Tonight, Friday, August 20, 2010, the apparition to Ivan took place on Apparition Mountain in Medjugorje. Several thousand people were present. Several Rosaries were being prayed throughout the crowd, as is usual for the mountain apparitions. When the announcement came that it was time to begin to prepare for Our Lady’s apparition, flashlights were extinguished, and all the pilgrims present began to sing in unison. The first song that was sung was an Italian version of the American song, “I Can Sing of Your Love Forever,” a beautiful opening to prepare for the Queen of Peace, Who is the Love of God.*
The apparition to Ivan began a little before 10:00 P.M., and the apparition lasted around ten minutes. Below is Ivan’s description of what took place:
Tonight, the most important from the meeting with Our Lady was that Our Lady came, She was very happy and joyful. She greeted us as always by saying “Praised be Jesus my dear children.” Our Lady then prayed for a longer time with Her hands extended over us present. She then blessed us all with Her Motherly Blessing. She blessed all the religious articles brought for blessing, and then Our Lady prayed for a while especially for the conversion of sinners and for families. Ivan recommended all us, our needs, intentions, our families and especially all the sick, and those who especially recommended themselves to our prayers. Our Lady then continued to pray with Her hands extended over all of us here. She prayed for the sick and She also prayed over the priests present. Then Our Lady left in an illuminated Sign of the Cross saying, “Go in peace my dear children.”
Ivan accentuated that for a longer time Our Lady prayed over all of us, for conversion of sinners and for families.
Tonight, August 20, 2010, one of many families climbed Apparition Mountain to be with Our Lady in Her apparition to Ivan. Who are the people who come to Medjugorje? They are people like you and me, who live in families, work in businesses, doctors, teachers, construction workers, computer technicians, the youth, the handicapped, the very old and the very young, Italians, Americans, Australians, Koreans—the whole world comes to Medjugorje. But Our Lady, somehow, sees us individually, even when there are tens of thousands gathered with Her on the mountain. Everyone has a story of a personal grace received from The Mother in Medjugorje. Our Lady once said that She comes “from the people.” She is one of us. She is among us. She has come to help us.
There are many priests in Medjugorje this week. Many of these priests received their vocation while visiting Medjugorje as a pilgrim. It is a beautiful thing to hear their testimonies of how they fell in love with Our Lady, who then led them to recieve their vocation to become a priest. These new priests will join the lay led movement of Medjugorje for the salvation of the world. Our Lady is renewing the priesthood calling. She is teaching men how to foundation their priesthood upon living the Mass throughout the whole day which encompasses Mass, Adoration, frequent confession—hearing confession after every Mass, fasting and mortification, and the recitation of all four mysteries of the Rosary everyday. The four hours of prayer She asked for each day! All for Her. Our Lady is raising up Her children, which include laity and priests, for the time that is coming—the time of spring, the time of the New Evangelization.

Our Lady has been coming every day for 29 years to bless the world. A Friend of Medjugorje has said this blessing Our Lady brings everyday drives out evil. However, paralleling this is what Our Lady revealed about satan losing his power. She said to Mirjana in December, 1982, “… Even now he is beginning to lose his power and has become agressive…” Quoting A Friend of Medjugorje, “It is why the time is coming in which everything not of God must fall in our society, because evil cannot remain where Our Lady is. She faces the world head on, teaching us, in doing so, not to be afraid.” What should we do when the devil starts attacking? We should follow the example of little children when they are afraid. They get behind their mother. When we stand behind Our Mother, we know we have nothing to fear.
8:12 PM – Pilgrims crowd together preparing to be as close to Our Lady as possible. The Queen sits at His right hand, arrayed in gold. This was the responsorial psalm from the feast of Our Lady’s Assumption, celebrated this week on August 15. In just a few short days, on August 22, the feast of Our Lady’s Queenship will be celebrated. With Our Lady’s birthday, August 5, remarkably we see the month of August witnessing almost the entire life of Our Lady, from Her birth, to Her death, to Her Queenship in Heaven. She is the Queen arrayed in gold. Tonight, in Medjugorje, the spectacular colors of the sunset casted a gold hue over Medjugorje. And the Queen’s subjects were present, kneeling before Her, to receive Her benediction that they may spread the kingdom of love throughout the entire world.
A rainbow of lights form on Apparition Mountain tonight, August 20, as pilgrims make their way down the mountain after the apparition of Our Lady. Where else in the world can you see a scene like this? It takes hours for everyone to get down from the mountain, and though the hour is late and the pilgrims are tired, so much joy, happiness, singing, laughing, and praying can be heard among all the paths the pilgrims are walking. What is the source of such joy? For those who have experienced being with Our Lady on Her mountain, there are no words that can adequately express what fills the heart. For those who have not had the experience, you can be on your knees at Apparition time anywhere in the world and ask for Our Lady to accept your intentions as if on the mountain. Also, pray Our Lady brings you to Medjugorje. She has the grace to give this to you.

I also see the rosary in the picture. I went in l987 and the peace and joy I experienced were unexplainable. I pray to Our Lady daily and wish everyone could experience the joy and peace I found.
I want to have an experience of this apparition personally. Is it possible for a sinner like me whose efforts to permanently leave sin have been to no avail?
I have a medal of our Holy Mother that was blessed when Marjia was in Birmingham. I have carried it with me everyday for 2 years. It is a daily reminder that our Mother is with me and my children protecting us and guiding us to Christ her son. I am envious of those selected who are able to see the Blessed Mother first hand. If only I were so special.

I went to Medjugorje in 2007. I was not able to climb apparition mt. I have a fear of heights. I pray for another chance in my lifetime to honor my Holy Mother. I was in Medjugorje in March of 2001, and every time I see pictures of Medjugorje I get the same feeling of being there myself again. And this feeling of all of mankind being one family.
This site is so beautiful. I have never been to Medjugorje but I have been to Caritas In Ala. to me It is the same. Where Mary is I want to be. Thank You for all the hard work you are doing to bring Our Lady to us I know Jesus is pleased with all of you.
