In this picture from yesterday’s apparition, Our Lady appears to be looking out over the village of Medjugorje. A Friend of Medjugorje says that Medjugorje was in the mind of God when he created the world – that every mountain and field was laid out by God as part of the amphitheater for the last apparitions of Our Lady upon the earth. For more see Our Lady appeared to Marija on Day 7 of the Novena for the 44th anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions. Our Lady appeared at 5:00 a.m. and the apparition lasted almost 6 minutes. The following is Marija’s description of the apparition.
“Today, when Our Lady came, right away, She looked at all of us and She prayed over us. After that, I asked Our Lady to intercede for us for peace in our hearts, in our families and in the whole world. Our Lady prayed over us for a longer time in Her Motherly language, Aramaic. Our Lady blessed all of us and all our religious articles that we brought. Our Lady left for Heaven and She left in peace.”

A RESPONSE TO A QUESTION BY A FRIEND OF MEDJUGORJE
A Friend of Medjugorje was sent this question from one who was following the reports of the Nine Day Novena in Medjugorje on mej.com:
“I just had a question for Friend of Medjugorje. Can he please talk about the significance of why Our Lady is silent during these 9 special apparitions leading up to the 44th anniversary? I’ve been following them and praying along, and it seems he may have better insight on why there are no messages associated and that She simply prays over us and for us and leaves. I would really appreciate his insight. Thanks.” E.F.
Dear E.F.,
After reading your question, a Friend of Medjugorje dictated his response to a community member who typed it out as he composed it spontaneously, drawing upon his many years of experience in following Our Lady.
This is what a Friend of Medjugorje said:
Everything comes from Our Lady.
Her lips are golden.
When you go to mine gold, it is hidden in the earth.
To mine the gold, you have to dig for it.
When one is successful, it is a joy.
Approach the apparitions of Our Lady in the same way.
You can then receive joy even when Our Lady is silent.
Is Our Lady’s silence a message?
Our Lady, Her wisdom, can be discovered through your prayer.

At this point, a Friend of Medjugorje began to speak of a song, a memory that was triggered through the words he had just spoken. He said,
“Look up ‘Love is Golden,’ or something like that.”
Searching under that title, the song that came up was similar but was instead, “Silence is Golden.” Immediately, a Friend of Medjugorje exclaimed,
“Yes, yes, that’s the song.”
Then tears came to his eyes as he suddenly realized that the title of the song matched perfectly with the question asked, and the response he had given above just minutes before. He said,
“Who can say that the Holy Spirit is not giving inspiration. This is so beautiful; so perfect in how it connects to what has just been said. Our Lady is putting this together.”
Listening to the song and the lyrics, a Friend of Medjugorje said that it seemed to be speaking directly about Our Lady. The song and lyrics are provided below.

A Friend of Medjugorje continues: The second part of the song may seem disconnected from Our Lady, but in reality, Our Lady will never willingly see the negative in anyone. I quoted in my writing, “Crisis, Discipline,” that the definition of “peace” is a perfectly positive attitude.
While Our Lady certainly is not fooled by a person who is a sinner, She also will never label a person or judge a person’s worth based on their sin. Everyone is a creation of God and therefore, has purpose and worth as a child of God.
Our Lady chooses to see the good/God in everyone, never giving up on the possibility of them changing.
This is why Her silence is golden. Her silence means She does not judge, She does not condemn, She does not reject. Her silence is an invitation and encouragement to receive the love of God and to allow His love to change your heart and mentalities.
She is the model of love that we look to, or as the song says ‘but my eyes still see’, in order to learn this way of love.

One Final Note from a Friend of Medjugorje:
A Friend of Medjugorje has been present for Marija’s evening apparitions as well as the mountain apparitions in the morning each day. This evening, only five people were present with Marija, including a Friend of Medjugorje. After the apparition, an insight was given to him after hearing Marija say what had happened in the apparition tonight. She had been saying after each apparition that she has been asking Our Lady everyday if She would intercede to Her Son Jesus to give us peace—peace in our hearts, peace in our families, and peace in the whole world.
These prayers for peace have not been initiated by Our Lady, but instead, Marija herself has been the one to initiate these prayers by asking Our Lady to speak to Jesus on our and the world’s behalf. Normally, it is Our Lady who tells Marija what to pray for. But here, Marija has been bold in going before Our Lady to seek Her intercession for peace. Marija has done a switch in her apparitions, and Our Lady seems to have given Her approval for this.

I believe Our Lady is silent for two reasons:
(1) She has already told us all that we need to know and wants us to start listening to her if we haven’t done so yet.
(2) By her silence, she is showing us how to listen to God in our hearts.
Our Lady’s silence speaks “louder than words.” We just have to listen.

Dear Friend of Medjugorje, Very beautiful and my thought through these days has been, she comes to pray for us, for all of us, for peace. She doesn’t say a word, because her prayers are enough. Also, so interesting that this song came to mind and the word golden comes to mind, as Trump has been proclaiming a “Golden Era.” Reminds me of Big Q, Little Q. Just saying…..
I believe Her Immaculate Heart is in the process of triumphing and something deep within me has told me, this 9 day novena – is VERY IMPORTANT! I still pray, that when Her Immaculate Heart triumphs, we will see her knee straight – in the original image of “Our Lady of Guadulupe” as her foot will be over the Lucifer’s head. Some say her knee is bent as she is in the Aztec dance, I never felt or believed that, her foot is over an angel with horns. Not an ugly angel, because Lucifer was not ugly when created and nothing ugly has ever been shown in an image of Our Lady!

What came to my mind is the prayer that I pray sometimes several times a day. It’s the Unity Prayer brought to my attention by Fr. James Blount who is also a Medjugorje supporter. The prayer is meant to temporarily blind demons. It goes as follows…
“My Adorable Jesus,
May our feet journey together
May our hands gather in unity
May our hearts beat as one
May our ears LISTEN TO THE SILENCE TOGETHER
May our glances profoundly penetrate each other
And may our lips pray together to gain mercy from the eternal father. Amen
Not sure what the connection could mean but I just appreciate the quiet nights and days that the Israelites and Iranians do not currently have.

We all need too pray for the visionarys. There is a lot of pressure on them and Father Peter who will help during the secrets. Also, Terry, Friend Of Medjugore, so he can be strong and courageous. Also, we need to pray for Blessed Marys intentions and when you go to Mass offer it up for family and the younger generation, and children. Pray for conversion of the whole world. Amen

With regards to the silence issue, we as Americans have lost our sense as a nation for Peacefulness and Calmness. Silence is a beautiful and treasured gift that some tend to run from, even in our families.
I believe God has allowed us to respond to His Mother’s Presence in our prayers and availability, whether in Medjugorje or even watching from our living rooms.

I find it interesting that day 9 of the apparitions is the feast day of John the Baptist.
