Updated schedule for the July 1-5, 2012 apparitions of Our Lady at Caritas with daily Mass times and location and church bulletin ad

June 11, 2012 A.D.

Below is the latest updated daily schedule. We are pleased to announce that daily Mass will be offered at a local church, Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, for the pilgrims attending the July 1-5, 2012 apparitions of Our Lady. The daily Mass time is 6:30 AM, with the exception of Sunday, in which the 7:00 am Mass is recommended. A map is available for directions to the local Catholic Church below.

Daily Schedule for July 1-5, 2012

5:00 am Morning Prayer: Silent prayer in the Field. Bring blankets to sit on. Please remember to be quiet and turn off flashlights 50 yds. before you arrive at the statue so as not to disturb others in prayer.

* 6:30 am Morning Mass except Sunday: At Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church – click here for map to the Church (Sunday July 1, the recommended Mass is 7 AM)

9:00 am Morning Prayer: In front of The Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages, special announcements and daily apparition times will be made at this time.

10:45 am Rosary in the Field Two mysteries prayed each day as well as the Consecration to the Two Hearts.

12:00 pm Angelus Wherever you may be on the grounds.

3:00 pm Chaplet of Divine Mercy Wherever you may be on the grounds.

On the Hour Prayer: Three Hail Mary’s will be prayed on the top of every hour, from 9–5 for a nine-hour novena each day. We will offer these prayers for Our Lady’s intentions for the renewal of all the earth for a new springtime, for the Holy Spirit’s renewal of the Church, for the consecration of the retooled and expanded Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages, and for your own intentions for the Five Days. At the sound of the bells every hour, kneel down and pray the three Hail Mary’s to Our Lady.

The apparitions of Our Lady will be announced at the time Our Lady tells Marija. In the past Our Lady has told us the day before what time and where She will appear. This place is Hers and it has been a great joy for us in the way Our Lady has often done this for us; sometimes appearing in the morning, sometimes late at night, sometimes during the day, sometimes in the Field, and often times in the Bedroom. We surrender this to Our Lady with the joy that She will do what’s best for Her children. You may bring food on the grounds. Bring snacks, etc. Stay all day and be free to relish the peace here.

Special Note
There will be scheduled talks with Marija and A Friend of Medjugorje throughout the week. It will be important to attend and listen for the times of these talks and other events such as the visit to the Bedroom of Apparitions, the behind the scenes walk through the mission, the climb to Grotto La Pluie, and the Patriotic Rosary, which will be announced at our morning prayer at 9:00 am.

Invite People from Your Church!

A special ad to be placed in your church bulletin is available as a free download here. It is everything you need to have brochures printed for your church bulletins concerning the July 1-5 apparitions of Our Lady. Austria’s Cardinal Christoph Schönborn has been to Medjugorje and publically stated his belief in the apparitions, as have many others in the Church hierarchy. Just last month members of the Vatican commission were in Medjugorje visiting with Marija and the other visionaries. They didn’t stop any of the activities while there, but wanted to experience Medjugorje as a pilgrim. Marija and the other visionaries go all over the world and speak in churches with the freedom the Church gives them.

This is the attitude of the Church towards Medjugorje at this time—one of freedom and an acknowledgement of the good fruits that are coming from Medjugorje in the spiritual lives of millions of Catholics. The statement below, which is also printed in the brochures, was reviewed by a priest and canon lawyer from Rome who has been going to Medjugorje since the early years. He was aware that this statement was being written to update people on the status of Medjugorje and the Church and that it would be printed on all our materials. He gave his approval saying it is an accurate statement concerning the Church’s current stance on Medjugorje.

Thank you for your efforts in spreading the information concerning Our Lady’s visit at Caritas this July 1-5, 2012.

The following special statement for the position of the faithful in regards to Medjugorje and its messages. This latest statement will appear in all Caritas publications:

SPECIAL STATEMENT

Medjugorje Status
December 1, 2011 A.D.

No attempt is intended to pre-empt the Church on the validity of the Medjugorje Apparitions. They are private revelation waiting the Church’s final judgment1. In the interim, these private revelations are allowed by, and for, the faithful to have devotion to and to be spread legally by the Church. Devotion and the propagation of private revelations can be forbidden only if the private revelation is condemned because of anything it contains which contravenes faith and morals according to AAS 58 (1966) 1186 Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Medjugorje has not been condemned nor found to have anything against faith or morals, therefore it is in the grace of the Church to be followed by the faithful. By the rite of Baptism one is commissioned and given the authority to evangelize. “By Baptism they share in the priesthood of Christ, in his prophetic and royal mission.”2 One does not need approval to promote or to have devotions to private revelations or to spread them when in conformity to AAS 58 (1966) 1186, as the call to evangelize is given when baptized. Caritas of Birmingham, the Community of Caritas and all associated with it, realize and accept that the final authority regarding the Queen of Peace, Medjugorje and happenings related to the apparitions, rests with the Holy See in Rome. We at Caritas, willingly submit to that judgment. While having an amiable relationship with the Diocese of Birmingham and a friendly relationship with its bishop, Caritas of Birmingham and its mission is not officially connected to the Diocese of Birmingham, Alabama.3 The Diocese of Birmingham’s official position on Caritas is neutral and holds us as Catholics in good standing.

1.The Church does not have to approve the apparitions. The Church can do as She did with the apparitions of Rue du Bac in Paris and the Miraculous Medal. The Church never approved these apparitions. She gave way to the people’s widespread acceptance of the Miraculous Medal and thereby the Apparitions to St. Catherine

2. Catechism of the Catholic Church 2nd Edition

3. The Knights of Columbus was founded as a lay organization 129 years ago, with the basic Catholic beliefs. Each local council appeals to the local Ordinary to be the Chaplain. The Knights of Columbus is still a lay organization, and operates with its own autonomy.
