Special Edition October 7, 2017 A.D.
A friend of the Caritas Community presents the posters that a Friend of Medjugorje had designed to Pope John Paul II regarding the October 8, 2000 Entrustment. The Cross from Mt. Krizevac was the background of the poster. Pope John Paul II, looked intentely at the poster, read it, and lifted his hand in blessing.
The Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, announced that on October 8, 2000, he, along with the whole Universal Church, would make an Act of Entrustment of the next millennium to Mary, the Mother of God, the Queen of Peace. In the desire to see the Entrustment spread and known so that a greater number of people would join their prayers with those of the Holy Father and the world’s bishops, a Friend of Medjugorje, founder of Caritas of Birmingham, designed and printed posters that explained the importance of this event. Hundreds of posters were sent out to Our Lady’s followers who placed them in their Churches, parishes, schools and prayer groups around the United States and other countries. One poster was sent to a friend of Caritas who was in Rome. She was able to present it directly to Pope John Paul II in a private audience with him a couple of weeks before the date of the Entrustment. She was allowed to explain that this prayer movement was inspired through Medjugorje and that the Cross pictured was of Cross Mountain in Medjugorje. John Paul II looked intently at the poster, reading it and looking at the Cross, and then lifted his hand in blessing over it.
The Holy Father called for all the bishops of the world to come to Rome to join in entrusting the next 1000 years into the hands of the Most Holy Virgin Mary. This followed the three years of 1997, 1998, and 1999, in which He had named for Jesus the Son, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father, each in succession. Bishops from all over the world were present at the Entrustment. Marija, visionary from Medjugorje, was also present. On October 7th, Marija had asked Our Lady if She would appear earlier on the next day so that She could be present during the Entrustment. Our Lady responded to Marija:
Bishops of the world gathered at St. Peter’s for the October 8, 2000, Act of Entrustment of the next millennium to Our Lady.
Our Lady did not appear to Marija early during the ceremony, but all felt Her presence in a profound way, especially at one point in the Mass when the Holy Father said:
“Our Lady is present with us here,”
which was Our Lady’s words to Marija the night before.
The words of the Act of Entrustment to Mary say:
“…Here, then, are your children, gathered before you at the dawn of the new millennium. The Church today, through the voice of the Successor of Peter, in union with so many Pastors assembled here from every corner of the world, seeks refuge in your motherly protection and trustingly begs your intercession as she faces the challenges which lie hidden in the future…Today we wish to entrust to you the future that awaits us, and we ask you to be with us on our way. We are the men and women of an extraordinary time, exhilarating yet full of contradictions…To you, Dawn of Salvation, we commit our journey through the new Millennium, so that with you as guide, all people may know Christ, the light of the world and its only Saviour, who reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.”

This week, as we approach the 100th Anniversary Jubilee of the Fatima apparitions and the end of the reign of satan, while many across the world are joining a Friend of Medjugorje and the Caritas Community in a 9-day fast for Our Lady’s intentions, we have the confidence of Heaven through Our Lady, and that what was declared on Earth by the Successor of Peter seventeen years ago, is declared in Heaven.

March 25, 2009 Our Lady said “In this time of spring, when everything is awakening from the winter sleep, you also awaken your souls with prayer so that they may be ready to receive the light of the risen Jesus.” Hearing Her words my first thought was to a the spring time She had talked about, not to the season. May this “spiritual” spring time be led by Our Lady Queen of Peace to awaken all souls in the world from their winter sleep!

I am doing my best with the fast, but I find evil is very angry… yet Jesus helps… I say this prayer… Jesus My dear Saviour, give fill this vessel with your love, fill me with your wisdom, fill me with your strength, fill me with your perseverance, fill me with your humility, fill me with your courage, fill me with your passion .Amen. This is a prayer thought by Jesus himself… very powerful when you pray meditatively.
