“I Had a Revelation” – Historic Caritas Pilgrimage

October 23, 2020 A.D.

We have been sharing with the pilgrims, not only the history of what Our Lady has done here with a Friend of Medjugorje and his family, but also, the special sites and other special gifts which have deep meaning for us.

Pilgrims at the Grotto La Pluie, Caritas of Birmingham, October 22, 2020

(Caritas photo, Thursday, October 22, 2020, 9:45 AM) – On a beautiful morning, the pilgrims began their day climbing to the Grotto La Pluie, behind Caritas. The grotto is a natural cave in the mountain behind the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages. It was one of several places where a Friend of Medjugorje would go to pray. Years later, he, along with the Caritas Community placed a statue of Our Lady in the grotto.

Pilgrims Field of Apparitions, Prayer Group, Caritas of Birmingham, October 22, 2020

(Caritas photo, Thursday, October 22, 2020, 6:36 PM) – We ended the day at a special prayer group gathering in the Field. We shared with the pilgrims one of the many gifts that we have been blessed with over the years. About 50 first-class relics of Saints were placed on the altar in the Field, so that the pilgrims could spend time in prayer before them. Again, like other things we have done on this historic pilgrimage, this gift has never been shared outside the Community.

A Friend of Medjugorje’s encounter with the pilgrims was aired on the October 22, 2020, Mejanomics broadcast, Responsibility and Contentment. Here is testimony from a pilgrim after being a part of this encounter:

“This week has been amazing! I own a physical therapy business and could not figure out how to glorify God through my business. During the week, through prayer and discernment, I had a revelation (thanks to a Friend of Medjugorje’s talk). I have decided that when I return to work, I will ‘invite’ my patients to write down ANY prayer requests that they may have, and me and my entire staff will be praying every day for each intention. This will hopefully have a ‘bonus effect’ in that as my staff prays for these patients, it will draw them closer to God as well (whether they realize it or not). My plan is to consecrate EVERYTHING I have to God (my family, my business, myself). I am so grateful to Caritas and the Community. I has truly changed my life. It all started with the blue Pieta book.”

  1. I responded to the RadioWave show, Responsibility and Contentment on Friday afternoon under the Spiritual Nourishment section. So, I am going to make another comment about the content of the show. First, responsibility-the root of the word is response-God first wants us to respond to Him in a way that is with a genuine interest and love for Him. That love will deepen as we search our hearts and souls for Him. Then it becomes our responsibility to fulfill that depth of love first to Jesus and then to others. I believe that contentment becomes the result of our response-ability. Maybe in a way it can be a gift from God just like his gift of peace. Hope all went well. Take care-love Joanne
