This past Friday, October 21, 2016, Our Lady appeared to Ivan at the Blue Cross on Apparition Mountain. At the urging of a Friend of Medjugorje, people from all across the world were praying the Patriotic Rosary in union with the Rosary being prayed in Medjugorje during the prayer group. Our Lady said during the apparition to Ivan on October 21, 2016:
 

“Dear children, also today I desire to call you to perseverance in prayer. Pray dear children for peace—for peace. May peace come to reign in people’s hearts, because from a peaceful heart, a peaceful world is born. Thank you, dear children, for also today having responded to my call.”

As we were working on the following encounter with a Friend of Medjugorje, we were shocked when we read Our Lady’s words of October 21, 2016, after hearing what a Friend of Medjugorje, spoke 1 week before. It is evident how closely Our Lady is walking with us at every step in these days. What follows is the historic address given by a Friend of Medjugorje at Independence Hall, Saturday, October 15, 2016, telling of the state of our nation and world, and how to take it back from those who wish to impose evil.

TRANSCRIPT BEGINS:

(Before a Friend of Medjugorje speaks, the last toll of the bell near Independence Hall is heard.)

Friend of Medjugorje: Our Lady is in the wind.¹  So, we would thank you for coming here today. [It is] not for ourselves that we do this, but that we are called from Heaven to do something that’s beyond our capabilities. When you first come to know what Our Lady’s asking for in regards to your role, you can’t understand that without prayer, and you can never imagine where that will lead to. Mirjana²  just said that everybody has a task in Our Lady’s plans. Our nation begins at home because your world is at your supper table and if you can’t cure that, you never will cure the nation.

When Our Lady came through Marija³  at our place in Alabama in 1988, it began to manifest. We were praying for our nation, that was our heart’s desire. And She went an opposite direction of which we thought we should be going, because everybody wants to change things from the top. Our Lady said peace will not come through the presidents.⁴ If we have a top-centered direction in our mentality, we will never cure anything, because we empower them to be over us and that’s not what our forefathers dreamed. Its not what they called for. But that the people will be the people that would guide things. They are surrogates to us. Jesus said unless you serve others, you won’t understand and go to the Kingdom of God, basically. And so the service of our government is at our disposal and we lost that. We’ve lost liberty. And you lose liberty when you don’t live the Commandments. Our solutions aren’t in the President, nor the Senate or the House of the Supreme Court justices, it’s in our heart. Because our world changes when your home world changes. That’s your world – the comings and goings. Until we get that understood, until we see that, nothing is going to change. What does Our Lady mean, peace will not come through the presidents? You can’t have a people in un-peace, even if you have George Washington come alive today and be president. What’s he going to rule over? What is he going to guide us to? We will not have this until we change our hearts.

I know many of you here have been seasoned toward that. You’ve been following what we do and what Our Lady’s shown us for a long, long time. And we never could dream where we would be. Our Lady said, “I will intercede,” on August 25, 1994, Our Lady said, “I [will] pray and intercede before my Son, Jesus, so that the dream that your fathers had may be fulfilled.” This Woman got what She wanted at the Wedding Feast of Cana. And even Jesus said, “My time has not yet come.” What She wants, She gets. The thing is, are you giving to Her what She desires of you? Once we understand these principles, then we know how to attack that which attacks us and our way of life. If we don’t have holiness in our home, if we’re not living by the way the Commandments teaches us and when we fail, confess immediately, nothing is going to change. And there comes a point in time where you go so far in civilization, that it can’t be changed on its own power, and even in prayer. Mirjana, when she got the seventh Secret, it was so horrible, that She asked Our Lady, ‘Can we avoid that?’ And She [Our Lady] just said one word, “Pray.” Mirjana went for the next eight months rallying all her friends, priests, convents, everybody to pray for the seventh Secret. After eight months, Mirjana went to Our Lady and said, ‘What about the seventh Secret?’ And She said, ‘It will be softened, but do not ever ask for this again, because God’s Will is to be done.’ This means we’re on a mandate. We’re in for a correction of our conscience, because we’re not able to do it on our own – from the top of the Church to the bottom; from the top of the government to the bottom. It’s the people, ‘we’ the people. Our Lady said, ‘I come from the people.’ ⁵

So She’s got a special task and a special commission to you to understand who you are. Years ago we were coming to Philadelphia, some of the churches were closing down. We were getting some of the Stations of the Cross you see at the Tabernacle⁶  back in Alabama, statues and things like that. And I would come here and pray behind Independence Hall; just say the Rosary, be [it] in the daytime, I didn’t care. I wasn’t concerned with people walking around. I was here because I wanted to pray and do what Our Lady asked to do. And so as that happened, and everyday I would come here at apparition time⁷ by myself, I began to understand certain things that I had never understood before. But prayer opens the doors to things in your heart that you don’t know until the Holy Spirit gives it to you. And one day I was praying in Independence Hall, right in the back where the statue is in the back, and I had read just before that about Benjamin Franklin. He actually was…They had already fought Britain. We were in eleven or so years, the Constitution wasn’t coming together. And we had many times where [we were in] the struggle with Great Britain, they went to prayer. They knew they couldn’t do it without the Almighty. But they had the Declaration of Independence, the colonies had their constitution and we couldn’t ratify a new constitution. They couldn’t agree for anything. So the Constitutional Convention that they were having, they had been meeting for five weeks and no progress. Benjamin Franklin had been watching silently for that five weeks, observing what was taking place. And they couldn’t create the Union. They realized the colonies in this thing was a stalemate, it was deadlocked. There was nothing [that] could happen. They didn’t have any more things. Benjamin Franklin said, ‘We have as many ‘no’s’ as we have ‘yay’s.’ There was no progress. So they’re at a point where the United States was going to fall apart. He said, ‘We can’t find truth because we’re reaching out into the darkness.’ And he realized and stopped the meeting and told everybody, ‘We have not thought of applying to the Heavenly Father to illuminate our understanding as we did in the beginning of the contest with Great Britain.’

See, the United States was born. Everything was happening. But they were deadlocked because they quit praying. And that’s the way the world is today. We quit praying. And we’re getting defeated left and right on every level and persecution is increasing, the death of our nation is imminent, we see this. Everybody has anxiety about this. The whole election thing, everything taking place is questionable. But that was the way it was then after they defeated Great Britain. They got comfortable, everything would work out. And it wasn’t. He said, Benjamin Franklin, ‘Have we forgotten the powerful friend? Do we imagine we no longer need powerful assistance?’ He said, ‘I lived a long time and I see convincing proofs of Truth, that God governs in the affairs of men.’ And then he said this, ‘If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aide?’

Is it possible for us to turn our situation around today unless this nation comes to its knees? And what brings it to its knees, is what Great Britain in the struggle when that was going on, brought them to their knees and they were successful at it. So this seventh Secret is just softened, its not mitigated. There are other Secrets that are not going to be mitigated at all. Our Lady said don’t ever ask again for this, because what is, is is. We’re not going to change these things. All we can do is be ready. And that’s Her quote, “…Be ready, my [dear] children…”⁸ Be ready my little children. Benjamin Franklin went on and said, ‘Shall we become a reproach and a byword down to the future ages?’ Ancient Israel was so devastated after their sins, that everybody that looked upon them [saw], that their God had turned against them. And we’re in the same present situation. And Our Lady’s here to reverse that. And the only way to reverse that starts in your home. So when Our Lady chose the Bedroom⁹  to appear in our home, we were shocked at this because we were praying for our nation. We weren’t praying for that. Then November 24, 1988, She said [on November 23rd] ‘Tomorrow I will appear outside by the Tree and the public can come.’¹⁰ The only time out of three months, She appeared there. That apparition was the one day that the United States of America celebrates, singularly, a day in thanksgiving to the Almighty. Yes, we do Christmas, but so does the rest of the world. Yes, we do Easter, but so does the rest of the world. Thanksgiving is solely ours. There’s other nations that do “Thanksgiving,” but its not universal. Our day is different. And so Our Lady chose that one day to go out there to show us that we have to be a grateful people. We take the blessings we have for granted. And still, [as] in dire straights as we are now, we’re way better off than other places. No one’s close to us in that sense.

And so when Our Lady appeared at the Tree, we realized, after some time, this represented our nation. We found out shortly after that, that the first ‘appeal to Heaven’ was the flag with a pine tree on it. We also know that Enos Mills, who was the founder of the Rocky Mountain National Park, that he said in a writing that you read in some of the writings here that, ‘I can’t help believe that the flags of the nations will be a great pine tree, or a pine that will be a symbol of peace.’ This was written in the early 1900s. So Our Lady wrote a script there. We were motivated and encouraged to follow the message more deeply, pray more for our nation. So I’m praying here behind Independence Hall and the whole concept of the Patriotic Rosary comes to me. I walk around after that and really felt the presence of God walking, wanting to show me things and teach. And I walk two blocks around Independence Hall, and I find St. Mary’s. I’d never read that in Church history. I’d never seen that in the history books. It’s not even here on the plaques on the corners now. But I wrote in American History You Never Learned, that Pope John Paul II had told all religious orders that wished to be restored to go back to the founders and live what they were founded upon. We have revisionism, even here you see it in the park, changing history. We only go back a few decades what freedom means, but we have to go back to the Founding Fathers to understand who we are and what we have to do from this point.

[A Friend of Mejugorje is reading an excerpt from American History You Never Learned]

‘John Paul said to be restored, go back to the founders and live what they were founded upon. They will be restored. Can a nation not also return to be restored?

‘We are being told and taught that the forefathers of this land were not necessarily religious.’

Really? Don’t go by what everybody tells you, or what the schools tell you, or the textbooks now. You go back to what they wrote, what they said. That’s why we’ve got these quotes here Read them. [A Friend of Medjugorje is referring to banners Caritas put in the field at Independence Hall with quotes from the Founding Fathers and others].
 

‘If you were in Philadelphia at Willing Alley on July 4, 1779, you would have seen the Continental Congress stroll by – all the officials and heads of the new government, the major officers of the army and the navy. You would have seen a tremendous sight because that July 4, 1779, was the first official public religious commemoration of the Declaration of Independence. These people were not going out to sales, barbecues, or fireworks demonstrations. They went out to thank God. The scene must have been electric. The newborn nation was represented there, also again by Our Lady. Her presence was there.’

From the beginning this nation has been consecrated to Her.
 

‘Since this is Her land, it seems, through Her intercession, the first public religious commemoration should be the highest [form of] prayer on earth. If you were there you would have seen George Washington, along with other officials giving thanks to Almighty God by attending…Holy Mass.’

‘…at the Church named after Our Lady…’Old Saint Mary’s.’ What must have been in Washington’s thoughts as he pondered the beautiful Woman of Valley Forge?’

Which, that [story] is in American History You Never Learned, you’ll have to read that. But as I was walking here, [reflecting on] all these things, [there] came a deeper understanding, because my heart, and our what turned into our charism, was praying for our nation. But Our Lady was saying and showing through Her messages, it’s in the family. It’s in the world that surrounds you. And so we’re here in a special way to see what we need to heal there at home. The forgiveness, the tragedies, the wars that take place, can’t take place on the battlefield until we fix the ones, when we fix the ones that’s in our own home. That may be difficult.

So Benjamin Franklin went on to say, ‘I therefore beg to move the prayers, imploring the assistance of Heaven and its blessing, be held at this assembly every morning.’ So his proclamation, ‘If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aide?’ And then what happened? After they went on their knees, after they prayed, the deadlock was broken. And so we have finally a point that we get to a vote and that vote was very tensioned because everybody was ready to go back home. They knew the nation was not going to be. And so contemplate this as you see and look at Independence Hall; what took place in this room. They got nowhere without God, they got comfortable, and they got everywhere once they turned to God in prayer.”

Sacred Bond

He found a secluded spot and placed the dirt.

He wanted to make a strong foundation.

He put water on both sides.

He wanted it to be hidden, for it was a gift to His Mother.

On two occasions it would be found, but He managed to keep it secret, until He was ready to give it to Her. And then it happened…

It was found.

And soon after He gave it to Her,
Who by then was Queen with many titles.

He called it, ‘America.’

The upper part He peopled from all over the earth,
and then did the impossible
by miraculously uniting these people
of different backgrounds.

He put in their hearts an illumination, to
build a nation as the world had never seen.

Never in the history of the world had such a diverse group of people come together for such a common cause.

And though the Divine was involved,
only the prayerful understood it.

So vivid was this vision, that the original Founders recognized clearly, all was orchestrated by the hand of providence.

And now the veil lifts further to reveal that this nation’s existence from the beginning,
was to be used by the Queen for Her purposes of peace,
consecrated to Her as Her instrument, Her tool to bring stability to all other lands.

A foundation to build upon.

A land to bring freedom such as the world has never known before to all people of the earth.

For the prayerful, discerning heart, this is easy to see.

For the one without prayer, it is impossible to understand.

The United States of America, being consecrated to its Patroness, the Virgin Mary, is united to Her in a Sacred Bond to be used for peace as no other land or nation has ever been throughout all of history.

Her enemy, trying to take it away from Her,
divided it from within.

But She, Herself, came back to reclaim it
as the Queen of the South.

As gold, She know purifies it to make it one, united, strong, shimmering from sea to sea.

America, the beautiful;

the Queen’s necklace,

Her Son’s rod

for peace.

There’s a spiritual war being waged here at home. I stand before you today a frail, flawed sinner.

I just left the President. He understands this as profoundly as the Founders. You’ve heard him say over and over again, freedom is not America’s gift to the world, it is God’s gift to humanity.

Galatians 5:1 – Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free.

We recite with gratitude the words from the Declaration of Independence, ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal and they are endowed by the Creator with certain unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.’ It’s a confession that liberty preceded the Constitution, he Declaration of Independence. Liberty was sourced in the creation.

Americans are different. We’re still the only nation willing to send its sons and daughters into harms way, not for gold or treasure or colonial conquest, but to risk all in the hope that someone else could have the freedoms we enjoy.

In the heart of every person, there’s a longing to be free, free from fear and persecution, free to think and free to speak. Too many hearts have long been silenced to the song of liberty. Let the heart of every person, be a place where freedom rings.

That’s the struggle that America faces today. There are those who would deprive us of quiet and peaceable living.

Let freedom ring from the mountains, freedom ring from sea to sea, let freedom ring to every heart that longs for hope and liberty.

Those who would threaten the ability of individuals to make their own decisions and to exercise the liberty that has been a part of creation from the beginning.

Let freedom ring to every nation, freedom ring near and far. Let freedom ring with celebration in the halls of every heart. Let freedom ring.

Lord of lords, God of gods and King of kings, we praise You and bow before You. Lord, we thank you for the bounty beyond measure and the resources so vast to quantify with which You have bestowed upon this fruitful land.

From the heart of every prisoner, bound because of their belief. From the heart of every mother, wondering how her child will eat. From the heart of those who suffer, knowing well the price might be, laying down their lives and saying with their lives, ‘Let freedom ring…’

Lord, we’re grateful for the most diverse and prosperous and generous population on earth.

Let freedom ring from the mountains, freedom ring from sea to sea, let freedom ring to every heart that longs for hope and liberty. Let freedom ring to every nation, freedom ring near and far. Let freedom ring with celebration in the halls of every heart. Let freedom ring. From the heart of every patriot rings the song of liberty. It’s the song that breaks oppression’s hold and cries, ‘Let freedom ring.’

Lord we ask that You deliver us from evil. For Your forgiveness when we have strayed from Your way. We beseech You, Lord, for Godly, enlightened leaders. Your guidance for our President, Wisdom for our legislators, justice tempered with mercy from our judges. We beg for pastors who know and preach Your Word, teachers who know Your name. And parents who sing Your praises to their children. Lord, protect those who server the cause of liberty. And let us be worthy of the sacrifices of our youth, who are in peril on land and sea and air. And Lord, let it be said of us that we were a people who fought the good fight, who finished the race, who kept the faith. That we turned to You to let freedom ring.

A Friend of Medjugorje – “We must realize we’re in a spiritual battle. We’ve been told from Heaven that, ‘…A great struggle is about to unfold…between my Son and satan. Human souls are at stake.’¹¹ It’s physically manifested. The spiritual battle we face now will determine the physical battle we go through, and we’re seeing it on all levels. There’s a division. We’re not one nation now. There’s a polarization. You’ve got to go to the light or to the dark. The only thing and the way to win this is if we put the Ten Commandments back into our life, that God’s first in our nation, and then He’ll put us first as His children that He protects.

This country is different. It’s the first country in the history of the world where a group of men sat down and actually conceived a nation. And even they, with all their principles, got comfortable, and we almost didn’t become that and have a constitution. They studied all other constitutions across the world. Who had the best form of government? And they couldn’t come to a conclusion until they said, after Benjamin Franklin spoke, we have to go back to prayer, its the only way to revive this or save it. We would be in the ‘ash heap of history,’ as Reagan said. People would scorn us as Israel was scorned. And we’re being scorned now, not because of who we are, but because we betrayed God. And we won’t stand without Him, and this is our path. What I realized praying years ago behind Independence Hall, the Rosary, was something happened in this room. Something extraordinary took place inside Independence Hall. I never knew it from the history books; I never understood it. Franklin’s appeal to them: ‘We’ve got to go to the Almighty for Providence. He saved us in the struggle against Great Britain, can He do it now?’ and they reacted in prayer. And the impasse broke how? The Holy Spirit has been in this building. It was broke by the Holy Spirit. This is holy ground. Very few people see this. They see it as history. It’s a holy place. It’s consecrated ground. Everything this nation stands for comes from God. And we betray Him. And we thing we’re modern and we can change everything, even natural law. Woe to us. Woe to us who come here and are the strongest in understanding these things that it’s not through the elections. Those things only work if we’re right with God, they’ll come to our favor. If it doesn’t, we won’t. “…Nothing is by chance…,” Our Lady said, “…neither pain, nor joy…” ¹² What does that mean? If you live a life…if your life doesn’t reflect what you’re supposed to be walking with God, [that] He’s first, then you’ll have negative consequences; suffering. If you do everything you’re supposed to do, you walk in the light, then you’ll experience joy, even in sufferings. Nothing is by chance. If you have adverse consequences happening in your life, it’s the way you’re living. And somebody else may have the same adverse consequences, but it’s a positive impact, because they know they can offer it for salvation and their atonement. “If my people repent and turn from their wicked ways, I will revive their land.” ¹³ Do you believe that or not? It’s just that simple. And we can’t expect reprobates or anybody else to do it until we get it. The revelation I had praying back there is, this is really a holy building, where a nation was conceived – [founded upon] the principles of Christ and its law. And it doesn’t matter whether you want to be a Christian. This nation is a Christian-principled nation by law. And if you want to be here, you join that. If you want to move here, embrace it. And if you don’t, you’re not welcome. We don’t welcome people here that hate this country, that despises who we are, that don’t want to change their life and they flee from something they want to bring that they’re leaving to be made this way.

People have always been welcome here. My grandfather was an immigrant, but he loved this nation. And if you don’t espouse that, we don’t need it. But we can’t stand up against that because throughout history and Biblical history, those who came degredated the people they invaded. We need to understand these principles first in our own heart, and then we expect and have an expectation of others to live by the same principles. You can be a nonbeliever. I remember an atheist telling me that he’s sending his kids to a Catholic school and he didn’t believe in God, he had trouble doing that. But he knew it was to the advantage of his children to send them to that school to get those principles. Everybody benefits, even a nonbeliever. So don’t try to change our laws, don’t accept that. How do we start that fight? How do we end that fight? Through prayer. They did it here. They’re the first witnesses of a nation being born, calling down God and the Holy Spirit came in and broke an impassable pass, where they were ready to go home back to the colonies; thirteen colonies [states] with separate constitutions.

“And so it is, we find ourselves in a position right now of woe, woe, woe to America. And where Benjamin Franklin said, ‘If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it possible that an empire can rise without His aide?’ If that’s the same true thing, about the sparrow, then can we be revived, can we be changed and renewed without His consent? What brings His consent, what will bring that blessing is in your heart, not in the election. It’s what we do and what we decide to do and how we live. We must return back to the Commandments. The three monotheistic religions of the world: Judaism, Christianity, Muslims, all believe in the same Ten Commandments. The only place Holy Mass was in the colonies, allowed back when it happened, was right here in Philadelphia. And you had a synagogue here, you had Quakers here, you had many different religions, different people. That was fertile ground for God to act, that these people lived in unity and respected each other. And so it is, we have weeping going on for America and its a tragedy because it doesn’t have to be this way. But our hands are in the hands of the Blessed Virgin Mary today. Because I decided that or you decided that? No. God decided it. And He’s going to decide what He’s going to do, whether He will make good wine, or nothing, as He did to His Mother when She asked at Cana. And we’re at that point for it.

A Friend of Medjugorje – “Years and years of prayer and we got the answer, ‘Form and make prayer groups through which we will pray for your healing and the healing of this nation to draw closer to God and to me.’ ¹⁴ We’ve been given the answer. O’ come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful. Enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your spirit…and we shall renew the face of the earth.

Before you leave Philadelphia, go behind Independence Hall and do a Rosary there. It’s a holy place. It’s a holy ground. And we’re giving that ground up to people who want to make it unholy and mean something else. Take it back by holiness. Our Lady Queen of Peace and Reconciliation, [pray for us]. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen.
