Our Lady Queen of Peace of Medjugorje’s April 2, 2013
Apparition and Message Given to Mirjana on the Day for Nonbelievers

Medjugorje has been receiving a lot of rain for the past month. Last night and this morning it was the same. It rained so much throughout the night and early morning, that Mirjana’s apparition was not at the Blue Cross but in a room in her pansion. The rain did not stop several thousand pilgrims from all over the world from coming to pray and be with Our Lady. The rain was continuous throughout the morning, many times coming down in a torrential downpour. The road in front of Mirjana’s pansion had a river running down half of it because of so much rain. The pilgrims that continued to arrive even up to the moment of the apparition, had to walk through the sometimes ankle deep water to get to the position they were seeking to settle down and prayerfully prepare to be in Our Lady’s presence. When Our Lady appeared to Mirjana, She stayed with her for several minutes. After the apparition, most of the pilgrims stayed in a quiet disposition waiting to hear the words that Our Lady spoke today on this day designated for prayer for non-believers. Following is Our Lady’s April 2, 2013 message given on the day for non-believers:

“Dear children; I am calling you to be one with my Son in spirit. I am calling you, through prayer, and the Holy Mass when my Son unites Himself with you in a special way, to try to be like Him; that, like Him, you may always be ready to carry out God’s will and not seek the fulfillment of your own. Because, my children, it is according to God’s will that you are and that you exist, and without God’s will you are nothing. As a mother, I am asking you to speak about the glory of God with your life because, in that way, you will also glorify yourself in accordance to His will. Show humility and love for your neighbor to everyone. Through such humility and love, my Son saved you and opened the way for you to the Heavenly Father. I implore you to keep opening the way to the Heavenly Father for all those who have not come to know Him and have not opened their hearts to His love. By your life, open the way to all those who still wander in search of the truth. My children, be my apostles who have not lived in vain. Do not forget that you will come before the Heavenly Father and tell Him about yourself. Be ready! Again I am warning you, pray for those whom my Son called, whose hands He blessed and whom He gave as a gift to you. Pray, pray, pray for your shepherds. Thank you.”

We learn from the school of Our Lady today several things:

• Our own will and God’s will are in contradiction
• Seek God’s will, making your will God’s will; otherwise you will be separated from God. His will vs. your will
• When not in God’s will, all other relationships will be strained, damaged, less than what they could be, or destroyed all together.
• The fulfillment of your own will, will lead you to not be fulfilled.

Nuns used to teach that if God quit thinking of you for just a second, you would not exist, nor would anyone have a memory of you. You would vanish into nothingness as Our Lady said today,

“…it is according to God’s will that you are and that you exist, and without God’s will you are nothing…”

You may still exist, but without God, you are nothing. You become somebody when in God’s will. As His sons, you therefore are somebody, and Our Lady says an amazing thing:

“…I am asking you to speak about the glory of God with your life because, in that way, you will also glorify yourself in accordance to His will…”

In 1988 when Marija was here in the Bedroom of Apparitions, one Franciscan of Medjugorje had a big problem with a message Our Lady gave here. Our Lady said:

November 26, 1988

“…If you pray for my intentions, I will be glorified through you…”

We were told this message was a problem theologically because Our Lady would not seek to be glorified. We responded, then why do we have the 4th ‘Glorious’ mystery, the Assumption, and the 5th ‘Glorious’ mystery, the Crowning of Mary in the Rosary? If that message gives theological intellectualism a challenge, what then of Our Lady telling us, we who are nothing next to God, that in His will we “become”, as She says:

“…that you ‘are’…”

As God is “I Am,” we “are.” In His will you will:

“…glorify yourself.”

This will happen not by talk or through words, nor by show, but by your life, “with” your life,

“…you will also glorify yourself in accordance to His will.”

This, no doubt, viewed from the intellectually minded with theology will give trouble for those who are like minded with the Franciscan when Our Lady gave the November 26, 1988 message, seen above, from the Bedroom of Apparitions here at Caritas.

If one cannot accept that God wants to glorify Our Lady, one could not accept:

“…you will also glorify yourself in accordance to His will.”

Humility is the only path that we can set out upon that will lead to the opening Jesus made to the Heavenly Father. Love of neighbor are the steps down the path. As Jesus opened the door for us to the Heavenly Father, we are to be Jesus to others, opening the hearts of others that have been damaged through broken families, dysfunctional families, hatred in the family, bad examples of the parents in the family, families whose only goal is materialism, families without any religious belief or with erred beliefs through which their children have not come to the Father and therefore do not know the Heavenly Father’s love for them. Many wander in search of the truth but in vain. The truth of the Father’s love has been destroyed by a society that has indoctrinated us with the lie that the father in the home is insignificant, not necessary, that his authority should be ignored, disregarded or even defied. The crisis in those who do not know the love of God is very much related to minimizing the manly example and good witness of the father of the family.

Dear Friends of Medjugorje,

I recently have read a book “How to Change Your Husband”. I found it in the internet and I thought it would be quite interesting to read it. I MUST say the book was much more then I expected. Recently there are so many divorces because of some trivial things sometimes that I desired to find some explanation for it. The book answered all my questions about marriage and family problems and encouraged me to be submissive. Before I did not know it is so important. My parents divorced and my mother made all the mistakes mentioned in the book, so after reading the book I could clearly see the reasons for their divorce. I am GRATEFUL that I know English and therefore I could read the book which became a blessing for my marriage. I can now see clearly my mistakes and I can work on improving my relations in the family. Honestly all women should read it. Afterwards we can really and with awareness live according to the vows ‘for better and for worse.’ It is especially important to
remember to be together for worse. Nowadays, people are eager to encourage to divorce but all the people have to remember that they take resposibility for the split family and for the broken lives of the children. We can’t forget that being a Catholic means to carry our cross and also the cross of our marriage, just like Jesus did to the very end. This is the only way.

We hear constantly about the man of the family leaving, not paying his child support, a bum, and on and on, but in fact this is defined and made so by a feminized society – society dominated by the woman. Many do not want to hear such, nevertheless, it doesn’t change that we have become a feminized culture. Everything surrounds the woman; everything goes to the woman and through the woman, yet she suffers, is abused and has lost a great, very great amount of dignity. Women shelters are evil bastions of this philosophy, an evil destruction of any hope to help the family heal. Therefore, many who could come to know the Heavenly Father through a father in the home will not. Adam Lanza, the Newtown, Connecticut shooter, while an extreme example, tells us something important about the loss of the father in the home. This doesn’t necessarily pertain only to the physical absence of the father, but also concerns the father who remains in the home but who is made to be insignificant to the children. The book, How to Change Your Husband, downloadable for free, shows this truth as to why many, as Our Lady says, “wander in search of the truth.”

The father is a truth. The mother is a truth. There is no other arrangement that can be made for the family. Roles are important. Our Lady on the 2nd of the month constantly elevates the Heavenly Father in order to elevate the earthly father. Society, Hollywood and Christians themselves have feminized men, thinking marriage can be feminized, and that children can be raised in this environment without danger to their souls. It is a cancerous prevailing mentality. This is so beyond insane that it now it now leads to what is abominable. We have created an abominable world, and we tolerate what is intolerable, the feminization of man. Much worse, abomination now manifests worldwide. Stupidly, in our present day, we go to the Supreme Court to define whether or not we can have a feminized family of abominables. The United States Supreme Court, the European Union, the United Nations, the judges, politicians and activists across the world have not the least authority to define or redefine marriage. It is already defined by God. It is framed only one way: one man, one woman. It is God’s will, and it is to glorify God. It is unchangeable as we are—“are” and God is—“I Am,” His will. Any other arrangement is not God’s will and does not exist with any truth. Any ruling, mandate, or edict passed as law is invalid and in vain. It is nothing, because it is apart from God and God’s will. We don’t need the United States Supreme Court to give us any kind of ruling. They, in fact, have no jurisdiction to speak or rule. What God has put together no man has authority to alter. It is arrogance that society even will look to the Supreme Court for its judgment. It is God’s will, His judgment we are to always seek. Everything else is nothing.

Lastly, so much talk is against the authority of the Church, its shepherds and other spiritual shepherds that Our Lady says:

“Again I am warning you…”

Why is it that every month Our Lady refers to the shepherds? Our Lady is very much aware of the present problem, but it is not ours to fix. If we fix the ‘father’ authority in the home, the ‘father’ problem will also be fixed in the Church. Our Lady said:

January 2, 2013

“…my Son has chosen them and only He has the right to judge.”

We must remember Medjugorje is a “great plan” delivered from Heaven for the “salvation of the world” (January 25, 1987); a plan that is through the laity; a plan to bring the Church into a new springtime; a plan which is implemented and governed from the bottom up, not implemented and governed from the top down. Many in authority have not been illuminated about Medjugorje because God has blocked it. Why? Because the Church will be rebuilt just as Jesus first built it 2,000 years ago—through regular men who became the apostles, just as Our Lady has repeatedly, through Her Medjugorje messages, called you. The Church today is too intellectual. God cannot deliver this plan through the hierarchy. It doesn’t mean they are guilty of anything, and this is why Our Lady has warned us not to judge situations. There are situations in which God withholds the light of the Medjugorje plans, so that those plans can be organic and implemented from the bottom up, unimpeded by ages of layered thoughts too hard to penetrate which would prevent God’s plan through Our Lady, through Medjugorje, to prevail across the world. The Light is withheld for a purpose. Few understand this. Our Lady said:

February 2, 2013

“…I will implore the Heavenly Father for the light of eternal truth and love to illuminate you. Pray for your shepherds so that through your fasting and prayer they can lead you in love…”

Many of the shepherds are not guilty of what many think they are. It is part of God’s plan to implement Medjugorje. Many shepherds will see this, perhaps too late, as Gamaliel did.
But they will see. It is enough that all we are to do is pray because the price that will be paid for all who do not accept Our Lady is predicted by Our Lady,

August 25, 1997

“…now you do not comprehend this grace but soon a time will come when you will lament for these messages.”

We therefore, in the mean time, are to listen to Our Lady, and witness with our lives, glorifying God.

Andrea Pipp's Grave

On Easter morning, members of the Caritas community gathered around the grave of 27-year-old Andrea Pipp and her 4-month old baby who died in her womb when she succumbed to a brain tumor a year ago. Easter, for the Caritas Community, has taken on a deeper meaning since the death of our beloved Andrea who died last year on Palm Sunday and was buried just days before Easter. Having been diagnosed with a brain tumor two years before, the community began the long journey that so many have experienced when a loved one is threatened by a killing cancer. There is the will to fight, on both a physical and spiritual level, to believe God can heal, but at the same time be willing to let go if God chooses not to heal the physical body, but only the soul. It was a painful passage, but the bitterness was made sweeter by walking this path with Our Lady who knows best how to comfort those in sorrow and distress. If you haven’t read this account entitled, “Learning How to Die,” you’ve missed a true story that will move you deeply as to how Our Lady is showing us everything, even how we are to die and be buried.

Andrea's kids with her picture

This was Easter a year ago, in the Field, with Anthony and Andrea’s children around the picture of their mother who had passed away just a week earlier. The gift given to the family of Andrea and the community last year was that we walked the last days of this journey with her during the week of the remembrance of Jesus’ last painful days leading to His death and burial—but also His resurrection. Easter was experienced in the certainty that Andrea’s life was well-lived, that she had followed the will of God in her life, and that she was now enjoying the reality of Heaven. A year later, though the sorrow of missing her remains, we cherish the memories of our Passion Week with Andrea, knowing that she is close to us, encouraging us to fulfill the will of God in our lives that we may one day experience the Easter of our own souls. Again, we invite you to reminisce with us the beauty of her parting. Visit here…

1986

“If you would abandon yourselves to me, you will not even feel the passage from this life to the next life. You will begin to live the life of Heaven on earth.”

Caritas Kids pointing to the Easter bunny

Gathered around Our Lady’s statue in the Field while the community prayed the Rosary on Easter morning, something fluttering in the wind a distance away caught the children’s attention. Could it be the Easter Bunny? They were certain it was. One of the sacrifices that the whole community makes every Lent, including all the children, is to give up sweets—that means also pancake syrup, jelly, sweetened cereals, etc. There is no complaining from the children—they know this is just a part of our lives. But even at that young age, by “will”ingly giving up the foods they most like, when Easter arrives, they also experience a heightened joy of receiving back what they had given up. Parents have the responsibility to train children, even at very young ages, to follow the will of those in authority, over their own wants and desires. In training their children, they will one day be able to teach them the principles of the faith. If children are never trained and disciplined to act correctly—even if they don’t understand “why” they are told to do something, they will never be teachable. Today our culture is filled with unteachable, undisciplined, lazy, selfish youth who have been given everything they ever wanted, but who are never satisfied. This is not the fault of the youth, but of bad parenting. They will have a difficult time following the directives Our Lady has given today.

Beginning of 1989

Our Lady again asked for prayers for young people:

“Dear children, I again ask you to pray for all the young people of the world because they find themselves in a difficult situation. You can help them with your love and prayers of the heart.”

Caritas couple, child and flowers

Small flowers covering the Field were picked by little hands and made into a spring bouquet as a gift to a community mother this Easter morning. Dad has his own little bunch to give. Like father, like son. Today, April 2, 2013, Our Lady said,

“…Show humility and love for your neighbor to everyone. Through such humility and love, my Son saved you and opened the way for you to the Heavenly Father. I implore you to keep opening the way to the Heavenly Father for all those who have not come to know Him and have not opened their hearts to His love…”

It is in the design of God’s plan that the best way to exemplify this “humility and love” that opens “the way for you to the Heavenly Father” is through the family, through the love of the father and mother towards each other first, and then to the children. Children, watching their parents love, serve, help, pray for and support each other learn of the goodness of our Heavenly Father and how much He wants to love, help and support His creatures—and how much they can count on Him to do so.

Caritas kids ready to hunt Easter eggs

It is a Caritas tradition that after our Rosary in the Field that honors Our Lady during the time She is visiting the earth, the community regroups across the street halfway up to the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages, and lines the children up according to their ages—youngest to oldest—for the big Easter Egg hunt. As you can tell by their faces, this is serious business. They each choose a partner, either a parent or one of the single consecrated men or women. The community’s traditions are grafted into our faith and walk with Our Lady. They are filled with life and joy because of grace that comes from living a life where God is at the center. A Friend of Medjugorje writes about this in his booklet, As Go God’s People So Goes the World.

“The future for the true Christian is filled with promise and hope. Ever expanding culture brings a satisfying contentment, where man is not always looking back, but is joyed at the prospect of tomorrow. This is the building of culture, and it gives evidence of itself. No one has to tell you, it makes itself known. As culture grows, man does what he does in a natural way. He does not do it with great and lofty thought or showy spectacles, striving for effects. His work, his duty, his feast days are real. Feast days are real celebrations because it is time for celebration. His accomplishments aren’t celebrated, rather the result of his accomplishments are, and by all. When it is not centered on what man has done, it is then centered on what God has done for man. Today, parades, fall festivals, city festivities, etc. are devoid of life, carried out with pomp or motivated without sentiment as to its purpose a performance where the heart is missing, as in an empty husk without corn, a hull without seed, a shell without a nut, to give the appearance of joyous celebration as a husk does to corn, a hull to a seed, or shell to a nut. These things are done and participated in without understanding why they are done, and they give appearance of growth of life, when in actuality something is gravely wrong and very sick. Mardi Gras in New Orleans and other places around the world, marking the beginning of Lent, is a prime example. Man celebrates something that is no longer of God, but now of man, and it has become obscene, nay, beyond obscene.”

 Caritas kids racing
This is not just serious business for the children, but the adults are equally enthusiastic and competitive in the race to find the eggs. The little ones always get a head start so they can find a few eggs on their own before the older and faster children arrive. The joy of the Community comes from Easter, the Resurrection of our Lord, the hope of Heaven, not from the treats, not from the desire for indulgence or material gain. If in the future we must live through times of scarcity and deprivation, we will still find a way to celebrate Easter—and still have joy and fun, quite possibly more than what we experience today. A Friend of Medjugorje continues:

“Though we are a minority, perhaps even less than five percent, it is all that is needed to cause a complete change in the world — a revolution that is through the heart. Everyone else, who desires good, will follow, just as those of Rome did, starting 2000 years ago, which changed the whole world. We are going to be given, by God, the reins of rebirth to convert the world, to create a new culture, by our witness and God’s grace, to rule over the impious. We are to rule, not by the earthly kingdom of the ballot box, but by the authority of God Himself! This is why all impurity must be cleansed from us, why God will be severe with us. We are called to a mission, to advance across the world. It is purely spiritual, a renewal of man, a new dawn for him. It is coming. The day draws nearer and nearer. God is going straight to His people to try by fire first, for it is they who will enlighten the world. This will happen only when nothing defiled is in our hearts, only when our hearts are as pure as the filaments of the stars.”

From A Friend of Medjugorje’s writing, As Go God’s People So Goes the World

Zia Brooke and Baby James

When the Caritas Community was first forming many years ago, our founder wanted the children to show a sign of respect in addressing them, but not so formal as to overshadow the special friendship that the consecrated had with the children. Instead of addressing them as “sir” and “ma’am”—the consecrated are called “Zia” for the women and “Zio” for the men. These words actually mean “aunt” and “uncle” in Italian, which is more of what the relationship is like with the consecrated. This is the building of culture in our own community. It forms bridges of the heart between the children and adults, between the consecrated and the married who join together to form a wall of protection around the children through witness and love. When Zia Brooke took Baby James out of the arms of his mother and entered the egg race this Easter morning, some looked upon her with a little bit of suspicion. Baby James’ diet consists solely on mama’s milk. It didn’t help Zia Brooke’s case knowing that she has a penchant for chocolate.

Community Caritas child Faith with Our Lady

Because of a forecast of rain showers all day on Easter, Jesus had the Easter Bunny hide the eggs amidst the printing presses, book binder machine, folders and cutters in Our Lady’s print shop in the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages. Our Lady always finds Her way into all our activities, as much in our fun as in times of our prayer and in our sorrows. Only good things are found in the hands of Our Lady.

March 18, 2008

“Dear children, today I extend my hands towards you. Do not be afraid to accept them. They desire to give you love and peace and to help you in salvation. Therefore, my children, receive them… I will be with you and my hands will hold you. Be persevering so that, at the end of the way, we can all together, in joy and love, hold the hands of my Son. Come with me; fear not. Thank you.”

  1. A beautiful ”THANK YOU” to ”OUR BLESSED MOTHER” TO PRAY FOR ”HER” intentions, and I know that She is looking after that young mother that passed away just before Easter of last year along with her unborn baby in her womb. I too lost my mother at a very young age and have felt the presence of the”BLESSED MOTHER” in my life especially in these last few years. I know She has been with me and my family for a long time now especially in very difficult times, I love ”HER” very much, thanks for all of the above stories that have been shared.

  3. A very beautiful and strong Message by Our Blessed Mother, along with a friend of Medjugorje’s concrete examples to live them fully well. Thanks a million Mother! Thankyou dear friend of Medjugorje!

  4. That was a wonderful romp around the Caritas grounds – thanks for sharing the joy of Easter with us! It did my heart good to hear again that God withholds the light of the Medjugorje plans in some situations – that is to make sure the plans are ‘organic’ and implemented from the bottom up. A good reminder for the humble who may need a bit of reassurance that by their witness and God’s grace we can change the world! Praying for all of you. He is Risen! Alleluia!

  5. Thanks for sending Our Lady’s latest message. Yes! I know about Andrea, the brave and loving Angel who died with her little baby. My heart sank, but knowing she and her baby was with Our Lord but relieved. Like to know about her husband and children. Hope there be an Angel to look after him and the children. May God Bless You All!

  6. Thank you. I always think God has created you very beautiful and pious. Your house, family, children, and your place is blessed, because you are blessed and good. I wish to thank you. Please do pray. God bless you all.

Words cannot express what I feel in my heart at this moment. The love of parents, children, and friends, Andrea and her precious baby with her, and God waiting for them with open arms. How beautiful. God is great.
