July 2, 2008 at Caritas with Marija

Today’s apparition, July 2, 2008, was in the Bedroom at 11:40 a.m. It was on this day that everyone present would be making their consecrations to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. The crowds had grown since the day before, filling the inner circle of the Field as well as the outer edges of the Field where people were finding a bit of shade from the trees. There was a deep prayerfulness among those who were gathered. Many had taken the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Confession, while others were still in the process of preparing to receive the Sacrament, but everyone was moving towards the moment of today’s apparition to give their hearts to Jesus and Our Lady, fully.
 

In the midst of about 50 people, kneeling tightly in the Bedroom, Our Lady appeared to Marija over the Bed, blessing everyone present as well as those gathered in the Field. The apparition lasted almost three minutes. Following is Marija’s explanation of the apparition, but today, a surprise was learned when Marija told us the following:
 

“In the moment of the apparition, when Our Lady came, I recommended like always all of your intentions. Our Lady prayed over all of us and She blessed us all. I recommended all the sick people, and in a special way I asked also to bless all religious objects, and all the people who are there in the Field. Our Lady then prayed over everyone for a short time and She made the Sign of the Cross in a blessing. And I asked Our Lady for tomorrow. I said tomorrow is a special day, the Vigil for the 4th, and Our Lady smiling, said that the apparition would be at 10:00 at night in the Field.” Immediately upon hearing this, several in the room wanted Marija to repeat what she had just said as they were shocked to hear Our Lady’s choice for a vigil apparition in anticipation of honoring God for the birth of our nation on the 4th of July. “She said, not here, but in the Field, tomorrow night, 10:00 p.m. Our Lady said [the apparition is] for everybody. These days Our Lady appears always here (in the Bedroom), saying “Same time, same place.” And I think all other people are a little bit jealous of us. So thank God. Thank Our Lady. So, not two times will there be an apparition, but only tomorrow night, in the Field for everybody. You go out now and tell everyone this beautiful news. And God bless you all.”
 

When Marija told everyone of her conversation with Our Lady concerning the apparition tomorrow, that it would be in the Field at 10:00 at night, there was great joy in the room. Marija said that Our Lady smiled when she said to Her “tomorrow” is a special day, the Vigil of the 4th. Marija, herself, was very happy and excited upon telling everyone of Our Lady’s choice.
 

Immediately afterwards, one of the community members who were present for the apparition walked to the Field to share this special grace to the several thousand gathered from across the nation. Everyone was quietly waiting to learn of Our Lady’s visit. At the point when she said something special had happened today, her voice broke with emotion, and then she joyfully relayed the gift Our Lady was giving to us. Even before the announcement was made, many in the crowd were already moved to tears. In fact, the reaction of those gathered was not one of jubilation, even though this joy was felt in our hearts, but it brought about deeper reflection, prayer and wonder. Several began to cry. Our prayers were not only being heard, but Heaven was moving on our behalf through them.
 

With the news of the apparition, a plan was made for the consecration of our families to take place during the apparition at 10:00 p.m. in the Field. A special Rosary will be prayed beforehand. We will gather in the Field at 8:00 p.m. and begin the Rosary at 9:00 p.m. An invitation was made for anyone who desired to spend the night in the Field after the apparition, to offer up prayers throughout the night for Our Lady’s intentions for this special July 4th and the consecration of the United States.
 

Holy Mass, this morning, July 2, 2008. On the second of the Five Days of Prayer with Our Lady, every pew was filled to overflowing. With every voice raised in fervent prayer, once pilgrim said that it reminded him of Medjugorje in the beginning days when St. James Church was filled to the brim and the enthusiasm of the prayers nearly took the roof off the Church. Everyone was excited to see the numbers increasing of those attending these special apparitions for our nation’s conversion.
 

Beautiful sun rays illuminated the Crucifix, while also shining upon the heads of those bent in prayer during the Mass this morning. This was the day pilgrims made their consecrations to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. And by the gift that is being given to us in having Our Lady appear tomorrow night during the Vigil prayer for our nation, it seems that Our Lady was pleased with the gift of our hearts. We continue to pray that She would fully convert all the hearts that have been given to Her today.
 

 This morning, the pilgrims were delighted to hear Marija speak to them. Marija has a wonderful sense of humor and many times during the talk, she had everyone laughing at the stories she told. At the same time, she takes very seriously her responsibilities as a visionary to convey Our Lady’s messages to everyone she meets. She was invited to speak on a secular talk-radio program this afternoon, in which most of listeners are Protestant. She very simply told Her experience with Our Lady, assuring the listeners that those who follow Our Lady are “normal” people, and invited them to come and pray with us for unity in the Church.
