The Caritas Community gathered in prayer for Mary’s Eve, August 4, 2015. Our work came to a halt as we gathered in the Field of Apparitions to pray the Marian Mysteries of the Rosary, that a Friend of Medjugorje put together 10 years ago. It was a peace-filled night, with the children playing all around, and Our Lady lit up by candles. The evening was spent in prayer to prepare our hearts to offer Our Lady a sinless day* for Her birthday, August 5.
These celebrations that a Friend of Medjugorje initiated though the Caritas Community, and which many are now making a part of their lives, are but a small indication of how the future will hold August 5 in importance. This will not be merely a Catholic feast, but it will be a feast of every faith, holding onto Our Lady as their Mother, in every place, every village where God is acknowledged, where love reigns and Mary of Nazareth is held as Queen. It is a beautiful future that awaits the world that will accept Our Lady. Because where She is loved and accepted, Jesus is loved and accepted. When Jesus is accepted, peace will reign. Wait for the day, it will surely come… through Our Lady.
