Marija arrived in the United States on Saturday, June 28. The Caritas Community received a great blessing on this day as Our Lady waited to come in the apparition until Marija arrived at the home of our founder, more than ten hours past the time of her normal apparition. The community gathered in the Bedroom to pray a Rosary to welcome Our Lady back to our home place. Our founder always abandons it to Our Lady to tell us where She will appear each day. It was his belief in the beginning that Her plans are always perfect and therefore, the place and time of each apparition should be in Her hands. And now, through many of Marija’s visits, it is evident Our Lady does have preferences and it is always beautiful to see them manifest according to Her doing what is best rather than us orchestrating the plans. Since we do not know all the plans of Our Lady for the future nor Her purposes, the decision of where and when the apparitions will be each day is a joy for us to watch unfold.
Our founder asked Marija before the apparition Saturday night, June 28, where and at what time the apparition would be the next day, Sunday June 29th. Our Lady responded that it would be at the normal time and that it would be in the Bedroom. The following day there was a bit of confusion of what the “normal” time was. We quickly learned when, shortly after returning home from Sunday morning Mass, everyone in the community received the call to come down to the house immediately for the apparition. The apparition was at 11:40 a.m. This time is just after the Rosary is prayed everyday in the Field. Once again, the community gathered around the Bed and began praying the Rosary. Our founder spoke to the community encouraging them to let go of all the work that still needed to be done before the retreat began on Tuesday, and pray this Rosary from the heart, being moved to go deeply into prayer, and rise above the small distractions of the little babies and community children who were also present to be blessed by Our Lady. Upon the end of the apparition, Marija told the community that Our Lady did something special. She started on one side of the room and slowly looked at every face present before Her, scanning the entire room of faces, finishing at the other side of the Bedroom. As if She was marking each face in the community, Marija said Our Lady moved Her head to peer around those who were blocked by other community members as if to show or emphasize how each one is important to Her. Marija relayed to us once before that when Our Lady does this, it’s a very endearing gesture and one that rarely takes place in an apparition. The community was very touched by this. In response to Marija’s question about the apparition the next day, Monday June 30th, Our Lady responded that the apparition would be “Same time, same place,” meaning also at 11:40 a.m. and in the Bedroom.
In today’s apparition, knowing that there were already many pilgrims who have arrived for the July 1-5 events and were praying in the Field during the time of apparition, our founder, known as A Friend of Medjugorje, asked Marija to ask Our Lady to bless them. At this request, Our Lady turned towards the Field and extended Her hand in a blessing, as She often did in 1988 when tens of thousands were converted. Tomorrow, July 1, begins the five days of prayer. When our founder asked Marija to asked Our Lady about the apparition tomorrow, Our Lady responded again, “Same time, same place.” And so it is Our Lady who has chosen to appear in the Bedroom at 11:40 a.m. where the apparitions first began here twenty years ago, in 1988. This will take place while everyone is gathered in the Field to be blessed. Our Lady will also receive their petitions upon this spot in the Field where She said in 1988 She would intercede before God for all the intentions given to Her at this site. We are excited about these actions of Our Lady because, though we thought She would appear in the Field, we can see that She is moving forward Her plans for these next few days. The Bedroom Minutes After Today’s, Monday, June 30, 2008, Apparition
After today’s apparition, we learned the Holy Virgin Mary has chosen to appear tomorrow over the bed, the place where She began everything here 20 years ago in 1988. Responding to Our Lady’s choice to begin the July 1-5 gathering, the founder of Caritas said, “I was surprised by this, but at the same time felt a joy and a little mystery that Our Lady started these special days leading up to July 4 from the Bedroom.” Sixteen years of seven novenas per year has resulted in the accumulation of tens of millions of prayers along with much fasting and many sacrifices for the gathering of the consecration of the United States of America into Our Lady’s complete possession on July 4, 2008. The day of July 4, 2008 is viewed as a day pleading for deliverance. Our Lady choosing to appear in the Bedroom on July 1, instead of the Field, speaks of what the first day is dedicated to – a day, like as in the Old Testament city of Nineveh, in which all will spend it in repentance and seeking forgiveness in order to save ourselves and our nation. It all begins in the family and the bedroom signifies the need of the family to be healed, the spirit of the family to be strengthened. The nation will be healed when the families of the nation become strong. It is not by chance Our Lady has chosen to start the July 1-5 gathering by appearing over the family bed. Stare and meditate on this picture and anticipate the appearance of the Queen of Peace upon it tomorrow and be in union with this apparition at the same moment wherever you may be.
