We as instruments* are to look for opportunities to evangelize, to bring souls to Our Lady, and through Her, to help save the world. But what can we as individuals do? St. Louis de Montfort wrote that the surest way to God is through Our Lady. Is there anything one can do, more effective than getting hearts physically before Our Lady? This July 1-5, you as an individual can help evangelize the world, through Our Lady’s apparitions at Caritas, a special gathering for the re-consecration of the United States, unlike any years previous. But how is prayer for the United States evangelizing the world? The following excerpt from A Friend of Medjugorje was written in They Fired the First Shot 2012, and explains how:
Pope Benedict XVI sees the United States as the nation who must lead the evangelization of the world to Christ. Pope Benedict XVI speaking to the United States bishops in Rome on January 19, 2012 said:
“One of the most memorable aspects of my Pastoral visit to the United States was the opportunity it afforded me to reflect on American’s historical experience of religious freedom, and specifically the relationship between religion and culture… as enshrined in your nation’s founding documents, grounded in a worldview shaped not only by faith but a commitment to certain ethical principles deriving from nature and nature’s God.” 1
Benedict was referring to America’s faith and its Christian principles. Benedict voiced concerns to the bishops of “attempts being made to limit that most cherished of American freedoms, the freedom of religion.” The Pro Nuncio to the United States, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, at a speech in Columbus, Ohio at the Pontifical College Josephinum, stated:
“The Church in the United States should lead the entire Church in the world…This is a great task, but you have the determination and the grace to do it. This I know is the vision of the Holy Father regarding the Church in the United States.” 2
The United States of America is called to evangelize the nation and therefore, the whole world through repentance.”

* In a private apparition in Marija’s home, on May 31, 1995, with only Marija and A Friend of Medjugorje present, Our Lady gave a message for him, his family and the Community of Caritas. Our Lady said, ““Little children, I desire that through your lives you are witnesses, that you are my extended hands, my instruments. Get as many hearts as you can close to my heart and lead them to God, to a way of salvation.” As an instrument of Our Lady, She has repeatedly inspired A Friend of Medjugorje with spiritual projects for the evangelization of souls. Many of these projects come at a cost of trial and difficulty, but those bring grace for the salvation of souls. Do not be deterred by any obstacles you may encounter trying to come for Our Lady’s apparitions July 1-5, or in bringing others.
