Today we are releasing an improved Medjugorje Message Search Function and an expanded bank of official foreign language messages. The Medjugorje Message Search is now faster and more powerful than any Medjugorje Message Search Module in the Medjugorje world. With the new Message Search you can still search messages as you did previously. But now, you will also have the ability to:

 

1. Search by key word, phrase or date.

 

2. Print the messages on decorative, keepsake stationary designed by the Community of Caritas, spreading them “with your heart.”

 

3. Send a message to a loved one on decorative, keepsake stationary. In addition, the new Message Search features many more messages in official translations you can print or send to others as well.

A Friend of Medjugorje understood early in his experience with the apparitions that the exalted height at which the visionaries receive the words of Our Lady, and what they experience when they look at Her and hear Her speak, simply cannot be conveyed in the same depth with just ink on paper. One way to help elevate our hearts and minds to receive more deeply Our Lady’s words is to print those words on a beautiful, custom, keepsake stationary designed by the Community of Caritas, thereby changing the experience of the one who reads the message. Our Lady has often said that Her presence in the world today is a gift from God. If we can “wrap” Our Lady’s words as in a gift, then a heart may receive those same words as a gift even if they are not yet inclined to believe in Our Lady. The framed message templates are also for you who do believe, to encourage you to place the messages in a visible place to help you put them into life.

 

The ability to print the messages on the keepsake backgrounds is an exclusive feature, designed and built in-house, that is available only on Medjugorje.com. Choose from several beautiful, original templates on which you can easily print any message of your choice. Design and print your own message card and tape it to your refrigerator or bring it to work. Commemorate an extraordinary moment in your life with a message that has special meaning to you or your loved ones – birthdays, anniversaries, Confirmations, First Communions, Weddings, etc. Maybe you have picked a message at random that touched you, and you can print it for your own keepsake.

 

Have a loved one who is far away, but in need of Our Lady’s words immediately? You can use this same background feature to send a message to whoever needs the love of Our Lady right now.

 

This has been a feature that a Friend of Medjugorje has wanted to make available for many years, actually since Medjugorje.com was first launched in 2006. However, we discovered that there are no prototypes like this in the world of the internet. We have developed this “in-house” on our own. It is much more complicated than it appears. So, though we release this today, we will continue to develop this feature to make it much more versatile to the user in the future.

Expanded Official Translations of the Messages

On February 25, 1995, Our Lady invited us to: “live with love the messages that I give and to transmit them to the whole world…” Up to this point, at times it has been a challenge sharing the words of Our Lady with those outside of the English-speaking world. Our new message search will now allow you to search for and read the messages in several different languages! Our Lady said on June 26, 1981, “I wish to be with you to convert and to reconcile the whole world.”

 

In guiding the development of the new Message Search, a Friend of Medjugorje made a specific decision to separate Our Lady’s messages from the general site translation released yesterday. A Friend of Medjugorje decided for this because he is very careful about preserving the accuracy of Our Lady’s words. He will not allow a casual translation of Our Lady’s words to be published on Medjugorje.com, to be distributed through our Caritas Mission House in Medjugorje, or printed in our materials here, at Caritas in Alabama. The message translation must be as close as possible to the way Our Lady said it.

 

He is very careful in working with translators to protect and preserve what Our Lady actually says, which could otherwise be easily distorted through a computerized language translation or a casual translation by an individual who, though they might speak the language, does not possess the in-depth experience in multiple languages and the spirit of prayerful understanding of Our Lady’s messages.

 

Therefore, we have sourced all the foreign language messages now offered on the Medjugorje.com from the official message translations in Medjugorje, as well as some other trusted sources for those languages that are not “officially” translated in Medjugorje. This means there are a smaller selection of foreign messages available, but the translations we do have are the purest that we have been able to obtain. In English, however, the Message Search is complete, going back to 1981.

 

We know many of you already know how to use the “old” Message Search, but we very strongly recommend you continue reading and visit the step by step walk-through immediately following, which shows how to use the new Message Search and also highlights its new features.
