It is Dangerous to Make Judgements

It is Dangerous to Make Judgements

November 5, 2019 A.D.

Our Lady said through Mirjana, November 2, 2019:

“Judge no one…”

What is meant by judge no one? A Friend of Medjugorje shares more.

Sheep, grazing in Medjugorje

Medjugorje November 2, 2019 – A black sheep, grazing with a herd of sheep, graze in one of the fields in Medjugorje.

What are we to make of the words of Our Lady, to, “Judge no one”? We know very much about judging by our own exprience at Caritas being judged wrongly, even by good people. A Friend of Medjugorje and Caritas have been the “black sheep” often, because of how strongly a Friend of Medjugorje speaks about the Medjugorje messages. A Friend of Medjugorje shares more in a letter he wrote to someone in 2006, about making these judgements:

It is dangerous to make judgments. It’s best to avoid doing so altogether, without a complete picture. It is a known truth that every leader will encounter slanders simply by the virtue of the position held. Anyone who takes a strong stance will be both loved and opposed. The shepherds drive the wolves from the sheepfold, for which the sheep thank the shepherd as a liberator, but for which the wolves denounce him for the same act, as a destroyer of the wolves’ liberties. You will not please everyone and more so if you are commissioned with a mission from God. We walk in a special way with Our Lady. We, therefore, will be persecuted, falsely judged, and looked on with suspicion.

– a Friend of Medjugorje, from Judge with Right Judgement

It is as a Friend of Medjugorje shared recently in the November 2, 2019, Radio WAVE broadcast, about something a Cardinal in Rome told him: “We have a lot of good people doing bad things.” We see that sometimes good people make wrong judgements. Following, is a valuable lesson to learn, not only for when this happens to us, but also that we do not do the same to others.

Once, Our Lady appeared to two children in La Salette, France. Pilgrims flocked to the apparition site. Not far away, just a few hours away actually, was a holy priest who often blessed pilgrims on the way to La Salette. This priest was a big promoter of La Salette – until he met the visionaries. By a misunderstanding, the priest, after meeting the visionaries of La Salette, believed that they were lying. He no longer blessed pilgrims going to La Salette. The priest would try to sway pilgrims from going to La Salette, and would tell them, “Why do to want to go there when you have Jesus here in the tabernacle?” Even when the Church finally approved the apparitions, while the priest would no longer speak against the apparitions, he did remain silent about them.

We share this story with you to illustrate that even good people can make bad judgements. What is remarkable about this story, is that the priest was not an ordinary priest. He was none other than St. John Vianney! Here was a priest who was not only good, but holy. Here was a priest who could read souls in a confessional, yet, he could not read that his experience with the visionaries of La Salette was simply a misunderstanding. A Friend of Medjugorje was once told by a priest in the early years of Caritas, that sometimes God allows adversity to spring up between two missions, to keep them separate from each other. Why did God allow this to spring up between St. John Vianney and the visionaries of La Salette? Only God knows.

We are not fazed when a good priest or a good person speaks against Medjugorje or the visionaries. Nor are we fazed in any way when a Friend of Medjugorje and Caritas are the targets. Nor when the target is someone trying to do good, like President Trump. While many of these people making these judgements may be sincere, they are sincerely wrong. Let these thoughts be in the forefront of your mind the next time you are about to make a judgement. Make a Friend of Medjugorje’s words your checklist: Do I have all the facts? Do I have all the information to judge without bias? And remember most importantly what a Friend of Medjugorje wrote above: It is best to avoid making judgements altogether.

  1. This is GREAT FOOD for me. I was instantly filled with this words. Thanks be to God for giving us a person, Friend of Medjugorje. The chapel I go to receive body and blood of Jesus daily the celebrant priest is kind of modernist and he is the one who gives me confession whenever I need. But his homilies do not agree with my traditional spirit. It’s hard, yet I pray for him daily… now the answer came. NOT TO JUDGE. Yes we must leave all in God’s hands. But WATCH AND PRAY.
