When the world sees the followers of Our Lady, do they see joy?
January 21, 2014 A.D.
In these days, when many are looking at Medjugorje, we pose the question: When the world sees the followers of Our Lady, what do they see? Everyone you will encounter today is seeking joy, real joy that comes from their heart. Many seek happiness in the material joys reflected through “American idols,” trends, clothing, etc…Medjugorje shows us that joy is carried in the heart.
Medjugorje visionary, Vicka, known for her continual joy, was asked, “What about those who cannot come to Medjugorje?”
She replied, “Medjugorje is a condition of the heart. All people on earth are called to have the messages of Medjugorje. That is why the Blessed Mother has come.”
What does your life reflect to others? Do you reflect the holiness, goodness, obedience that come from love of God? You can…and what is in your heart will be seen on your face, a mirror for others of the beauty of Medjugorje.
Meditate on the faces of the children in the picture above.
Our Lady, the “Star of Heaven” wishes to guide us, that we might lead the culture. We are to reflect the real joys of life, rather than the false glitter produced by people, ‘the stars,’ the ‘idols,’ the ‘fashions,’ reflected around us. Our Lady of Medjugorje said on October 24, 1985:
“Dear children, from day to day I wish to clothe you in holiness, goodness, obedience, and God’s love, so that from day to day you become more beautiful and more prepared for your Master. Dear children, listen to and live my messages. I wish to guide you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
As A Friend of Medjugorje is often quoted, these words convey so much the disposition of Our Lady’s apostles:
“What we are to be is as the stars in the night who say nothing, but in their silence say everything by their brilliance.”
