Our Lady’s call takes us beyond our comfort zone. A Friend of Medjugorje has pointed out many times that when Our Lady appears to the visionaries of Medjugorje, that She appears with a grey dress. Grey is the color of a servant, one who has come to do work. Our Lady has come to do work in our hearts.
A pilgrim praying in Medjugorje. Medjugorje is often called the school of prayer where one comes to experience and learn the true meaning of prayer. But, prayer does not end in Medjugorje; we need to take it home.
Our Lady told us a few days ago:

Firstly, do good in your own heart by praying and converting. Medjugorje visionary Ivan tells us:
“…I remember always one pilgrim who came to Medjugorje. This pilgrim had heard that Our Lady had requested three hours of prayer everyday. This person was not able to understand how is it that Our Lady was asking for three hours. She said, ‘Now it cannot be Our Lady, She could not ask for three hours.’ And I said, ‘It was Her desire. This is what She recommends.’ Then I explained… but it was not clear to her. So, a year later, the same pilgrim comes back to Medjugorje. She greeted me with the same words, with the same question. ‘Is it still three hours of prayer a day?’ I said, ‘No, no it’s not three hours anymore. It’s 24 hours a day!’ And do you know what she said? ‘O.K. then I’ll stay with those three hours.’ See how selfish we are in prayer? Our Lady is not so demanding. She asks from us as much as we can and live. Our Lady said, ‘Dear children, if you would like to attend the school of prayer, you will have to know that in this school there are no weekends, no days off. You have to attend the school of prayer everyday. And, dear children, if you would like to pray better, you have to pray more.’” 1
When we begin to pray more, we will pray better. Life is short, too short to take weekends off. Once we pray better we become enlightened to what needs to change in order to live God’s Commandments and leave our sinful habits that cause Our Lady’s heart to bleed.
