What does it mean that Our Lady said on February 2, 2020:
“…I am chosen to be the Mother of God and your mother.”
Is Our Lady just simply making a theological statement? Or, is this a statement telling more than what is read here?
Monday, Feb. 17, 2020: A Caritas Community child, Polly Kate, aged 3, drags a bag of garbage to the dumpster.
Polly Kate tried to throw the bag into the dumpster but could not make it because she was too short, and the bag fell on top of her.
Polly decided to get smart and get a running start, but the bag fell on top of her again.
Hannah, aged 4, decides to give Polly a hand, but together they were still too short to make it into the dumpster.
Hannah’s mom, seeing the effort, comes on the scene.
Hannah’s mom picks up Polly Kate so the little one can put the garbage in the dumpster. Our Lady works through you, not doing it for you, to help you. Our Lady is always ready to “encourage,” so we can have “courage” to tackle anything.
We speak to people all over the world. We know that there are many people in the world today with tons of garbage in their lives. Not matter how hard they try they cannot get rid of it. They try to get a running start, and it falls back on top of them. Their own efforts fail, so they try to get their friends to help, or they get a psychiatrist, and still, they cannot get rid of the garbage in their lives. What does it take?
Our Lady said:
“…I am… your mother.”
Our Lady is our Mother who can help us. But also, Our Lady said:
“…I am… the Mother of God…”
Our Lady’s Motherly power is above a human power. Our Lady said:
“…I am chosen…”
Am chosen, not was chosen. Our Lady is Mother of God, not in the past, but in the present. But, She is also our Mother, now, in the present. Her Motherly power, above human power, is right now. Our Lady said on May 2, 2009:
“…I will be with you, you just call me: ‘Here we are Mother, lead us.’”
Our Lady is here for us, to help us get rid of the garbage in our lives. Our Lady tells us:
May 2, 2011
“…with my motherly love I desire to help you to be free of the dirtiness of the past and to begin to live anew and differently.”
We cannot do it on our own power. Our friends cannot do it for us. But the Mother can help us to do it, easily. Call out to Her to help rid your lives of the garbage.

Amazing how She works! This was a recent random message for us. I’ve been seeing repeated random messages lately. She is Our Mother, who never gives up! How many times I repeat myself as a mother…And they say She chatters too much! No…She’s Our Mother! And we are the littles who need Her!

Beautiful, simple, profound. Our Lady’s words are encouraging and full of hope for each of us NOW!
I loved the simple profoundness of these pictures. What a beautiful lesson they tell. Is it any wonder that Our Lady wants us to be “little children.” As always, a Friend of Medjugorje, you take life as it happens, and bring Our Lady into it so wonder-fully.
