Ivan’s August 29, 2008 Prayer Group Apparition

Ivan’s August 29, 2008 Prayer Group Apparition

Medjugorje visionary Ivan

Ivan can be seen, along with members of his prayer group, leading the thousands of pilgrims present in prayer, praying the Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary in preparation for Our Lady’s apparition.

A small group of pilgrims began gathering around 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Blue Cross. As day turned into night, the sky was filled with thousands of bright stars. A steady stream of pilgrims continued to gather in every available space near and around the Blue Cross until there were thousands of pilgrims present, praying in preparation for Our Lady’s apparition to Ivan. It was a beautiful night filled with song and prayer, as each heart anticipated the moment that the Queen of Heaven would be before them.

There was about an hour of singing before the Rosaries began, starting around 8:15 p.m. At 9:15 p.m., Ivan announced that we would begin to pray the Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. A few minutes before 10:00 p.m., all grew silent as Ivan announced that it was time for the apparition. Our Lady appeared for almost 8 minutes tonight. The following is Ivan’s description of the apparition with Our Lady that he said in Croatian:

Pilgrims at Blue Cross on Apparition Mountain Medjugorje

Pilgrims, moments after the apparition of Our Lady to Ivan.

“ The most important from tonight’s meeting with Our Lady is that Our Lady came joyful and happy. As always, at the beginning, She greeted us with Her Motherly greeting: “Praised be Jesus my dear children.” Our Lady then prayed for a long time specially for the conversion of sinners (perhaps because just hours before, the statue of Our Lady on Apparition Mountain was desecrated, breaking Our Lady’s marble image’s arm and nose). Our Lady then prayed specially over all of you sick who were present, and then for a time, She prayed over all of us present with Her hands extended. She then blessed us all with Her Motherly Blessing, and She blessed all that you brought for blessing. I then recommended all of your needs, your intentions, your families, and especially all of the sick. A brief conversation between us followed. I spoke to Her and She spoke to me. And then I prayed with Our Lady an Our Father and a Glory Be. Our Lady then, in prayer in a sign of the Cross left, saying, “Go in peace my dear little children.”

The statue on Apparition Mountain was vandalized some time last night. The Community of Caritas members were told earlier through Marija, that the left arm and nose were broken. It has been reported to the police and is under investigation at this time.
