The 54-Day Rosary Novena for the Jubilee Year of Mercy Begins Today

Today begins the 54-day Rosary Novena for the Jubilee Year of Mercy, in which many across the world are joining with the Community of Caritas. For those of you who may have just stumbled across our website or have missed the earlier announcements of this special novena, you can download, for free, a copy of Medjugorje, Prepare the World for My Final Coming which will give you all the information needed to start the novena in union with the Caritas Community that begins today, Tuesday, March 22nd and ends May 14th. The novena, however, can be said, anytime, throughout the year leading up to the end of the Holy Year on November 20, 2016. You can also order the short book from Caritas of Birmingham by calling 205-672-2000. Many are placing orders of 50, 75, 100 or more to spread the important information about the Year of Mercy to family, friends, priests, parishioners and strangers. This itself is a work of mercy as once the year passes, the opportunity to receive this special Jubilee Indulgence will have passed many by. We have already sent out several thousand books. Keep the momentum of grace going! It’s one of the easiest ways to save a soul today. Introduce them to the mercy of God, and His greatest gift of mercy to the world today—His Mother.
We received the following fax from one of our Caritas Extended Community members Sunday evening, March 20. It makes for a perfect introduction and beginning of the 54-Day Rosary Novena that the Caritas Community begins today, and all of you who are joining us, in preparation for the Jubilee Indulgence and going through the Holy Doors during the Feast of Pentecost.
Hello Community Family!
I pray you all are well and in great peace as we enter into this most Holy Week. The reason I’m writing today is because I’ve been in total awe since midday yesterday when I was given a “candy” from Our Lady regarding the March 18, 2016, message to Mirjana. On Friday morning, my son read it to me as we drove to work. As he read it, a few words and phrases struck me: internal gaze…internal listening…boundlessly trust. I immediately wondered if She had ever used these words before. I’ve just searched the messages and found that She has only used the word boundless one other time, internal one other time, and gaze one other time, as well as once in the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. But from Friday morning until Saturday midday, I could not get those words out of my mind: “…learn by an internal gaze and internal listening to follow God’s will…boundlessly trust in His mercy…” They kept repeating in my mind all day and into the night.
While working alone at our trailer on Saturday, I took a break for lunch. While eating, I read Day #13 of 33 Days to Merciful Love—another do-it-yourself retreat by Fr. Michael Gaitley but this time in preparation for Consecration to Divine Mercy. I was supposed to read Day #13 on Friday, March 18, but I “forgot” (i.e. fell asleep very early ☺). So I was reading it Saturday—a day “late”—when I came to footnote #79: “…Jesus wants to work the great miracle of forming the littlest of souls into the greatest saints. But he needs our trust to do it…” Little did I know, Our Lady was about to take my breath away…
I turned to the back of the book and began reading footnote #79, which was quite lengthy for a footnote. The last part of it was a message from Jesus recorded in St. Faustina’s Diary (#1578). I almost dropped the book as I felt my heart sink and then begin to race. It was a moment of such grace and joy and breathlessness, but also of such awe, weight, and realization—a concrete realization. I understood in that moment that what Our Lady said She desired on March 2nd, She was doing on March 18. On March 2, 2016, she said, “I desire to remind you of the words of my Son.” After March 2nd, I only thought of “the words of [Her] Son” to be words from Holy Scripture, but in that moment, She showed me something else.
I certainly don’t think that I’m the only one to have learned or recognized this, but I am still so filled with a burning fire lit within me yesterday that I couldn’t help but share it with you all.
In paragraph #1578 of St. Faustina’s Diary, Our Lady is reminding us—word-for-word, in this Jubilee Year of Mercy—of the words of Her Son:
BOUNDLESS, unlimited; unconfined; immeasurable; illimitable; as boundless space; boundless power.
I’m in such awe at the “puzzle” Our Lady is assembling before our eyes. Just like when a jigsaw puzzle is dumped out of the box onto a large table, the image is already there. All the pieces are just waiting to be found and snapped into the correct place, so as to enable us to actually SEE the image that was there all along. Sometimes, after a lengthy search for a particularly shaped piece, you find that it was right in front of your eyes. I believe that Our Lady is correcting our eyesight to see what’s right in front of us that we’ve become too blind to readily see.
I continue to have the unyielding impulse to read through Jesus’ words in the Divine Mercy Diary for the words internal gaze and internal listening. I’ll share with you any other “candies.” ☺
A Friend of Medjugorje, I thank you for sharing the gift you have been given to dig deeply into Our Lady’s messages. I always anticipate with such yearning each of the Radio WAVE/Mejanomics shows and your writings. The more I learn of Our Lady and Her messages, the more I want.
