Our Lady appeared to Marija on Day 6 of the Novena for the 44th anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions at 5:00 a.m. and the apparition lasted over 6 minutes. The following is Marija’s description of the apparition.

“During the moment of the apparition, I recommend to Our Lady all of us, all of our intentions, everything that we carry in our hearts, and all those who asked us to pray for them. In a special way, I asked Our Lady to intercede in front of Her Son for peace in the world, for peace in our hearts, peace in our families and peace in the whole world. Our Lady looked at all of us for a long time and She prayed for all of us for a long time. She blessed us all. And after that, She blessed us with the Sign of the Cross and She went into Heaven.

Some Thoughts from a Friend of Medjugorje from Our Lady’s Holy Land

For the sixth day in a row, Our Lady has appeared to Medjugorje Visionary, Marija, at the dawning of a new day, upon the mountain where everything started in Medjugorje 44 years ago. These have been beautiful days in Medjugorje. To begin each day with Our Lady on the Hill of Apparitions, literally watching the dark night turn into the light of day, is a sign of hope and renewal for the whole world. The Song of Song states:

“Who is she that looks forth like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army with banners?”

Song of Songs 6:10

Our Lady, gently ushers in the divine light, not suddenly but with grace and beauty, just as the night slowly gives way to the dawning light of the sun. Our Lady is a sign of hope in our dark times. She is the spiritual dawn in an age overshadowed by sin and confusion. She is the forerunner of her Son’s Second Coming, preparing the world by calling it to conversion, like the dawn before the day.

I have often written that Mary is to Christ what the dawn is to the day:
She is the radiant sign that night is ending.
To see Her is to know the Light is coming.
To follow Her is to be led into the full day of Christ.

Your petitions, over 13,000 of them, were printed out yesterday and presented to Our Lady this morning on top of Apparition Mountain. Every day Marija says that Our Lady is looking out over the crowd, looking at each face. But Her gaze goes beyond those gathered before Her on the mountain. Her gaze reaches to every face around the world that is turned towards Her in this moment of grace. Continue to send your petitions and I will continue to bring them into the presence of Our Lady.
