Medjugorje, Our Lady’s apparitions, their purpose is to change the world. That happens by each person deciding to follow Our Lady. In this time, Our Lady’s time, we can be assured that Her imploring before Her Son is heard. But, one has to take the first step.
Mirjana, with open hands to Our Lady on August 2, 2016. Do we have our hands open to Our Lady? Even more so, do we have our hearts open to Our Lady? If our hearts and hands are not open to Our Lady, then we will always remain the same.
Fr. Jozo told a story about an aide to a Cardinal that came to Medjugorje. The aide was a great theologian, rushing to learn and increase his knowledge. The theologian told Fr. Jozo, “I was just rushing to grow and grow. My intellect and my knowledge grew and I fell.”
The theologian fell into depression because he forgot to pray while he was seeking to increase his knowledge. After coming to Medjugorje he was healed. Fr. Jozo said this about the theologian:
“…[Our Lady] is the one who made him in love with Her messages, with Her. How necessary it is today to come to Medjugorje. You must not feel that it is far away, that the ocean separates us. No, it is bridges of love and grace that connect us. Our Lady has bridged the furthest islands and you have come. Each one of you is invited and no one is here by accident. You have not wandered astray here. You are called here….”1
When we take the first step towards Our Lady in Medjugorje, and we open our hearts and our hands to Her, when we push ourselves beyond what we think we can endure, She changes us.
