“Your faith and trust in the Heavenly Father are fragrant roses which you offer me…”
We are being asked by Our Lady to trust the Heavenly Father. It is this trust that is what we offer to Our Lady, as a fragrant rose and it is a test.
(Medjugorje photo taken March 6, 2019) – A lone nun descends Cross Mountain in Medjugorje. We have been told through the Caritas Community in Medjugorje, that the village is very quiet during these days. With Italy shut down and restrictions on travel from Europe to the U.S., there are not many pilgrims seen in Medjugorje.
What Our Lady is asking us to give Her, is the gift of our trust in the Father. This gift is a test of our worldview. How do we react? A Friend of Medjugorje shares a perspective of the correct worldview of Medjugorje, and it is a litmus test for our view:
Recently, a woman came into the Caritas Mission House in Medjugorje and she said she felt sorry for all the villagers in Medjugorje because once the secrets happen, it will all be over. No one will be coming to Medjugorje anymore. The community member speaking with her told the woman, “that she had no understanding of Medjugorje if she thought the secrets were the end of Medjugorje.”
When the secrets happen, it will be the beginning of Medjugorje… So, Our Lady is asking us to incorporate something into our life that will affect us for Eternity. She told us in more than one message, “… be ready …”
Before a race begins, the runners are asked if they are ready. The question we ask is, “Are you ready?” As a Friend of Medjugorje shared above, we are witnessing not the end of Medjugorje, but we are, in this moment, before the race even begins. This period of trial is a conditioning to run the race. How you trust is a test of your worldview of Medjugorje. Be in prayer and trust, especially as we wait for Mirjana’s annual apparition tomorrow, that Our Lady’s words will help each to trust and to be ready to run the race.
