It was a beautiful day today in Medjugorje. The temperatures ranged in the low 80’s with a strong cool wind throughout the day. Pilgrims began to slowly gather at the Blue Cross for Ivan’s Prayer Group Apparition at around 6:30 p.m. Those who gathered early, were blessed with a beautiful sunset as evening began to descend upon Medjugorje. The huge crowds began to arrive at around 8:30 p.m. and continued streaming in right up to the moment of the apparition. The Prayer Group began singing at around 9:00 p.m. Ivan announced at around 9:30 p.m. that we would be praying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. Our Lady appeared to Ivan at around 10:00 p.m. and the apparition lasted several minutes. The following is Ivan’s description of tonight’s apparition.

I would like to describe to you tonight’s meeting together with Our Lady. Also tonight Our Lady came to us joyful and happy. And as always at the beginning She greeted all of us with Her Motherly greeting, “Praised be Jesus, my dear children.” After that, for awhile, She prayed over all of us here present and then She prayed over all of those of you who are sick present here. Then She said:

“Dear children, also today I am calling you to perseverance in prayer. Pray, dear children, especially for perseverance in families. Today, I am praying together with you for families. I desire, dear children, holiness in the families; that there may be more holy families; those who will live, those who will pray, those who will live the words of my Son and my messages that I am giving to you. Thank you, dear children, also today for having responded to my call.”

After that, Our Lady blessed all of us with Her Motherly Blessing and blessed everything that we brought to be blessed. I recommended all of you, your needs, your intentions, your families. In a special way, I recommended all of you who are present who are sick and the priests. Then Our Lady continued to pray over all of us here. In that prayer, She left in an illuminated Sign of the Cross with the greeting, “Go in peace, my dear children.”

Early arrivals to the Blue Cross enter into prayer and meditation to await Our Lady the evening of Friday, August 12, 2016. We all live in a world in which we are surrounded by nonbelievers, even among those who go to church and who among our own families. Many say they are believers, but they do not live a life based in the principles of Jesus Christ. We live in a world in which there is no longer a clear line between right and wrong or good and evil for many people. So many are abandoning God, just as a Friend of Medjugorje wrote in 2011:

 

“We are all touched, believer and nonbeliever alike, by atheistic aspects the world has formed in us, even though we would count ourselves among the believers. Many Christians have eliminated the ‘Living God’ from their lives to ‘live their god’ as they want. The consequences from this is that they go the direction of the world, and the direction the world is ‘going’ is towards destruction. If you stay the course with the world, you will be in the world’s car when it crashes into the stone wall of God’s will. His ‘Will’ will prevail. All else will fall. This is why Our Lady has come. She has come for this triumph and it is why Our Lady said:

“…you decide…”

We have had 35 years of Our Lady’s apparitions on this very mountain where the Blue Cross is located in Medjugorje, and Our Lady continues to come each day to say to us, “…you decide…”
