Monday August 14, 2017 A.D.
A member of the Caritas Community was present at Marija’s apparition this evening in Medjugorje in Maria’s private chapel. Marija is the visionary who receives the message of Our Lady on the 25th of every month. It is not common for Marija to receive a message on other days outside of the 25th. Today is the Eve of Our Lady’s Assumption. From the many times Marija has come to Caritas in Alabama for special events, such as for Her birthday on August 5, 2005, or for the consecration of the United States on several July 4th gatherings, the vigil before the actual feast day is often recognized by Our Lady as just as important as the actual feast day itself. Our Lady on only two occasions used the word “vigil” in Her apparitions. One of those occasions was while She was at Caritas in Her first apparitions to Marija in November 1988. She said on November 25, 1988:
Today, after the apparition, Marija with much joy said that Our Lady gave a message today, on the Vigil of the Assumption, August 14, 2017. After praying the Joyful and Glorious mysteries of the Rosary, Marija began to pray the 7 Our Father’s, Hail Mary’s and Glory Be’s. Our Lady came at around 6:40 p.m. The following is Marija’s description of the apparition:
“When Our Lady came, I recommended all of you, all your intentions and all that you hold in your hearts. Then Our Lady prayed over us. She prayed over us for a long time. Our Lady blessed us all. I felt that Our Lady may want to say something to us, so I said to Her, “Mother, we love you.” Our Lady smiled and said:
The Caritas Community member who was present at the apparition said it was very sweet to hear Marija relay her short conversation with Our Lady. It was truly a joyful encounter in prayer.
