Our Lady Queen of Peace of Medjugorje’s December 2, 2013
Apparition and Message Given through Mirjana on the Day for Nonbelievers

The following is the message Our Lady gave through Mirjana during her apparition:

“Dear children, with a motherly love and a motherly patience I am looking at your ceaseless wandering and how lost you are. That is why I am with you. I desire to help you to first find and come to know yourself, so that, then, you would be able to recognize and to admit everything that does not permit you to get to know the love of the Heavenly Father, honestly and wholeheartedly. My children, the Father comes to be known through the cross. Therefore, do not reject the cross. Strive to comprehend and accept it with my help. When you will be able to accept the cross you will also understand the love of the Heavenly Father; you will walk with my Son and with me; you will differ from those who have not come to know the love of the Heavenly Father, those who listen to Him but do not understand Him, those who do not walk with Him – who have not come to know Him. I desire for you to come to know the truth of my Son and to be my apostles; that, as children of God, you may rise above the human way of thinking and always, and in everything, seek God’s way of thinking, anew. My children, pray and fast that you may be able to recognize all of this which I am seeking of you. Pray for your shepherds and long to come to know the love of your Heavenly Father, in union with them. Thank you.”

I Beg to Differ

by A Friend of Medjugorje

Observing the culture of today by one who lived a couple of centuries ago, who was able to peer into the future to our time, would he have seen what Our Lady said in today’s message – people ceaselessly wandering and how lost man would become in our time? Observe that man, who graffles to make a living in a false way of profiting off nonexistent production. We are a world society that is top heavy, making money on paper rather than on what we produce. The pushing of paper, financing, investments, insurances, speculation, acquiring credits swapped into cash through supposed global warming, etc., etc., etc. Materialism of paper, a false illusion that seems real and actually does temporarily drive the economy, yet is more of a spirit, an evil spirit of consumerism, consumerism that is not substance but is a mentality of today’s heart which drives man to wanton wants, a system that is under judgment to crumble. The shopping, the malls, more stores than one can count in every locale. The useless wanderer, holding and using cell phones, in ceaseless use of them, even when one is driving; one’s thoughts are lost in the cerebral world, with little or no time given to God in hours devoted to the world’s ways and, by comparison, only a minute with God per day.

Many will not understand the words above in the depth of its meaning because of their ceaseless wandering inside gadgets of electronics that oppresses the thinking, enslaving their thinking, never allowing the light of the way God thinks to enter in their hearts. God is blocked out and, at minimum, mitigated by man who chooses not to talk, or communicate directly with his neighbor, but rather through a third party system, emails, texting, etc. One must pray, observe today’s society from the distance of another time, putting oneself in the shoes of someone who lived 200 years ago to grasp what is written here. Our Lady is close to us, yet from a distance what She sees in today’s man is a ceaseless wandering in darkness, his attention captivated by a false light which tantalizes him by its false glitter.

August 2, 2005

“…your heart is filled with false glitters and false idols…”

Our Lady wants man to know himself, to “recognize and admit everything that does not permit you to get to know the Heavenly Father.”

Worst yet, man does not know how lost he is in this electronic world and in consumerism and materialism. He doesn’t contemplate it, thinking nothing of it and its errors. He would scoff at what is written here. Yet, it is true. It is one of the major gods of today that far outrivals the Roman gods of the past. Electronic gadgets are worshiped. They are adored. They are prayed to in a spiritual communion, through constant communication throughout the day and because they are used in such a way, they become instruments of the devil. Man is controlled by electronics. Man is suppose to be in control of electronics. In our mission of Caritas, we are very advanced, yet we never let technologies control us, our time, our behavior, rather we control them, their time on us, and do not let them dictate our behavior. If one does not have wisdom, all the above is folly, will not be understood, even be absurd. But with an open heart of prayer, one can begin to recognize all the above and realize the “ceaseless wandering” and begin to see “how lost you are.” These mentioned physical realities are the manifestation of what is in the heart. So we can say our hearts ceaselessly wander and do not know how lost we are.

You cannot escape ceaseless wandering and being lost in the desert of today’s world. Conveniences and modernism bring to us a comfort that civilized nations and even those considered poor in these nations have at hand what kings did not have up to a couple of hundred years ago. Only by an honest check of your heart will you recognize we have built a whole new world without God, as if we are our own creators.

October, 1981

“…the West has made civilization progress, but without God, as if they were their own creators.”

Our Lady speaks clearly of the “new world” we have built and what we are inheriting.

January 25, 1997

“…You are creating a new world without God…”

We are a people of God, yet who have lost God and the true understanding of Who He is and the way He thinks, and therefore, what He thinks Our Lady spoke of today. Our Lady told us in 2011:

August 2, 2011

“… become a new people with my Son; a people who know that if they have lost God, they have lost themselves…”

Why is God sending His Mother every day? If we were honest, we would recognize that we have lost motherhood. Thrown it to the winds of useless chasing of materialism, careers, etc., only to find out when we wake up that women are lost, so lost they have lost their identity and therefore, man also. God sends Our Lady, not as a modern woman. Many women of our day are vile and lost, and therefore the whole society is such. In the Poem of the Man-God, Volume 5, Maria Valtorta writes what Jesus told her.

“As twenty centuries later you have to examine these pages [Jesus speaking of the Five Volumes of the Poem of the Man-God], when the wickedness of life has killed so much love, would you expect Me to give you a Mary of Nazareth similar to the arid superficial woman of your days? Mary is what She is, and the sweet, pure, loving Girl of Israel, the Spouse of God, the Virgin Mother of God cannot be changed into an excessively morbidly exalted woman, or into a glacially selfish one of your days.”

With the loss of God, things have gone our way for so long that we no longer understand the value of the Cross. We felt secure in man and his accomplishments. Now, however, many are uneasy, unsettled with this path we have been going down. Our character, our spiritual character, is not developed and matured when everything goes our way. Rather the opposite, when we carry the cross, which conversion brings, we then are purified and molded by trials which are necessary to grow in the process of conversion.

1 Peter 4:12-13

“Beloved, do not be surprised that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as if something strange were happening to you. But rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ so that when His glory is revealed you may also rejoice exultantly.”

When we reject our cross, complain about it, we reject what is good for us. When we become intimate with the Cross, through our trials, we gain an intimacy with God the Father.

How is it that we entered Advent, preparation for Christmas, and Our Lady speaks very strongly, not about the birth of our Savior, but rather only about the Cross? Was the birth of the Savior not filled with crosses? No room in the inn, giving birth in a stable with animals, the cold, Herod’s order to kill the Innocent, “Joseph, get up and take your wife and child to Egypt,” and these crosses continued throughout their lives to the moment Jesus was nailed to the Cross. Yet the intimacy of knowing God and walking with Him became much stronger through these crosses for Joseph and Mary and Jesus Himself.

Our Lady wants us to help those who do not know the love of the Heavenly Father and do not understand Him, by differing from them. It is a statement of great impact that we are to be “different from” but not “indifferent to” them. They must see us more distinctly, as different and separate. We are to convict, stand up to their wayward ways. Reject their way and not follow nor patronize their ways. We have too long submitted to their ways. On the website, No Moment of Silence.com, it is stated:

“We’ve walked into a situation now that we’re compromising with atheists. We’re not fighting them and their ways, we’re submitting to them and their ways.”

We are now called by Our Lady to “differ from those.”

Differ means:

1. Literally, to be separate. Hence, to be unlike, dissimilar, distinct or various, in nature, condition, form or qualities
2. to move apart
3. To disagree; not to accord; to be of a contrary opinion.
4. To contend; to be at variance; to dispute.

Not to accord? Look at how most Christians see major sins and yet stay in accord with those who we should separate from. For years we have written in our writing of three major events in the future that will happen:

1. There will be a great moment of radical conversion all across the earth.
2. There will be a great division of man across all the earth.
3. For the converted, one’s sole focus in life will be the conversion of the pagan.

Number two – a great division, a great separation will take place to be as Our Lady said:

June 2, 2013

“…to be in a community of one single people where the Word of God is listened to and carried out…”

The definition of “differs” says literally to be separate, to be unlike, move apart, to be at variances; to dispute. This is why Our Lady called, in 1988, for the Community of Caritas to be formed – a window to the future – a witness to those yet to be born.

Our Lady calls for this. Our Lady said today those who are most dangerous to you are “those who listen to Him (the Heavenly Father) but do not understand Him, do not walk with Him.” We are called to listen to the Word of God and carry it out. We are to differentiate our ways, our very selves from those who do not know Her, who do not know the love of the Father. This is worth repeating, that those most dangerous to our growing as a people of God in a way of life, a way of salvation, are as Our Lady says:

December 2, 2013

“…those who listen to Him but do not understand Him, those who do not walk with Him – who have not come to know Him…”

We have submitted and placated too long this most dangerous path of those who listen to Him but do not walk with Him. Yet, the Church walks with them, not in its word but its deeds, as Jesus said of the Pharisees, “do as they say, not as they do.” No Longer! Our Lady says:

December 2, 2013

“…you will differ from those!!!…”

Your communication with them is for the purpose of conversion to Our Lady’s way of life, not you connect or tolerate their way of life in your walk. We are to lead those to the Cross, dispute them by our way of life, separate from them and not be amalgamated or yoked with them. The present godless system is sustained by believers. It will fall when we separate from it and abandon it. We will join together for a new springtime, a second Pentecost, flourishing communities building a new culture connected intimately to their God. Through the Cross and only by the Cross. It is the spiritual monetary currency that has the purchasing power to buy a new culture, filled with communities across this nation and the nations of the world, reestablishing in the heart God’s kingdom on earth. We, as apostles, are its heralders. We are to deflect that which is not of God to turn everything into what is of God.

Since Our Lady blessed the Cross at Caritas on June 30, 2013, and we binded the United States of America to the Cross on July 4, 2013 in Our Lady’s presence, many have come to climb Penitentiary Mountain, passing in front of its 14 Stations and kneel before the Cross at the summit. Individuals, families, and people of different faiths have felt the grace at the foot of this Cross and have been moved, with more conviction, to differ. We invite you to come this Holy Season to do the same. Come to the Cross and kneel before it.

With Love,

A Friend of Medjugorje

Our Lady's apparition October 2, 2013

Mirjana in ecstasy at the Blue Cross in Medjugorje on October 2, 2012. For this month’s apparition, December 2, 2013, Mirjana gathered with thousands of pilgrims, also at the Blue Cross, for what was her final apparition of the year. Her next apparition, January 2, will be at the dawn of the New Year 2014. Looking back over the year at all the words Our Lady has given to us that have been conveyed to Her from the Heavenly Father, we must, during this season of Advent reflect upon our response to Our Lady. Have we been good students in Her school of love, or are we finding that we are having to repeat the same lessons over and over again?

Caritas Community Child

One of the little community girls, 4-year old Kylie, carries 10-month old baby James, who weighs just a few pounds less than Kylie does. Our Lady’s way of life in community fosters learning the lost vocation of “motherhood” at a very early age. Our Lady comes to bring us back to the Father. A Friend of Medjugorje writes,

“It is a time for love, Motherhood, and all that is encompassed by it. Our Lady so strongly wants this, knowing it is the path to remedy the family, and She stated in one of Her messages that She gives mothers Her Motherly Blessing and Jesus will bless the rest. This is unprecedented in that Our Lady has never singled out a group, separating it from others in this way. On December 19, 1985, She said:

“…I wish in a special way on Christmas Day to give mothers my own Special Motherly Blessing and Jesus will bless the rest with His own blessing…”

Little boys, little girls, teenage boys, teenage girls, and all men were not given this blessing. While they were not left out because they were given Christ’s blessing, something profound took place. A profound statement was made, as well as a profound blessing of Motherhood was given to mothers and mothers alone. Why? The world is very off course. Only good mothers will bring it back with the direction of good fathers who listen to God the Father on how to direct their families.”

From the writing of A Friend of Medjugorje, “The Importance of Motherhood”

Caritas Community Children

Community kids play around the second Station of the Cross during an evening climb to pray rosary at the Cross on Penitentiary Mountain. The Cross, built June, 2013, is part of our daily life in the Community of Caritas, rooted into our children at an early age. Be it at play, at prayer, or at work, the cross surrounds us. The Good Mother, Our Lady, wants to build a way of life that helps us to again come to know our Heavenly Father.

Our Lady said today, December 2, 2013:

“…My children, the Father comes to be known through the cross…”

Caritas Community Children Thanksgiving Day 2013

Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2013, in the Field at Caritas. Does the Cross seem out of place in this picture of children laughing and playing as they pull the wagon past it? How will children learn to accept, embrace, and love the Cross if they are always protected from it?

Caritas Children pulling pony Jack

Anyone who knows anything about horses knows that if a horse doesn’t want to move, any amount of pulling or pushing will do no good, hence the adage, “Stubborn as a mule.” Here some of our community children are pulling “Jack” over the small creek leading to the great Pine Tree in the Field of Apparitions at Caritas for Rosary time. Over the past year, as some of the smaller girls in the community became “of age” to begin riding horses, Jack became the object of their undivided attention, much to his dismay. He did not want to be trained. He did not want to “obey” commands. The girls learned what techniques work and what does not work in forming a horse to do the will of his master. Eventually, the girls won him over through their firm, tender care, even though they experienced his rejection time and time again. Jack finally discovered that a bucket of feed, sweet apples, and small hands petting and scratching just the right places were better than life on his own. Now when he sees a bunch of pig-tailed girls heading his way, he runs to greet them. Nature and all of God’s created things have much to teach us about walking the ways of Our Lady—that what we think is the cross is actually the road to joy.

Caritas Community Children with pony Jack

Little Rebekah starts off with an easy, comfortable ride on Jack the pony, but gets a big surprise when he starts to buck. So it is today, many continue to live comfortably without taking a good look at themselves to consider whether they are truly walking with God, and without wanting to recognize that serious trials are ahead of us.

Our Lady said today on December 2, 2013:

“…I desire to help you to first find and come to know yourself…”

Do you really know yourself? Are you deciding each day to change your life in walking more closely with Our Lady and drawing nearer to the Father? Or are you an “appeaser?” A Friend of Medjugorje writes:

“An appeaser deceives himself, imagining he can sit on the sideline and be left alone and not be bothered. He looks around and sees the price he would have to pay for opposing the enemy. He thinks of his comforts, his soft bed, and the peace that comes only with a full belly or not wishing to lose friends, and he is content to submit to the conqueror in order to be allowed to stay where he is. An appeaser understands the bargain he is making, “Let me be and I won’t be against you.” The appeaser rests upon his plan with expectations that the enemy will live up to his side of the bargain. History, both spiritual and secular, shows the appeaser is always crushed when the full force of the enemy’s will is imposed.”

From the August 2007 issue of Words of the Harvesters, Vol. #143 by A Friend of Medjugorje

Appeasers won’t have the spiritual and physical fiber to “hold on” when the horse starts bucking.

Caritas Community child at the feet of Our Lady

A favorite place for the 2- and 3-year-olds of the Caritas Community, who have learned to conquer the pile of rocks leading up to Our Lady’s statue, is just to sit under Her mantle. Having made the strenuous climb on hands and knees, sometimes experiencing a pinched finger or a scraped knee that causes tears, they feel they have accomplished a great feat and take delight sitting at a higher vantage point from which they normally do not get to view the world. Our Lady has never asked us to accept the Cross alone. Even today She has said, “That is why I am with you.” We can rest under Her mantle even while we scale difficult mountains. But what She promises when we have scaled the summit leading to the Cross is the knowledge, wisdom and love of the Father and the Son.

Cross at Caritas in Fall Colors

The Cross stands out amidst the fall colors among the mountains surrounding our valley at Caritas. There is a comfort that the Cross brings—despite whatever great trial we may be enduring. The Cross says to us that we have a God who loved us so much that He suffered and died for us to prove to us that He understands how hard life can be sometimes. Our Lady said today,

“…When you will be able to accept the cross you will also understand the love of the Heavenly Father…”

In regard to the cross, A Friend of Medjugorje wrote:

We hear from many from all walks of life, and the pattern is that those who are praying the most, loving the most, trying to walk straight the most, are, in turn, suffering the most. Why? Because sanctification means to unite ourselves with Christ and to be transformed in him, and in order for that to happen, we must trace His life. Jesus himself leads us on this path to follow Him.

Matthew 16:24
If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up “his” cross and follow me.

Therefore, there is no other way. It is necessary to, lovingly and without complaining, embrace your suffering by taking “one’s” own cross. Jesus said take up “your cross,” not His.

There once was a man who complained bitterly about his cross to anyone who would listen. He had a dream that he was talking to an angel and was complaining about his cross. It was too heavy. He couldn’t bear it any longer, He didn’t want that cross. Suddenly he and the angel were in a huge place in the clouds, except it was like a warehouse with long aisles and shelves stocked very high. Upon the shelves were crosses: big ones, small ones, all kinds, millions of them. The angel told him he could trade his in, so he gave it to one of the angels working there. The angel led the man down the aisle where he began to try out other crosses. He tried this one and said, “I don’t like this one.” And then another and stated it was too heavy. Another was too complicated. Aisle after aisle he searched. Finally he came to one and said, “Oh, this is the one. It fits perfectly. I’ll take this cross.” Upon which the angel said, “This is the cross you just turned in.”

From the writing, “I Don’t Like My Cross,” by A Friend of Medjugorje

Cross at Caritas

Six out of 12 months this year, Our Lady has mentioned the Cross in Mirjana’s apparitions. This is without precedence in 32 years of apparitions that Our Lady has been so focused on the Cross. This is particularly meaningful to the Community of Caritas as this has been the Year of the Cross, in seeing the realization of a plan in the heart of our founder that goes back more than 20 years in constructing a Cross on the mountain overlooking our valley. The year 2013 will be known as the year we bound the United States of America to the Cross of our Redeemer in the presence of Our Lady during the July 4, 2013 apparition. Prior to that Our Lady had an apparition at the Cross, on June 30, 2013, and blessed it, making the Sign of the Cross over it in a beautiful apparition that began the Five Days of Prayer, July 1-5, 2013. (A Friend of Medjugorje), Once again, your inspired words are so full of truth. Thank you and all of the community members of Caritas for your tireless efforts in bringing the messages to us! We are working to establish a community of believers here in the Decatur/Hartselle/Cullman AL area. We look forward to establishment of the website so we can find others who may have the same interest. May God bless you and everyone in the community during this Advent season! May the peace of Christ and the love of Mary our Loving Mother be with you all! John

  2. Thank you Caritas community and Friend of Medjugorje for leading the way in our redemption toward eternal salvation and providing hope in these difficult times with so much evil in the world around us. You remind us that we must each take up our own cross and follow the Lord. Our Lady is showing us the way to her Son. I was so blessed to be in Caritas and climbed Penitentiary Mountain to see, feel, & kneel before the Cross on July 4, 2013. It was truly a deep spiritual experience that I will never forget.

  3. Beautiful and intimate Message as usual. A clear voice ringing out the importance of the Cross for all the world to hear, especially to us, who are listening. Love You Dearest Mother. Glaphyra
