Medjugorje – Today, May 19, 2008. The path to the Blue Cross. Many have walked this path carrying their own crosses to be graced by the Queen of Heaven Who comes to visit and bless us.
There was a slight haze with an overcast sky, a very mild evening with thoughts of light rain. At about 7:00 p.m., there were about 50 people present at the Blue Cross. At 8:00 p.m., there were over 500 people. There was an air of expectation and prayer mixed together as people prayed short but ardent prayers. By 10:00 p.m. there were thousands of people at the Blue Cross and the surrounding area. The apparition began at 10:00 p.m. and lasted about 6 minutes.
The following is Ivan’s description of the apparition:
This evening Our Lady came – She was very, very happy. After saying, ‘Praised be Jesus, my little children,’ Our Lady prayed especially tonight for all the sick present. She prayed for their intentions. Afterwards She prayed for all of us for a long time, and blessed all of us with Her Motherly blessing. I then recommended all of your intentions, all your families, and especially the sick to Her. Our Lady, tonight, especially prayed for peace in the world. I prayed with Our Lady an Our Father and a Glory Be. Our Lady then left, saying ‘Go in peace, my little children.’”
A few hours before the apparition, pilgrims began gathering to pray in preparation for Our Lady’s apparition to Ivan.
One of our community members in Medjugorje relayed, “during the day, hayfields were being harvested. The grape vines were leafed out and little sprigs of grapes were emerging between the palm-like leaves. The gardens are newly cultivated and there is lush green trees and shrubbery along the paths.”
Medjugorje, Our Lady says, is a sign-post. To walk the trails and see the gardens, the growth of spring still fresh, all speaks in a way that is supernatural without witnessing something you would define as supernatural. Yet, you feel it, you sense it, your being perceives you are walking on holy, holy ground. Our Lady said:

Medjugorje is your direction, your sign to follow to have a future. Everyone and everything that does not will have no future. Twenty-eight years of apparitions are for the purpose of purifying the heart of the world. All that resist will fade away.
