Last Pilgrimage of the Season 2012 – Limited Seats Available

October 13, 2012 A.D.

Ninety-Five Years Ago today, October 13, thousands saw the miracle of the sun at Fatima where Our Lady had appeared. What was birthed was a worldwide movement of prayer by Our Lady that resulted in an increase of devotion to Our Lady. Thus, when She would come to Medjugorje in 1981, She would have been made known, and now Medjugorje has become the destination of over 30 million pilgrims, where Our Lady still appears to this day in an ongoing phenomenon. Our Lady tells us of the connection between Fatima and Medjugorje:

August 25, 1991

“…I invite you to renunciation for nine days so that with your help everything I wanted to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima may be fulfilled. I call you dear children to understand now the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation…”

It can be easy for one to be so caught up in complacency, in their job, in their problems, and even in their devotions not to see the seriousness of the situation of the world we live in today.

Caritas Pilgrim in Medjugorje 2012

A 2012 BVM Caritas Medjugorje pilgrim climbing Cross Mountain in Medjugorje carries a rock. The carrying of the rock up the mountain symbolizes many things: family, problems, sicknesses, conversions needed.

A Friend of Medjugorje formed BVM Caritas Medjugorje Pilgrimages with the mission to provide you with the best structure to be able to experience Our Lady, with the heart, to change your life, which is necessary for the world we live in today. It is a pilgrimage of renunciation and prayer. BVM Caritas Medjugorje Pilgrimages does not take tourists, only pilgrims. Are you a pilgrim in the heart? Do you seek an encounter with God? Have you been called to Medjugorje but have not answered because of complacency, fear, uncertainty, or just too busy? Can you take nine days of renunciation with Our Lady in Medjugorje, so that the secrets She began at Fatima may be fulfilled? Come to Medjugorje, October 29 – November 7. If you are still reluctant to answer the call, here are a few words from some BVM Caritas pilgrims:

My pilgrimage to Medjugorje uplifted my devotion to God and Our Lady. It’s a life experience I will strongly value. I am very grateful and blessed that I was drawn to join the BVM/Caritas pilgrimage and I would surely recommend BVM/Caritas Pilgrimages to my family and friends.

Caritas helped me to spiritually prepare and thus to be as open as possible for the graces of the pilgrimage. Caritas attended to every detail beginning with the spiritual preparation. They sent books to read, prayers to pray and the assurance that they were praying for me even before I left home, was comforting and strengthening and brought much peace. Everything else, from ground transportation, food, lodging, schedule of guided times was taken care of by Caritas which, in turn, helped me to stay focused and peaceful.

I’ve visited other religious sites, even pilgrimage sites, but I never experienced a true pilgrimage. Thank you, Caritas for leading me to Our Lady in Medjugorje.

Caritas Pilgrims in Medjugorje 2012

Pilgrimages are as old as Christianity itself. The visiting of Holy sites, the walking of paths, the climbing of mountains, all teach us about our pilgrimage of life. A Medjugorje pilgrimage, in union with others in prayer, fulfill what Jesus spoke, that where two or three are gathered in His name He would be in their midst. The presence of Jesus and Mary throughout your pilgrimage is something you can hold in your hands, breath in the air, see with your eyes, embrace with the heart. Who doesn’t want that experience?

All the way home from my pilgrimage, I kept trying to think of a word to describe my time in Medjugorje. I don’t think I was ever successful. The closest I could come was “infinitely priceless.” I feel like I am finally experiencing a true conversion and my faith has moved from my head to my heart.
