Fatima 100th Anniversary Jubilee

Our Lady of Medjugorje said in Spring 1982:

“…My children, have you not observed that faith began to extinguish itself? There are many who do not come to church except through habit. It is necessary to awaken the faith. It is a gift from God. If it is necessary, I will appear in each home…”

These words were given 65 years after the apparitions of Fatima ended, in October 1917. The world was so far away from God that faith itself was nearly extinguished.

The building of the Cross in Medjugorje was an act of faith by the villagers in 1933. The inscription on the Cross in Medjugorje reads, “To Jesus Christ, the Redeemer of Mankind, as a sign of our faith, hope and love…”

When Our Lady came to Medjugorje, She said that the Cross was providential and part of God’s plan. The foundation was laid for Our Lady to come to their village in 1981, thus beginning to turn around the direction the world was heading.

The following picture was taken this morning at Caritas, Alabama, October 13, 2017, about the same time as the above picture was taken in Medjugorje.

When a Friend of Medjugorje bought the land out here in 1976, he began many Consecrations of this land, burying Miraculous Medals all over the land, spending time in the mountains in communication with God, calling upon His presence and blessing. Little did a Friend of Medjugorje know, that Our Lady would come to his home in 1988, initiating a major part of Her Medjugorje plan. The foundation had been laid for Her to come.

In Medjugorje, at Caritas, the foundation was faith. A Friend of Medjugorje writes about faith:

“Without it, nothing is possible. Faith. Even people who deny God must have faith in themselves to accomplish a task. Our age has all but lost its faith. Our Lady tells us why She comes:

“…My children, have you not observed that Faith began to extinguish itself?…”

Faith is in crisis. Our Lady tells us: Faith began to extinguishing itself; many Christians live as pagans; there are few true believers…

Our Lady says repeatedly: “Deepen your faith,”…strengthen your faith with prayer,”…“faith will not know how to be alive without prayer.” These were among the first words spoken in the first few days and months of the apparitions by Our Lady. Because faith is mentioned so frequently in the beginning of Her apparitions, this signifies the importance of a crisis of faith during our time.

Faith is crucial and it is what will be tested the most in our walk with Our Lady’s plans. Once strengthened, it will sustain us as the foundation of our life and help us to maintain peace in the midst of war…”¹

Faith laid the foundation in Medjugorje and Caritas for Our Lady to have a place prepared for Her apparitions. Her apparitions in the home of a Friend of Medjugorje and his wife are a sign for us, and an encouragement that where faith is planted, She will have the ability to work wonders, if necessary appearing in each home. Faith is the vital element. This the true message of Fatima, which has led up to Medjugorje, the last apparitions on earth, bringing the message of conversion, a message to return to the faith.
