Her Words Illuminate

Mary’s Eve in the Field of Apparitions at Caritas of Birmingham, August 4, 2019 – Our Lady is illuminated with candlelight, as a Friend of Medjugorje and the Caritas Community, along with other pilgrims gather to pray the Marian Mysteries, in vigil of Our Lady’s birthday, praying for the gift to give Our Lady a great gift: a sinless day on Her birthday. Our Lady is always our first example of illuminating with the light and wisdom of Her words. A Friend of Medjugorje has taught since starting Caritas over 33 years ago, that Our Lady’s words are the most valuable possession that God has given the modern world today, since the death of the last apostle. Back in 1986, this was a foreign concept, as many were involved in Medjugorje for the miracles and conversion stories, yet not taking much interest in the messages, even though Our Lady Herself said that She would give messages, “as it has never been in history from the beginning of the world.” (April 4, 1985). What was once a revolutionary idea in the Medjugorje world, is now being embraced by more and more people who are seeing the years of evidence that what a Friend of Medjugorje believed was true.

The Caritas Mission House in Medjugorje, August 5, 2019, – August 5, was a busy day in the Caritas Mission House as pilgrims came to get a copy of Our Lady’s latest message. The lines flowing outside the doors cannot be seen in this picture, but are commonly seen on a daily basis. When a Friend of Medjugorje first felt the call to have a presence in Medjugorje, the decision was not easy, but the need was great for pilgrims to receive Our Lady’s words. Now, 23 years later, the Caritas Mission House has become known as the “Message Place” where pilgrims know they can come to receive not only Our Lady’s latest message, but spiritual materials to support them in their daily walk of conversion. Our Lady’s words illuminate with wisdom. Those with simple hearts understand. Those with troubled hearts find healing. Those with divided hearts receive unity with God.
