted to share a word of encouragement to others to participate in the upcoming fast. We never know the grace it will have at the time. Some years back our family did the fast for a specific day. The months past, and our daughter, Johanna, went to the funeral of a classmate from Christendom college. It was a long drive to Milwaukee, and on the way home, she fell asleep and hit the divider of an overpass on the highway, totalling the car. She walked away from there a bit shook up, but otherwise just fine. The date stuck in my mind for some reason. Went to check any notes on the calendar. It was the day we had prayed and fasted for! God is good— all the time! Great blessings come from obedience. We can all do it. Nine days will quickly pass! Just focus on Jesus!
