Man and the Earth Refreshed

Man and the Earth Refreshed

August 20, 2019 A.D.

Yesterday at Caritas, we received much-needed rain, not only for our fields, but also for our spirits. After weeks of heat, and a temperature reaching 105 to 108 degrees, yesterday’s rain was a great refreshment, especially for the kids. Several strong downbursts knocked down more than one powerline. However, the Caritas systems continued to operate, with Radio WAVE still broadcasting worldwide, thanks to the new backup power system that was installed earlier this year, paid for by all of you who gave to the Mej.com plea in 2017. Thank you for your help and we ask you to continue to help.

This morning as we gathered for our morning prayer, we picked this message of Our Lady at random:

“My heart is joyful watching the love and joy in the living of my messages.”

The picture below, is a living image of these words.

Caritas kids playing in the rain, August 19, 2019

August 19, 2019 – Luke, Annaleah, and Isabella play in the rain on the Caritas shipping ramp – with Isabella’s Scapular hanging out of her shirt of course. As soon as the thunder could be heard in the distance and the wind started to pick up, the kids were already running in circles in the parking lot.

A Friend of Medjugorje felt a calling in his heart many years ago, to leave to his children, not money, but a way to live. This structure of a way of life, is paramount to any society that has any hope of surviving. A Friend of Medjugorje explains more:

Today, it has been shown in studies that a child raised in a good family, but in a bad neighborhood, with immoral peer pressure, etc., is worse off than a child raised in a bad family but in a good neighborhood with moral peer pressure. The overemphasis of good family and acceptance of bad culture is ignorance sated with darkness. Peer pressure is so powerful that children raised in good families are infected negatively by the culture. Even if they are not made into complete nonbelievers by the culture, they are still damaged by it. A healthy, Godly culture fosters the elevation of man. A culture sated in darkness nurtures man’s fall into ignorance. For this reason, we cannot expect the good health of family without instituting and keeping culture at large in check by God’s love.

Caritas shipping ramp letting off steam, August 19, 2019

August 19, 2019 – Steam pours off the wall of the Caritas shipping ramp. After many days of so much heat, the concrete receiving this cooling rain, let off its steam for over an hour.

Our Lady of Medjugorje said on January 27, 1986:

“Every second of prayer is like a drop of dew in the morning which refreshes fully each flower, each blade of grass and the earth. In the same way prayer refreshes man. When man is tired, he gets rest. When he is troubled, he finds peace again. Man renews himself and can, once again, listen to the words of God.”

God continues to give man and the earth refreshment, not only by rain which falls from the sky, but by the reign of the Queen of Peace, Who descends from Heaven each day to bless the world.
