Our Lady said on May 25, 2018:
Eternity begins on the earth. Jesus leads us to eternity, a path which He Himself walked, and which comes through the Cross.
BVM Caritas Medjugorje pilgrims climb Cross Mountain in Medjugorje, on the morning of May 31, 2018. How many feet, wearied because of the journey of life have stepped on these same rocks? How many hearts crushed by the weight of sorrows, have found relief in walking the path of Jesus?
The magnitude of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross is such that simply to walk it in union with Him is relief for our hearts. How is that possible? Our Lady gives a glimpse of this in Her message of May 25, 2018 by Her words: “…in the silence of your heart, Adore my Son Jesus…”
How does this work? A Friend of Medjugorje sheds more light on how this works:
“…Suffering often is accompanied with humility. Humility causes us to come in union with God. Therefore, tribulation has purpose and value when we reflect upon God…”1
Just simply to reflect on what God has done for us, in union with our suffering makes us humble. This brings us close to God, Who is peace. We then receive peace and a lifting of the weight on our hearts. We realize that we are not good as Our Lady’s words of December 2, 2017, tell us:
The suffering in our lives removes arrogance, brings us to call upon God, and then, adoring Jesus in the silence of our hearts, we are walked through the path of the Cross to eternity, which begins on the earth. Whatever the weight one may be carrying, simply adoring Jesus in the silence of your heart is enough the lift the burden. Why carry it alone and why continue to hold onto it? Eternity is waiting for you, here on the earth and hereafter in the light of Heaven.
