Is Your Seed Planted?

Is Your Seed Planted?

May 16, 2020 A.D.

Our Lady of Medjugorje said on December 2, 2011:

“I am with you so that with my love, prayer and example I may help you to become a seed of the future…”

Our Lady often gives messages which correspond to the seasons of the year. However, here, in December 2011, She is speaking of seeds? When you stop to reflect on it, it makes perfect sense.

One of the Caritas Community kids helps to plant grass

(Caritas photo taken Tuesday April 28, 2020, 5:26 PM) – Little Tony, helps to plant grass seed in a newly cleaned pasture. From the time they crawl, to when they are taking their first steps and beyond, the Caritas Community children are connected to God’s creation, especially the soil. This was part of a Friend of Medjugorje’s understanding even before being exposed to Medjugorje, that God desired for families to be connected closer to the land.

Why would Our Lady speak of seeds, during a season when most of the world is in a winter sleep? Her words speak to us about a “seed of the future.” What does this mean? Perhaps a few words from a Friend of Medjugorje will help us understand:

Throughout Church history and Salvation history, we can easily observe that different “springtimes” have only come about after the purification of a “winter.”

Are You Tired from the Journey?
– June 2001

A seed of the “future” goes through a period of winter sleep, purification and silence. The winter does not last forever, and will one day give way to spring. But, has your seed been planted?

A few weeks ago, while many were still “sheltered-in-place” we suggested that people get out of their houses and spend some time in the sun. Following are a few responses of what people did:

“Getting so much sunlight that our 5 year old told me that my skin is a different shade now! Enjoying God’s creation and learning to live off the land one step at a time.” – Carla

“We are staying outside… planting our garden and getting ready to build our first chicken coop. Loving this special time!!!!” – Katie

“So lucky in this period to have a large back garden… That’s my place of solitude and peace!” – Michael

Feel free to share with us in the comments below, what you are doing to get closer to God and closer to the soil.

  1. Yes, The Queen of Peace had planted a seed in my heart. It was either the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020 when a coworker lent me the book Big Q Little Q by a Friend of Medjugorje. There is a wonderful story behind the reason why he lent me the book, which is too long to write it in this comment. After I gave my coworker his book back, he brought me They Fire the First Shot written by a Friend of Medjugorje. Having to full time jobs it was difficult for me to find time to read. I did not want to keep his book too long but I wanted to read it, so I decided to log into Medjugorje. com and order it. I haven’t finish reading the book yet because I also read other books that I had ordered by the same writer. The seed was planted in winter and I can feel how is germinating in my heart. I Can feel how our Lovely Mother’s messages are providing everything that a seed needs to grow. I can feel how She want me to convert into a beautiful flower, so She can to take me to Her Son Jesus.

  3. I wish I could post a photo of the mail I have opened literally seconds before reading this….. Seeds for my garden!!!! Thankyou Heavenly Mother for the graces you have bestowed upon me & Thankyou for your special gift to us all of our Friend of Medjugorje who has helped me so much through publications. May God bless & keep you all safe xxx

  4. Been getting up early to walk, pray and watch the sunrise in the park next to my home. So peaceful and able to reflect on God’s goodness and Mary’s gentleness. The sunrises are always different everyday, some gentle some more intense, but always able to reflect on the depths of God’s love for us. God Bless You All–love Joanne

  5. I have put my name down for an English Allotment so we can grow more fruit and vegetables. We already have some growing in our garden but I think we should do yet more. My head hurts. I am so so so unworthy and really do not deserve to be saved for taking God’s Mercy for granted in the past. BUT I am listening to Our Lady. God Bless you all x
